Heck if it was me and I had to sit and listen to what my daughter had done, the lies that came out of her mouth as well as telling me how I was a bad abusive mother, I would be chugging pills down with a bottle of Jack

Tis was Jodi that snuck the pill no?

Another tape I hope we get to see.
I want to know if the have her on tape at WalMart buying the gas can!
Her hair doesn't matter... we all know why she colored it.
The jurors ay want to know for sure though! I would if I was on a DP case!

Anyone know?
Was any of ALV's testimony not in favor of defense?

If it was 100%, that is troubling as that is so unlikely after being asked so many Qs about so many things.

An honest witness with so much testimony is not very likely to have 100% answers in favor of one side. JMOOC.

One could argue that since Jodi was the ultimate fatal abuser, terroristic stalker and meter out of domestic violence that ALV's entire testiphony was about JA.

Looking at it any other way renders it meritless.

No, not Sandy! Jodi was taking the pill....guess she's been doing this the whole trial.

My recollection of the legal process in a self-defense case is that in AZ once self defense is asserted, burden then shifts to Prosecution to prove it WAS NOT self defense. With only JA's testimony and ALV's opinion based on b.s., JM has to completely discredit ALV. JA discredited herself.

My understanding is the opposite, that the defense is required to prove self defense as they've already admitted JA killed TA. I thought that's why JA had to testify.
In either case the state has proven pre-meditation IMO and the DT has not proven otherwise. :jail: Bye bye JA

Something I am curious about....didn't Sandy come to Mesa in order to help Jodi move? And, she didn't meet Travis? In the Flores interview, she said she had never met him. Was he out of town? How long was she there? What was the fight with Jodi about?

  • #1,527
Did ALV say she DIDNT know how to do email etc
Most experts know how to do.

Yes she did. You can tell from that continuum roadmap of hers she can't use MS word either. :floorlaugh: Or likely Google. How does an expert stay current in their field if they have to go to a library to do research?

Jodi kept them apart, imo. Her father said she was very secretive and never let them visit any of her homes or her friends.

I always thought it was odd that her Mom didn't follow the U-Haul back to California. I did that when my DD moved. We drove alongside each other pretty much, and stayed in a motel and did rest stops together etc. I cannot imagine putting my DD in a UHaul and just driving off and going the 1200 miles separately. I've always thought for years a person serving LWOP would live a truely horrible life behind bars even knowing their freedoms of exercise etc...especially here in AZ.

To know a person who did exactly what she did to Travis, is blowing air out of her azz saying she has fauxfog, fognesia, etc...and the hippocampus per Dr. Dick says it can be this part of the brain that blocks it off basically, and this so called DV from Happy Days is up now, I'm so ready for an end and the final sentence. She's evil to the core. Get her off the internet & the news. Appeal over a nosebleed due to an attorney that moved swiftly by you, who cares? This witch has cost enough.

Hang 'em high. Good movie. Sorry, just pent up anger aka rant.

That's the time Jodie was mad at her mamasita and kicked her.

As to the discussion of the bullet first theory...

I'm one who believes an ME and facts before a proven liar.

IIRC
-The ME testified that the throat slashing would have immediately and completely incompacitated TA.

-The gunshot would have incompacitated him very quickly and that it would have shocked his brain into not being coherant enough to defend himself.

-The knife into the chest would have taken a minute or so before TA was fully incompacitated.

IF shot first, I can't believe that TA could make it down the hall towards the bedroom and have had all those defensive wounds.

As per the ME, the bullet actually went through part of the frontal lobe of the brain, not that far but he believed it would have done some damage. I do agree however, that with the amount of decomposing it would be hard to say either way. But, I would tend to believe any gun shot anywhere to the head even not being fatal would stun you enough to not fight back.

I'm going with knife first until proven wrong :)

JMO.

Isn't it ridiculous that JA is actually going with the "gun just went off" in self-defense story? I guess when a defendant has nothing but lies to explain premeditated murder, then taking a gamble with self defense is the last resort as a defense.

I just don't see how any juror in their right mind could conclude that Travis was actually going to kill this woman because she dropped a camera. Gee whiz - I guess that's the best she could come up. Then she wants the jury to believe that a wet, naked man (who had just been shot in the head - according to her) still gave a crap about a camera and was still such a threat that she couldn't run out of the house. Hmmm, let's see - she could outrun him after being body slammed in order to get the gun to shoot him with, but she couldn't outrun him after she shot him? How ridiculous. And finally, she wants the jury to believe that after engaging in overkill to defend herself, she just drove away into the sunset - without calling 911 - to meet her next booty call because of a fog.

