It's not a pause and replay type scenario, but what I tend to do if I have to miss a session of trial (actually I always miss the morning session) is; I will watch on wildabouttiral's live stream (no ads), then by the time the live stuff is finished I will go back and watch the earlier sessions on youtube - via either tawnidlly or croakerqueen123. Seems they are right on top of it most days.

You may not like doubling back like that but it works for me.

Thanks - Your help is greatly appreciated !

Still listening to the radio show ... I am so pro-prosecution in this case it's not normal, but I think it's a little bit of a step too far to say that witnesses for the defence will never work again, or ever be respected again. Surely in a free system we need witnesses on BOTH sides. I don't agree with what the witnesses are saying, but you can't say that nobody can be on the defence witness list safely. Otherwise there is no chance of justice, the accused has a right to a defence in a free society surely.

That middle picture genuinely breaks my heart to look at. I feel like the look in his eyes is one of sheer terror, like a child who feels helpless and all alone. It's like he's screaming for help with his eyes. In every other picture I've seen of him, his eyes are alive and bright and energetic. But this picture, the last one ever taken of his living face, is so frightening and IMO so telling. Although I doubt we'll ever know, but if that were the case, then she deserves a method of death so paramount and so inhumane. And furthermore, they should charge $100/seat admission for the event, with all proceeds going to the Alexander family. If I can in any way make the following statement legally binding: I will purchase a guaranteed 10 seats.

I disagree. I think that she deserves death, though LWOP would not bother me that much. But I do not think she deserves an inhumane method of death. Being angry with the murderer is one thing, but being vicious is another. I'd hate for the U.S. to turn into a third-world country in its administration of justice.

I don't believe Travis ever said 'I can't feel my legs' or anything like that. I go by the evidence and the evidence alone. I don't believe anything Arias says. She loves knowing that no one else knows what really happened. She loves inflicting pain and suffering. She loves to play games with people. I don't believe she inserts bits of truth into her stories the way ordinary killers might do.

ITA, rose! Further, why would JA remember that out of everything else that was in the fog? Why would she remember that?? And why did she even say that? IMO, it makes her look worse because what he "said" was so pitiful and awful? I guess she likes that spotlight a bit too much...

She thinks it's strategy by AVL .. an attempt, consistent with her 'fake flu', she was hoping to provoke a controversy and hoping JM will bring it up on the stand and say 'you tried to intimidate one of the victims family didn't you' goading him, and she would want to say that she 'feels for the family, is compassionate .. ' because she wants to say in front of the jury that she feels deeply for the victim and the victim's family.

Anyway, I think that's a whole lot of speculation, and nobody can know what ALV was thinking, but I don't agree that it was a calculated act to get JM to say something to her on the stand (speculation) to get her to respond (more speculation) for a speculated reason.

JMO

Think I'll wait to hear what she said to Sam before I start projecting opinions into what was meant by it.

Oh yes. I think she realized she came off as cra$y after saying Travis was not a victim. That's how she feels truly but she wants to change her image. She wants JM to bring it up she can say she feels sorry.

Barf.

BBM Good point! I forgot about the door.

I love your avatar. We had to put down our 14-year-old golden retriever yesterday and the house feels empty. The other golden is moping and mourning the loss of his sister. It was touching to see the cute doggie near your name.

That one really gets me. It was her excuse for leaving Travis behind with ninja's...

No ninja's... now what???

POOR TRAVIS!

I am very sensitive about this case, O.K.?

You know, I think people on here make jokes and keep the mood light at times precisely because of the sheer brutality of the murder. If I thought about Travis' last moments all the time then I wouldn't be able to function well at all. I use humour as a coping mechanism. It's not appropriate to laugh in court but in the comfort of our homes and the comfort of a virtual place like Websleuths it helps. All of us on Websleuths care deeply about Justice for Travis and I think we ought to stick together as we approach the final stages of this trial. :)

Beautiful post Mrs G. We might not agree with the witnesses, but it is part of the justice system. Alberti imperfect, it gives every one of us "our day in court".

Respectfully snipped by Judy

Serenity now. Serenity now.

Oh I had the exact same phrase in mind! Watching too much Seinfeld!

I was thinking about how JA would remain calm at times when Travis, like a normal human being, would vent and get mad at the crazy things she did.
For JA it was "Serenity now. Insanity later." Thanks Seinfeld!

Agree. imo, it's just stupid. The ws and fb nation is not as large and influential as some seem to believe it is. Especially among professionals. Yeah, they say what they say and it might be useful in a focus group kinda way, but mostly, the "followers" are viewed as irrelevant, to put it nicely. jmo

Yep. I might back away from a crazy woman with a knife, but
1) I would not sit down in the shower
2) if I were already in the shower, I could close the shower door on her, keeping the glass between me and the knife.
3) if she also had a gun, that would make me comply.

i think that once she set down/dropped the camera, she probably had both the gun and the knife in her hands. That is why TA could not really fight back. With a knife alone, she'd have to make a debilitating wound with the first or second thrust. Else, TA throwing a shoulder into her would have sent her sprawling as he had 50 to 80 pounds on her.

I agree she forced him to sit in the stall - Do you remember when Juan Martinez asked her when he had her on the stand, something like this:
"Martinez began displaying the deleted/recovered photos from 6/4/08. They discussed where Jodi was standing when she took them. "How far away from Travis were you when this photo was taken", he asked. I don't know, maybe 2 feet? Arias replied. "And isn't it true that YOU WERE DIRECTING Mr. Alexander during this photo shoot and telling him where to stand and how to pose?". "It was both of us", Arias answered.

Yep, and she just had to be thinking it while standing on her head waiting for Flores that time!

I am unsure of a few things here based on words used at times.
"Stalking", "break-in"

1. He did let her in voluntarilly?
2. She showed up unannounced?
3. Why did he let her in if he had told others she was a psycho or whatever words he used, and if he were found dead, she would be the one who did it. So why let her in?

He didn't keep the house locked. The roommates didn't even have keys.
She could have just walked in or come in the doggie door and confronted him with a gun...

I don't think he knew she was coming.
He knew she had lost her last nut at that point...
some people think even then he would not turn
down a romp in the hay.

I want to say he could but Imma girl so I am lacking
a male brain and testosterone.

* photos omitted for space

Shower doors aren't crystal clear. They're mottled or shaded to give a modicum of privacy for the person in the shower. Those droplets are either artifact or minute water spray on the camera lens from the door being open or most likely just water spray falling around him. Water spray is more intense the farther it falls from the source (shower head, top of waterfall, garden hose, etc.), and Travis was seated in that photo. Had the door been shut even if for some bizarre reason it was crystal clear glass the door would have been opaque with steam from the hot water.

My master bathroom shower has glass that is absolutely crystal clear. Also, when the ceiling vent/fan is running, mine doesn't steam up.

I am so sorry. We have had to go through that several times and it broke our hearts. They are the best "kids" anyone could ever have. I bet your boy is grieving, too. :heartbeat:

There are some things I'm not sure about in this case. This is not one of them. She would not have taken so much trouble to hide her tracks in Arizona only to tell THE main person that she was going to visit him. I think she called him on her way to ask him his plans and make sure he was there.

Once she did get there she must have apologised for whatever blackmailing she had done, told him she wanted to return his money. also that she was going to see Ryan Burns and that she was going to finally move on with her life (Travis would have been relieved) and then finally lured him to have sex one last time.
