White Truck Focus and second person in truck.

I'm just not getting this. TWO months later, and they're asking for people to remember details during a 30 minute time frame. Gates' comment that he remembers everything he did on June 4th? Well, yeah. He was involved in this case. He's going to remember. I wonder how well he remembers everything he did and saw prior to the call that afternoon? How detailed and specific is his memory for any given 30 minute block of time that morning? Or the day before? And they aren't asking for people to recreate their own movements at that time, but to recall other's presence, movements, etc.

At the time these parents / staff / visitors were in the lot, there was no hint anything was wrong. Chaotic, exciting morning. Parents and visitors at that time would have been focused on their own child's projects, perhaps rushing in so they could view exhibits and then get to work on time. No one was focused on Terri's truck or watching for suspicious activity. No reason to.

Even witness statements made on Sunday just two DAYS later could have been flawed. Now they expect people to recall such detail and btw make it specific to a 30 minute window of time? After two MONTHS? Are they kidding me ????

So in terms of direction...the end of the school where Kyrons classroom is would be the North....the large parking lot the south...the back of the school the east and skyline dr. on the west?

If he was last seen near the south door, then TH sneaking him down to the path by the soccer field and to the access road wouldn't jive.

  • #463
I agree with all of this except someone seeing him exit. I think they're choosing that particular area by process of elimination. It's that entrance or nothing, IMHO, in terms of Kyron being able to be removed or voluntarily exiting unseen.

I think you're right. From the first time someone posted those aerial shots of the school, it was pretty obvious the side entrance next to Kyron's classroom and leading out to the field (and that access road) was where he would have left the school (or have been taken out).

I'm beginning to wonder, regarding the two different parking spots depicted by the photos.

IMO, the one on Skyline, in front of the school is where Terri said she parked.

The one on the access road is where LE believes she must have parked in order to get Kyron out of the school and away without being seen.

And not only that, but they've essentially asked these questions before (re: the truck at the school).

The first questionnaire was very detailed about if anyone saw Terri or the truck that morning. The questionnnaire didn't limit the responses, e.g. the truck wasn't on the access road, so don't respond if you saw a white truck over there!

Kyron was missing. People knew it. They'd already been interviewed, and with the first questionnaire, the community knew LE's focus was on Terri. If someone had seen Terri dragging Kyron's unconscious body out of the school, or a maintenance worker was seen helping load a storage bin into the bed of a white truck, or if Terri had been parking and reparking in the lot that day, someone would've reported it on the first questionnaire, right?

Also, I thought it was interesting that the community was asked to report if a person was around the truck OR in the truck. Well, if someone else parked beside Terri, of course other people were around her truck.

I'm becoming more and more convinced LE has nothing. They're trying to pound a square peg into a round hole and it's just not working.

I believe someone has over a 2 month head start.

Good post.

Also, Gates is a well-trained observer. Cops have a tendency to watch and note everything, even off-duty. That's why the expression "cop eyes" is so true not only in how their eyes look sometimes, but how they are always aware.

I agree, they could have been at this point earlier. But they were focused on investigating and proving "evil stepmother offs kid", and I also agree with those who think that attitude was fueled not only by stereotypes (stepmother, last person to see victim is the perp), but by DY (a lot via TY, too, using his status) and KH.

Gates did a good job. He's got a knack for it.

As far as white truck & someone inside--I don't yet want to type out my scenerios, still meditating. But if that truck was unlocked, my $ is on the perp, someone who's yet unknown. Yes, I'm still considering a pedophile.

As for anyone in the vicinity of the truck--weren't there like 300 people or so at that science fair? A lot of to'ing and fro'ing. I get what they're trying to say, but I think it was a little clunkily said.+

I'm also not concerned about where TH parked at the store. That photo shows a parking lot with a lot of empty spaces up front. There are times around here that you can't find a parking space close, and it's not always just right after work, either. And even if she chose to park further out, as others have noted, there could be many reasons. Now, if she'd pulled into a far, far corner overshadowed by trees and covered the truck up with its car cover, that would have been different. Ahem.

I really want to know if that truck was left locked or unlocked. That's key, pardon the pun.

And, remember Kyron's friend who said he saw Kyron after TH left, and was, IMHO, kinda blown off? Isn't he the one that said he saw "the white truck"? At the time, I thought that phrasing was very strange.