Lol on the hippocampus. Made me get my cackle on.

<Snipped>

Being shot in the head with JHP ammo can definitely bring a person down and kill them. A JHP bullet passing through the frontal lobe, which is responsible for motor function, leads me to believe that if Travis was shot first, he would not have been able to attempt escape down the hallway let alone fend off a vicious knife attack, evidenced by defensive wounds found on his body.

<Snipped>

Dr. Horn, the M.E. and author of the autopsy report said as much.

One of the reasons the bullet didn't exit through the mandible was that it had slowed and expanded so much as it impacted Travis's head. This was not a glancing blow. Its trajectory took it through his brain's frontal lobe.

The spinning, expanding bullet's profile enlarges dramatically when the hollow-pointed, malleable slug makes contact and maintains that expansive contact until it finally and cataclysmically comes to rest. The damage path, or 'wake' of the bullet is no longer .25 caliber. It is much wider and non-uniform in pattern and shape.

Ripping, tearing, and expanding with the requisite gases traumatizes and destroys the tissues through which the now-unrecognizable-as-the-original-bullet slug is passing. The impact to his frontal lobe, if not immediately fatal is nonetheless devastating. With the trajectory being through the frontal lobe -- not simply "grazing the tip of the brain" as JW ignorantly and feebly proffered -- the victim would not have proceeded to the sink, nor to anywhere else under his own power.

Thus the defensive wounds cannot be explained if the frontal lobe were decimated in such a fashion. The victim would not be defending himself at that point.

My brain is still stuck on the 'Doctored Diaries', and I just realised that she did have the opportunity to rewrite them in jail - when she was acting as her own attorney. I wonder if LaViolette was in the picture that early.

Common sense tells me that she would have rewritten them before her arrest, and stashed them for Flores to find ... but ... she did not have self-defence as her plea back then. In fact, she stuck with the Ninja's for two more years.

So, I am thinking if LaViolette was already in the picture at the time of the pedo. letters, Arias would have access to all the evidence at that time (acting as own attorney); in possession of DV books to rewrite the journals using the applicable lingo, and the carefully crafted digs at Travis; along with the perfect way to substitute the new journals for the old, to Wilmott and Nurmi when they took back over.

I hate conspiracy theories as a rule. I'm just trying to figure out how she rigged those journals, because I know she did.

I'm here late... so someone may have already mentioned this. It makes sense... especially when you factor in that twice she was caught in jail with contraband pens, taped under her bed (and her sink, I think). Why would she risk disciplinary action over pens vs. pencils?? Because she needed pens to recreate her diary.

I noticed her partner had an email Adress on the website some posted today, so maybe she does it for her.

Also busted for fighting she claims self defence. She thieves some creams ,pens and lord knows. What else.

She actually had pens in her shampoo, or so someone averred.

Test those journal pages for Procter & Gamble emollients.

Yeah, she's on the pill. Apparently has been since well before the trial.

No testiphony about condoms, IUD's, or abortions so far.

I have always wondered if MAYBE she arrived at 4 am and let herself in the back way. If he was asleep upstairs with the doors closed, he would not have noticed.

It might have been Jodi that was on his computer at 4 am. Snooping, clicking on his 'history' to see what he was up to. Then she takes a quick nap, and surprises him the next day when he wakes up.

I think he would be less paranoid about her being there in the daylight, and she probably apologized profusely, and showed him the check she had for him. And she could say she had a new victim, I mean boyfriend, waiting for her arrival. From there, it was probably easy to get him to 'mess around a bit', for old times' sake. He figured she was onto someone new, who lived in Utah, and she lived in California, so he felt safe. JMO

Yeah, others have questioned it because Travis was cleaning floors and his roommates hadn't remembered anything about him having company around 11am. Your theory makes sense.

I think she was calling Travis along her trip. The last call was for a couple minutes right before she gassed up at 8:40 something before leaving Pasadena. She called Ryan to let him know she'd be there by 10am.

I just don't understand why she'd tell Ryan she was on the way, but then she headed to Mesa. Maybe she thought she'd shoot Travis in bed in his sleep and get back on the road and be only a couple hours off? But then his roommate was home, so she figured she couldn't do it without being heard and she was forced to wait.
