I remember when we searched with the large search that the team leaders kept saying we were to search from the roadways to 25 yards into the brush and no further. They were convinced that Casey was too lazy to have hidden her further than 75 feet into the dense thicket, they expected it to be much less than that. I don't know if they based that on opinions from Profilers or what. At the time I disagreed because Casey is pretty athletic and I thought she could have hiked pretty far in, but they were right, she didn't bother to walk even 20 feet before tossing the poor baby like trash. :(

ETA: we didn't search anywhere near where she was found

Wow!!! I thought this was a joke when I saw it...what do you make of it?

The creator of the popular Bones books and TV series KATHY REICHS is being called to offer expert testimony for the defense in the sensational trial of accused murder mom CASEY ANTHONY!.

Forensics anthropologist and best selling author Kathy Reichs is among the expert witnesses named by Anthony's defense team.

Reich's series of Bones book is the basis for the hit Fox series and she's also an exec producer of the show that stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel.

Meanwhile, Anthony attorney Cheney Mason told WESH-TV Orlando that the defense team had 15 to 20 volunteers who say they didn't see the toddler's remains "exactly on the spot" where they later were found.

This allegation seems to back up defense contention that someone else dumped the child's remains in the woods after Anthony was jailed.

Mason says the Anthony defense team will present a full list of witnesses Friday.

Casey, who is accused of murdering her daughter Caylee, remains in police custody under lock-up. The sensational murder trial is docketed to begin in May.

What on earth can Kathy Reichs have to say about anything and 20 more witnesses to testify the remains weren't there, color me skeptical.

Ahhhh, found one of the posts I was thinking of. Of course our most illustrious Bond wrote it long ago. But it stuck in the wee fibers of me brain. The photo is marked to illustrate theories put here. And it's amazing that back in Sept 09 these theories still hold the truth while JB's sink further into the abyss.

Thanks BJB for an excellent summary.

FWIW, that hose reel was sitting in front of the basketball hoop out in their front driveway area as of July of 2010. Don't know what that might have to do with anything other than they must have moved it a couple of times now and then. Just remembered seeing it when I did my impromptu drive-by

jayla,
remember it was said by tim miller I think while casey was in the house on confinement that was over heard, she used the shovel to take the ladder out of the pool. Not for digging bamboo root. Allegedly caseys own words.
so if that is so, then when casey had the shovel the pool ladder was in the pool and either didnt get it out, or cindy was lying, and casey heard the lie the ladder was on the pool blah blah blah. It never ends with these two. Im fried for the day...God speed everyone.

Yep, that info was from TraceyM.

After seeing the prolific, dinosaur-sized grasshoppers I saw this past summer in Florida, I would not want to go 2 feet in-Yuck! :nono:

I don't think she had any plan at all - as LP said, she thought only about 10 minutes ahead. She wanted to get to TL's, had to dump the baby somewhere and being convenient, that's where she left poor little Caylee. She went on her way - la-dee-da - and maybe she'd think about it another day, or not, like Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind.
I have also always thought that CA realized where the body was when that guy (sorry - forgot his name) was searching behind the school and brought CA a stuffed animal. She said it wasn't Caylee's, but I think it was and it was shortly after that DC was searching around the area nearby.

Let's see 15 to 20 volunteers. Sounds almost like a KC "mistruth" 1 1/2 to 2 years that nanny has been babysitting. jmo

The NEW witnesses (TES searchers) that the Defense claims searched the spot where Caylee was later found will be deposed by the Prosecution on Thursday...

EVEN IF and that is a BIG IF - they have witnesses who say they didn't see the body ther - how on earth are they going explain how Caylee got from Caseys hands into the woods? Will he go with the fake nanny? NO WAY a JURY will believe KC.

If I didn't consider not reporting Caylee missing for thirty-one days I just might buy that someone else dumped and moved Caylee.

If..

..the damn car didn't smell like there had been a dead body in it. No way the defense is going to be able to explain that away. Casey had Caylee's body in that car. Casey alone dumped that sweet child in her pets graveyard.

