What are the consistencies in the Routier's stories?

I don't think that Darlie is less human for her actions with the thong but I think it definitely shows her mental stability and lack of respect for others. To not even care what neighbors thought is dehumanizing them and not a loving caring girl. Going from being extremely flashy one week and not even coming out of the bedroom or combing the hair the next is not normal. I think it is really sad and feel that thong display was a sign of the frenzy that Darlie was in part of the time and the dark misery that she was going to sink into. Either that or she is just a sociopath who doesn't care what anyone thinks if it does not benefit her.

Can anyone tell me if Darlie really stayed with her dad at age 8 and didn't go live with her mother until she was 13? I just purchased Hush Little Babies which sure seems to have lots of mistakes.

Right, something was wrong. That's really all I've been trying to say. That she dressed.. ok we'll use your word, flashy, and then just stopped caring about her appearance. In all the pictures I've seen of her she's been made up. Her hair did not have black roots. Then suddenly there's that picture of her at Xmas. She's got a sweater on, she's not dressed for just hanging around the house, but she doesn't have any make-up on. Her hair is flat and greasy and she's not smiling her normal big smile. The difference is amazing and I think it means something. NO excuse for murder. I think if somebody had helped her, this might not have ever happened. Maybe other women can deal with it and get past it, but with everything else and with Darlie's regular personality, she couldn't.

Another thing they do is whenever there is a natural disaster, news crews from all over show up and they grab the most countryfied hick they find and he never ever has any fricking teeth!!! And there he is on national TV representing the south like it is made up of a population of illiterate, toothless hillbillies. Mortifies me every time.
If they do manage to find someone with teeth, there are usually idiots in the background jumping around and waving at the camera. So you've got the half-not-country hick talking about something very serious, but they still ruin it because the true country hicks are acting like idiots. "Hey Ma, I'm on TV!" Ugh

They don't threaten city officals with an axe handle in the front yard either.

I scared the guy so bad he got himself transferred to another department.
I'm surprised you weren't arrested or were you? What did the poor man want in the first place? Dare I ask? Oh, I just saw you said handle. Well, that's a big difference. HA HA That's not in Mama's rule book, so I guess it's ok. I hope you weren't chomping gum or wearing white shoes after Labor Day.

I'll look it up in Babs' book and Springer's. He's got a LOT of mistakes. Really dumb ones. Doesn't he say the "intruder" dropped the knife on the garage floor and that she picked it up and then she put it on the UR floor? I know he says she stood up and struggled with the guy and that he actually fled from her. Darlie, the Wonder Girl.

I just realized what's different about her. It's not the clothes, the hair or the nails. It's her eyes. Where did that little twinkle go?

What twinkle? The one in the silly string video?

So where is this picture?

O, come on, the only thing different about Darlie is that her kids were killed.

Do you ever watch Big Brother? Well, in one of the BB shows they had a woman in her thirties from Vegas who had a boob job like Darlie's and a wine glass shape. The other girls said terrible things about her, even that she was not a good mother (she had 6 kids) because she didn't look or dress like a mother should. I really didn't care for the woman myself, but the hair on the back of my neck went up when they started trying to label her as a bad person because her appearance was different from theirs. There is a place for everyone in this world, even big boobed Mamas who like to strutt their stuff. Making a man drool is not the same as jumping his bones. I know we have to make some judgments on appearance, and rightly so. I just think that we get carried away sometimes and it can be very hurtful to others sometimes. Not everyone needs to dress like a lady. We don't live in Stetford. O, what a dull world it would be if we did.

I think we just don't want to admit that someone like us generally speaking would do something as atrocious as butcher their young for money or any other reason. We have to find something significantly different about them to shake off the stench. But the truth is....some of the nicest people do some of the meanest, most sadistic things. Everyday people do kill their young sometimes. That shouldn't cause any skin off of our noses though because fortunately those who do are in the minority.

No, I wasn't saying Darlie is different from other people. I was saying she changed in the photos. The pictures are telling us something. They are telling us that Darlie was depressed in the months before the murders. No makeup, greasy hair, half-hearted smile. But it's not that, there's no spark in her eyes anymore. Darlie always smiled like she had a little secret. She had a pretty smile and her eyes were always lit up. The twinkle had faded away in that photo of her and Drake.

No, in every picture I've ever seen of Darlie except for the police photos and the Xmas one.

She met Darin when she was 15 and they hit it off right away. You think she was busy between 13 and 15????? Even if she was, she would have been below the age of consent legally. I don't think we could hold it against her.
I just read in Babs' book that Darlie began begging her mother to allow her to date at 13. Mama Darlie caved at 14 and let her. Darlie met a boy named Eric Nyiri and they began dating. According to Babs the 2 spent all of their free time together. page 48. I don't know if that's true or not, but it shows I didn't pull it out of the air. There is nothing said about the 2 having sex. If Darlie and her mother felt she was old enough to date this boy and spend all of her time with him, if they did have sex when she was 14, she knew what she was doing. They were the same age. If they did it, it wouldn't have been molestation.

You can't tell that from professional photos. I mean, maybe you could from family snapshots if a ton of them were taken in the last couple of years, but that sounds more like something you would find in a novel than anything that could be done in real life with any degree of success. What if she stubbed her toe just moments before the photo was taken. She might look angry or irritated or moody. What if she just burned the potatoes? Now that is depressing!!!! And disappointing! How can you tell if her mood is reflective of her emotions or if there is just some temporary thing going on we don't know about?

That was back in Pennsylvania. I don't think she ever mentions another boyfriend in Texas.

It's not a pro photo. It's one taken at her house. I was not trying to diagnose Darlie, it is my opinion that she looks very different. I don't think burning the potatoes would cause her to forget to put her makeup on or wash her hair. I'm not the only one who noticed a difference. Darlie's friends have said the same thing. She stopped caring about things and she stayed in her room all the time. So if I was just getting that from a photo, fine, I'm way off base. I'm not just going by the photos though. I am saying I believe her friends when they say there was a difference because I see it too.

Why in the world does that matter? She had a boyfriend before Darin at age 14. It makes no difference where she was.

Oh good grief Goody! Of course there is a huge difference in the way she looked. Why are you trying to say something different than is clearly seen in the pictures? She didn't want another baby. She hoped it was a girl. It wasn't....and that just added to her depression. If she had hurt her toe or burned the dinner she would not have been sitting down for a pic. Get over it.

You just see what you want to see. I have looked at the pics at justicefordarlie and I don't see anything unusual about them at all. I think you - all are making a mountain out of a molehill, trying to squeeze out a conclusion that supports your theories. No offense, but I don't know any doctor who would are to make a diagnosis based on some photos on the internet. Darlie may have been depressed but you will never prove it with her photos. I dare you to try.
