What did the neighbor(s) hear?

Just a though I've had.. Maybe it was lindsey screaming when tommy/jo/misty end up at her mh at 2 something a.m? Maybe they all came in all blustery from the night activites, she woke up, they tell her what happened, she (being the only "good" one outta them), says "you have to call the police!" she dials, they hang it up on her(?) a little arguing ensues, yelling, screaming, misty cuts through the woods and gets back at the predestined time for ron to pull in and the game w/ LE begins.??

I suspect all the commotion going on around 2:00 am was Haleigh being removed from the area where the dumpster is located.. Dog barking, woman screaming..
If the woman heard Misty on the phone around 3:00 am do we know IF it was Timmy she was talking to at that time?
IIRC Chelsy stated they didn't receive a call until 4:00 in the morning...

Add screech owls to the list of animals that sound like screaming/crying.

Wouldn't folks who live in the area know the difference between human screaming and animal/bird sounds?

Not really. They sound very similar so does a peacock. It sounds just like someone screaming.

Maybe it was Misty screaming when they were removing Haleigh from her home.

IMO

LMBO.....My speakers were way up from the last vid I was watching and when I played this and it got to the peacock call my dog about jumped out of his fur!!

Yes, they do know the difference. A peacock does scream through the night during mating season but there is a very definite difference between the peacock scream and a human scream then add crying to it.......it wasn't a bird.

I remember an elderly lady that lived about a mile away from us when I was growing up and she had lots of peacocks.

One night the neighbors that lived around her heard what they thought was her peacocks "screaming." When she didn't come out to water and feed her cats in the morning they went to check on her and she had been murdered by an armed robber who had invaded her home. She was a widow.

IMO

I've thought from the beginning, that all of the commotion, was due to Haleigh being removed. I've also based my opinion of Misty not being the murderer, on the screaming & crying. If it were an accidental death, I could see this reaction, but not a cold blooded murder. & the fact that this bunch didn't break down & admit to an accident, makes me think they're hiding a murder. I always felt that Misty either woke up to a dead Haleigh, or came in from a night out, to find a dead Haleigh. Her saying, (@ one point), that she asked Ron if he had Haleigh, also made me think this. If Misty really was gone, as LE has said, I sure wish she'd admit to it. I've felt more than a little compassion, (probably too much), for her predicament, & have not wanted to find out that she's the cold blooded killer, that so many seem to think. In the jail tapes, she seems pretty confident that she'll be vindicated...but is that just fantasy on her part? How much good would that do her, if she's locked away on drug charges, for the rest of her life?

Sounds just like someone saying "help, help". Wow scary.

But, if a crime had just taken place and people were leaving the scene, don't you think they would be very quiet and trying not to make any noise? jmo
bbm
Not if they thought a criminally-inclined, drug-addicted, gun-owning father is going to return home at any minute. They would be moving as quickly as possible regardless of the noise.

I for one do not think or believe she is a cold hearted killer..Stooopid for going along with a cover up to protect Ronald Cummings, but not a killer..And If her neighbor heard her crying on the phone, I can believe it.. And I don't know who she was on the phone with either but it should have been LE telling them what really happened instead of plans to mislead LE...JMO

not necessarily...depends on how panicked they were, how desperate they were to get away, & how much under the influence they all were. What I find hard to believe is a raging, psycho killer didn't make enough noise to alert the neighbors, especially, if it happened earlier in the evening. That would probably include screaming from males, females, & children, & crying from @ least the children.I can't see that being quiet or subdued.

IIRC, I read somewhere that the neighbor couldn't make out what was being said, only that it was a woman screaming. At around that time I just don't think that someone was screaming Haleigh's name. I, too believe that it was either screams of horror, maybe someone arriving at the mh finding out that something had happened to Haleigh or a fight broke out, maybe a woman involved in a fight...
Or a woman screaming at a child.

Or a woman screaming at a child.
we don't have much to go on here, but screaming & screaming at, are 2 very different things. Even an involuntary listener, can usually tell the difference. Was there anger, fear, or horror in the screamer's voice? I think, but don't know for sure, that if there had been anger, the neighbor would've said so. That would've been too important to leave out.

Now IIRC someone who posted here at one time stated they heard a loud vehicle come into the neighborhood sometime between 1:20 - 1:30 am and,

the vehicle stopped at the dumpster (possibly white truck) which is located real close to where the Croslin's live on Tyler..

This person also stated the loud vehicle left the area around 2:00 am in the morning via Buffalo Bluff Road...JMO

Emeralgem, Was this the same dumpster the LE did not check for 17 days?

It seems with all the dogs barking, women screaming and vehicles speeding
in and out of the MH park, there has to be a connection to H.'s disappearance.

How could anyone in the park even been asleep with all this happening... All this happening on the same night is no coincidence, imo..

I suspect it was Misty that screamed at 2:30 am, as she was later seen crying on a PHONE, outside the MH @ 3:00 am.
This vehicle was said to have stopped at the dumpster, and someone said it was a white truck.
The vehicle headed via Buffalo Bluff Road. could that direction be a clue? was the convenience store in that direction?

There is a photo here of where the dumpster is located but I am not sure which poster posted it and where it is located at this time.

Here is a link for a transcript from GVS that night.

You will find the description of the location of the dumpster in that artcle. HTH.

My cats perked up their ears, too. If it had gone on longer, I'm afraid they would have panicked. The dog is currently in the garage with the kittens she's been nursing. No fooling!

Those noises are nothing like the screeches I let out when I see a bug or someone startles me from behind.