He didn't say he saw "Mrs. Horman's truck," "Kyron's mom's truck", "kyron's truck", etc. Nope. He said he saw "THE white truck." Did he see or unconsciously notice something that was different or weird but couldn't quite articulate it (AKA put his finger on it in a kid kind of way, not expressing self well tonight, arrrgh).

The longer this goes on, the more pieces are mounting up that to me indicate a pedophile.

And, truthfully, I don't see TH, DD, or her cadre of friends really capable of planning and staging an almost "to the minute" Mission Impossible/James Bond plot. As I'd theorized before, I could see one scenario where TH accidentally hits Kyron with the truck when he runs back out as she's gunning it, he's killed, she's been drinking, and panics. Slim chance, but that's one scenario. Then calls DD to help. But is a cop's daughter dumb enough to then start helping with toting and burying a kid's body? I doubt it.

Sorry if I lumped a lot together. Feeling wretched, 104 actual today, has flared my rheumatoid arthritis. Blech.

Today my cleaner/personal assistant was here, just as the presser started. AFterward I told her the whole long story. She was flabbergasted. And now and then she'd interrupt and say "but what about the KID?" Or "9 weeks and they don't know anything?"

What about the kid? Indeed, I said. That's the essential thing in the midst of all this soap opera. (For the record, she only heard one thing that made her ponder about TH and her account. And she's a sharp cookie, let me tell you! So she's on the fence too. LOL)

Or maybe Teri was parked in "spot A". then her truck was moved and someone else pulled into "spot A" before 8:45. Another way to prove the truck was moved to another parking space.

That makes sense.

Does seem a little ridiculous. They have to be trying to corroborate other people's claims of seeing the truck. I surmise they have people claiming to have seen the truck parked in both areas they asked about. Of course it probably wasn't. And they probably have someone claiming they saw another person in or around the truck. So now they have to find out whether the info they have is credible by seeing if anyone else comes forward with the same info. While it was good info for us to discuss I doubt the DA did himself any favors by confirming they had someone saying they saw someone in/around the truck. The power of suggestion is powerful, and they will probably now have people claiming to have seen someone suspicious around the truck in both places whether it is true or not.

Maybe they lost or misplaced the first questionaires.

Normally I say 'not likely'.

In this case? Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I never locked my car, but when I got a different job this year that involved driving, and I had to keep records in my car, I started locking it.

I have a stripped down car that I ordered nine years ago with no automatic locking doors. I wanted that.

But don't most cars automatically lock nowadays? I would think living in Portland it would be a habit. I lock mine a lot now out of a few months of habit.

IMHOO LE has tons of stuff. They just need a little bit more... or rather the DA does. Member what HE DOES? Yeah... prosecutes cases for the State.

I am confident in every fiber of my bones that they have a lot of what they need to prosecute this but could use a little icing on the cake if you have it.

I think LE is doing a great job in concert with the multiple agencies that are working with them. I applaud them and I thank them for their oftentimes thankless jobs.

I may be in the minority in what I just said.... but I have no problems with that because I believe what I said fully. And I also fully believe that this will be solved eventually by these same people I afore mentioned.

My car is a 2009 model and it locks when I start driving above 10-15 miles. But it does not lock automatically when I get out of the car, I have to lock it myself by the button on the door or the lock button on the key fob.

I think this is what was being referred to:
THE FOURTH FOCUS SEEKS THE IDENTITY OF A WITNESS WHO PARKED THEIR VEHICLE ON JUNE 4 BEFORE 8:45 AM ON JUNE 4TH IN THE SKYLINE SCHOOL PARKING LOT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE LOT

Ah! Good, thank you. The remainder of that statement says:

"...(SEE PHOTO ON FOLLOWING PAGE)—IF YOU PARKED YOUR VEHICLE IN THAT DESCRIBED AREA PLEASE CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, THE YEAR, MAKE & MODEL, COLOR, AND LICENSE PLATE NUMBER OF THE VEHICLE PARKED IN THE SCHOOL LOT."

It is oddly worded. They could be asking for the driver of that particular vehicle to come forward, or they may be asking for anyone else who saw a vehicle parked there to identify what type of car they saw. And the staged photo shows a car parked in what looks like an end spot near the road. Are you all thinking they want to identify the car that was parked in that spot?