We need a new poll that asks if Caylee was moved from:

A: KC's Car
B: The Playhouse
C: The Anthony home
D: The Anthony backyard

not if...but where from....

All of the above...JMHO

It's the only real truth the defense has stated, thus far...Caylee's little body was moved...and it appears three times before she was found in her final resting place..Poor Caylee....JMHO

Justice for Caylee

Thank you both. I asked this same question or rather made a statement posts ago directly to JB. Where exactly was Caylee moved from? The SODDI won't fly and ICA and/or one of the A clan were to only ones who had physical control over Caylee. CA, GA and LA all proclaim none of them had physical control. So in the process of elimination according to them, this leaves only the birth vessel, ICA.

I'm not concerned with this. This defense has stated a lot of things over the course of the last two and half years, and all it has gotten them is laughed at by other attorneys and sanctioned by the Chief Justice. As far as Kathy Reichs is concerned, well, she isn't the first "name" to attach themselves to this case. The others, however, have turned tail and run in the face of overwhelming evidence. I notice there is no statement as to what testimony Dr. Reichs can offer that helps ICA. She is, however, connected to the studios. Perhaps JB is hoping for a role in an episode of "Bones" when the show mimicks Caylee's case. This is just more chest-thumping by the defense. MOO

IMO, Caylee was first moved OUT of the house.
Casey "prepared" her in the safety and seclusion of the home. The duct tape, the sticker, the blankets, the garbage bags and laundry hamper.
There is no way that she took a chance of "preparing her" in the garage, with her car backed in, door open, taking a chance that someone could come home and see her, and catch her in the act.

From the house, possibly, to the playhouse while she tried to dig a shallow grave in the backyard.
IF Caylee was indeed buried for a few days in the backyard, I think that the family dogs would have alerted to it immediatly; with barking and digging, etc.
Maybe Casey happened to be home at the time, doing one of her scavenger grocery shopping trips, let the dogs out while she got things together, and the dogs alerted her "this isn't going to work".

From the shallow grave in the backyard, to her car, and then down the street a couple of days later.
I think the day that Caylee was tossed in the woods is the day that George approached her about the gas cans.

I have always thought that George's story of his telling Casey about the stolen gas cans was BS ~
He suspected her, and the 2 of them did not get along.
WHY would a person even approach the subject with her, risking a fight and fuss, when he could have easily just gotton up while she was in the bedroom, and walk out to the car and look without her knowing?
If the gas cans aren't there, no harm, no fowl, no fight.
That's what I would have done.

I've always thought that IF Caylee was still in the trunk that day, that George either saw "something", or, smelled something.

He claims she took off like a bat out of he$$, and I would bet that George tried to follow her. {the great "chase"}

She would have had a head start on him, if he had to go back into the house for his keys.
Her fastest way of disappearing would have been to have driven up to the school on that dead end, park, wait a few minutes, turn around and dump Caylee on her way "out", leaving George way ahead of her in the direction that he would have assumed that she had taken.

Anyway = back on track.
Yeah, she was moved alright.

From the house, to the playhouse, to a tempory place in the backyard, to the car and then to the woods.
By her mother.

So JJ and LB didn't work out for the defense and they were able to find 15-20 more witnesses that say that they searched this exact spot Caylee was eventually found and she was not there when they searched?

My question to these witnesses... "Which spot? Where her skull was found? Her ribs? Vertebra? Her femur? Her teeth? Need I go on?"

Thank you to Harmony2 for posting this map in the DC searching the woods thread!

And what you have just pointed out is exactly what the state will ask these new witness's.

They will also show them pictures with those little crime scene flags, and ask, did you search here and find anything??

Thanks to both of you!

Wow. I read it was a large area, but wow, that map really shows what a huge area she was spread over. Yeah, one look at a map like that, I bet those supposed TES witnesses will change their tune...

Do we know for a fact that the pink baby blanket found in those woods is connected to Caylee?

  • #200
Lola ~ I'm not sure about the pink blanket, but, her Winny the Pooh blanket was with her I'm pretty sure.
