The defense could be planning to pin Caylee's murder on someone else in Casey's family, possibly her father George.

Even the Anthonys' lawyer admits they're getting that indication.

Oh I don't think it's preposterous to thing the DT would DO that. I think it's preposterous to believe that GA or CA or LA murdered sweet Caylee.

I think the DT is going to say that it was an accident. Neither GA or ICA had a relialble job for years. I think GA and ICA had an agreement prior to Caylee's death that they would cover for each other so that CA would not realize that they both weren't always working. In other words, if GA lost his job he would be at home during the day and ICA and him would hang out with Caylee. GA is going to be embarassed that hiim and CA were hiding these facts from ICA. CA and GA had come up with the "nanny" so that if CA asked where Caylee was that they would say the nanny if she was with George or with ICA so that CA would not worry. This will show that they were both fearfull of CA's reaction to finding out the truth. ICA will use the excuse that since GA wasn't working a regular job that she was use to coming and going on a whim and GA watching Caylee. She is going to say that she thought he was watching her and he is going to say that she thought she left with CA. Then Caylee drowned and CA found her. She came up with the kidnapping story and used the nanny story that her and GA had concocted. Although I don't believe that GA knew about the drowning, I do believe that once she started using the nanny story that he knew that CA was really with her with it happened because he knew it wasn't him. At that point he knew that what started out as a small plot to keep work information from CA had turned into a huge lie that could come back to cause him all sorts of problems. ICA decided to come up with the kidnapping story and used the duct tape to create a kidnap story and assumed that because her dad had used the nanny story with her that he would be her backup as proof that there was a nanny. GA has been torn during this whole thing between the loss of his granddaughter, which he never thought would happen because of the nanny coverup. CA was so sure that there was a nanny because ICA and GA had used the name so many times when Caylee was not there. At the trial the truth will come out that CA and GA made up the nanny as a "family joke" and ICA and GA don't want CA to know the depth of lies that they had used. GA hasn't been at the hearings because he knows the truth and can see the bus coming. He loved ICA and Caylee and never thought that the little lie that they kept from CA would ever come to this. ICA is going to show that GA knew there was no nanny. That is why she wanted the privatte meeting with GA and why he wanted to see her so much. GA is afraid the whole truth will come out and CA will blame him as much for this as CA and then he will be own his own with no job and no CA to live off of. This is just MHO

I hope they play the video where CA is collapsing with grief and tells ICA that the rumor is Caylee drowned and ICA says "surprise surprise."

He was trying to trip ICA up by following her when she would leave the house and IIRC , it was CA that told GA to leave ICA to her. She would handle her. Great thoughts though.

As JG has much information into the mind of ICA, her actions speak louder than words could ever speak...in her lies therein lies some truth...she is a spiteful biatch for her mother made her that way...vengeance runs deep..it appears CA sabatoges ICA every which way she can...and still does even if she doesn't mean to...it's in her character...she did the same with TM and YM...no one messes with the Anthony family....:loser:

I believe CA created sibling rivalry attitude within ICA...CA minimized ICA's role as mother. It was CA who supported them all...particularly ICA and Caylee...I only wonder if CA ever told ICA, you only babysit Caylee..You are her daytime nanny for you leave her with me at nights...while she pretends to work (CA knew she didn't work) but never truly confronted her or asked about her paychecks...I believe she created the monster within ICA and now it's too late to undo any of it...dominating, controlling, demeaning, condescending...all negatives when you have a child (ICA) who has mental problems to begin with...I truly believe ICA should have gone with the diminished capacity defense...coming out now that it was an accident doesn't fit the evidence...JMHO

I asked that on the lawyer thread; to me it sounded like a fatal slip also, not only does he NOT state it was an accident he confirms the date of the crime too! AZ thought he was stating it that way because the SA alleges a crime was committed.
If I had an accident or was defending someone who had an accident with a child it would not occur to me to call it a crime, regardless of what the SA alleged.

ITA. In the FBI interview it's clear CA never wanted her kids to grow up and leave home. They were "smart" or "gifted" but never encouraged to go away to college. I absolutely think CA manipulated ICA into breaking up with JG as well...I have always thought that.

Looks like the DT is taking a page from Thomas Capano, charged with (and convicted of) the murder of Anne Marie Fahey. A very circumstantial case, her body was never found. All evidence pointed to him but on the stand he blamed his other mistress.

While I do like the theories y'all are coming up with, the "accident" theory will never work. Casey isn't gonna testify, and so the fact remains, her nanny story is her words. The DT can't testify for her. They have some awful high hurdles to jump, and I can't wait to see how high they leap. Trial can't come soon enough for me.

When I read (in the link above) that CM described ICA as far more emotional than people see, but that jail has toughened her up, my first thought was wow, it must not have taken her very long to toughen up by listening to her first phone call home from jail. Also, she sure doesn't sound to me like she much afraid of CA in this phone call either.

When I think of an "accident defense" then I ask why would ICA have deleted photos of Caylee from her photobucket acc on the same day? What Mom would do this? I believe after she did what she did to Caylee her last dig to her mother was to delete Caylees photos. They were deleted on June 16th. Remember "what is given can be taken away" by ICA.

I don't know. Can't the DT say everything is consistent with an accident?? Or, can't they point the finger at GA without KC testifying?
