The Black Dahlia case is incredibly frustrating.
I think of her every time i see a docu on the Cecil Hotel. There is quite the history in that hotel and they have reopened it to some major chaos in some aspects. The Black Dahlia case is incredibly frustrating.
Several of the cases you mentioned get to me too, but the Terrance Williams and Felipe still haunt me. I believe the police officer named Caulkins (not sure of the name at this moment)_ murdered both of them and got away with it. This occurred in Naples Fla. There was some investigation but they could not prove he did it. So so tragic and sad.Murder cases that are solved but still haunt me:
-Trisha Autry (happened 15 minutes from where I grew up, I was 11 and it was horrible)
-Lizzy Shelley (happened where I was living at the time, right by my stepson’s school. I even recall seeing police and search dogs doing a sweep in a field looking for her. I pulled over and bawled)
-Shannan Watts and her two girls and unborn child
-Gabriel Fernandez (I could’ve even finish the documentary I was so upset)
-Travis Alexander, (watching Jodi Arias’ interrogation footage is truly shocking)
-Gypsy Rose
-Rachel Runyon
-Gene Thurnau (the letter his killer left behind truly chilled me)
-Jessica Lunsford, sooo sad
-James Byrd, Jr.
Unsolved cases that haunt me:
-Any/all of “Never Seen Again”, so many just don’t make sense and others I can’t believe they haven’t gotten someone locked up. In particular Terrence Williams and Felipe, Daniel Robinson, Ashley Lorring Heavyrunner, Kristen Galvan, Max Devries
-“Something’s Wrong With Aunt Diane”- it’s so heartbreaking. And confusing…
-Caylee Anthony, that sweet baby. No justice.
-Susan Cox Powell- utterly complex case, tragic in every way. Josh, his brother, and Steve Powell are sickening.
-Hinterkaifeck murders
-Stalkers that kill their victim are cases I find to be the most scary and disturbing to watch- I had two stalkers in my life so it’s close to home. It’s infuriating that police and justice system failed in so many ways to protect the victims.
That was a lot, but the more I wrote, the more I got burned up. I know there are so many more, but that’s what I thought of so far.

I believe it was racism and it burns my butt that he will never pay for his monstrous crimeI believe that police officer is 100% responsible for both their deaths, and I believe his motives were based on him being sexually attracted to them and also rooted in racism.
Law enforcement likes to say there is no perfect crime- oh yes, there are perfect crimes and this was one. This dirty filthy cop murdered these two men and did something with their cars that will ensure the men and their cars will never be found. It is horrid to even think of how they were murdered.I believe it was racism and it burns my butt that he will never pay for his monstrous crime
This case has stayed with me all these years-- it is so heartbreaking-- two innocent men just going about their business murdered by a racist cop who has eluded justice. It just makes me sick. I am glad some other people like yourself are looking at this case and cares about these two men who did not deserve this.Just had a quick look at the Williams and Santos cases. Incredible!! Will definitely try to watch the Docu and catch the Last Ride podcasts
There’s no connection between Elizabeth Short and the Cecil Hotel, though. But I agree - I’m obsessed with that story and it’s super-frustrating it’s never been solved, probably never will be.I think of her every time i see a docu on the Cecil Hotel. elizabeth used to frequent the hotel as said in docu's which makes me wonder if police ever tried to tie anything about it...as you say many things may never be concluded unfortunatelyThere’s no connection between Elizabeth Short and the Cecil Hotel, though. The other little girl playing with her friends in the apartment complex and just vanished. Soooo sad.
Not sure where you are based JudiK but this is in the news this Week here in the UK.It's crazy but three cases haunt me. Jon Benet, Maddie Mccann, and Sebastian Rogers.
Maddie and Sebastian just disappeared into thin air. No matter who is involved - where are they?? But so many cases, the little girl who was playing in a play ground and vanished-Dolce? The other little girl playing with her friends in the apartment complex and just vanished. Soooo sad.
The Dahlia-Cecil thing is a rumor that sounds cool but has no basis in fact. Someone thought they saw her in a bar next door, but that's about it.elizabeth used to frequent the hotel as said in docu's which makes me wonder if police ever tried to tie anything about it...as you say many things may never be concluded unfortunately
