I'm so glad you drew attention to that, josie. It has been the theme of the defence case, avidly perpetuated by Alyce, that anything beyond the missionary position for purposes of procreation is either 'deviant' or '', with imaginary pedophilia thrown in for good measure.

I agree. Houston is the boob job capital of the world. There are more breast enhancement surgeries performed here than anywhere else. In the 80s it was the trend to buy your daughter a boob job for a high school graduation gift, lol.

But the defense brought that nonsense up anyway.

And if he were really an abuser, there'd be no need to grasp at such inane straws trying to paint him into one. There's next to no controlling behaviors on Travis' part that I can find - in fact, contrary to what I'd expect in someone who commits IPV; like encouraging the 'victim' to date others; lending them a car; 'writing off' a BMW instead of going ballistic over it; not coercing them into co-habitating or marriage; not stalking (at least by proxy) when the victim leaves the geographical area, etc, just to name a few.

I've had a feeling for quite awhile at least one juror is intimately knowledgeable of intimate partner violence too - perhaps not first hand - but something about the way a few questions have been worded make me believe that.

I felt the exact same way at first. Plus, to me she seemed knowledgable and experienced in her field. Then the cross started and it all went down hill. It took her 1/2 an hour and 5 side bars to answer a yes/no question, she was disrespectful to the prosecutor and the court, and she made herself look ignorant. I've watched several trials and I can't think of a witness that has been more annoying or that I've disliked more than her.

But...How do you REALLY feel? :floorlaugh:

I wonder if they are supposed to be a DT 'bombshell' and they've been holding off on them so they could finish their Case in Chief with them.

Jodi alluded to these tapes. I'm not sure if it was in the interrogation tapes or during testimony. Remember, she said she would try to record, but she would hang up and then realize she forgot to save it. Or, she said she would only get part of the conversation....... for some reason. (laugh, laugh) The reason she only got part is because she deleted the rest! She saved anything that made Travis look bad, and deleted anything that explained what Travis was mad about. These tapes will probably be so one-sided!

If these partial tapes are allowed in, then can Juan play the tape of her saying they are only "parts" of their conversation, and then her laughing about it? You know.....it's like she is saying, i'm just ditzy....nothing nefarious here!
