I just ordered the book from Amazon.
Just started. We are talking about the first 30 pages. I posted about the first two pages. Tell us your thoughts on what you have read so farHas the book club started yet?
Hey purple turtle. When is the first zoom gathering?
**Lost in the interwebs**
The fact that you have been reading true crime for 50 years and this book is imprinted on your brain as one of the most horrific says a lot.I have to say, I think this story is one of the most horrific crime stories I’ve ever read, and I’ve been reading them for 50 years. I’m almost done with the book. Aphrodite did a great job of getting the back stories, and the book is mostly easy to follow along. I am not really good with names, so when an author writes about a person using just the first name, and then switches to the last name, I tend to get confused. But that’s just me…![]()
Yes it is Janet. Just start posting your thoughts. We are talking about the first 30 pages. We may move it along faster but it depends on how things go here. It will take us a bit to get the kinks out.Is this where we will discuss the book for book club?
We Officially started discussing the actual book today on this thread. Tell us what you thought of the book so far up to the first 30 pagesOh I thought there was something today? Now I'm confused
Yes but @SensibleCrime you are at the link and you are at the right place. Read for a bit and you will see how the discussion works. It is easy but can be confusing until you figure it out. I'm going to comment on what "Stella" said in just a moment in another post.I just joined Websleuths. I'm asking for the link. It's [email protected], right?
That is so true. It proves that even 30 or so years ago horrific crimes were happening. This isn't just a new phenomenon. I don't think these teenagers understood the horrific nature of what they were about to do.I have read and watched this story years ago. These girls remind me of the slender man killers.
RIGHT @Chimpmunk43. She felt bad AFTER but it is a little too late.I had to set it down a few times. The details made me cry and cringe. I feel so sad for her. No one deserves that. When Melinda said she felt bad, I'm like now you feel bad kinda too late for that.
