“This is going to be up to the district attorney to look at DeDe Spicher and figure out what her criminal culpability is in this whole affair and decide, is she worth giving up in order to get someone else?” McCain said.

By giving up, McCain means forcing Spicher to testify and give up her right to silence. So far she has not given one word of testimony to the grand jury investigating Kyron’s disappearance.

“DeDe Spicher will not testify before the grand jury now without a grant of immunity from the lead prosecutor,” McCain said. “That’s becoming more and more clear as each day goes by.”
If Spicher is forced to testify to the grand jury she will be granted immunity.

Might not be to good of a job if they are thinking of giving dede immunity.

How F'D up would it be if the KEY to this, mystery had nothing to do with all the crazy crap we are hearing....

It seems to me that if I was LE and a child disappeared out of a school, about the first thing I'd do is track down anyone/everyone who'd been there (or in the parking lot) that day.

Remember a white truck two months later? The only way I'd remember a white truck two months later was if it ran over my foot!:banghead:

Yeah, and wouldn't they be embarrassed if they did grant Dede immunity, and found out that her and TH were doing something else illegal that morning (trying to find someone to kill Kaine, driving drunk, etc) and that they had nothing to do with Kyron's disappearance after all?

It really wouldn't shock me if they were sneaking around doing something that didn't relate to Kryon at all.

I still don't think they hurt him. Snatched, maybe, maybe not - harmed, no.

After viewing the various flyers, pics and so forth something is odd to me. I do not see any reference on any of these to the baby? Have they ever asked something like - "Did you see any of these adults or this vehicle with a __mo. old child?" If not, does that mean she was somewhere else and they already know that? Seems to me I might not pick out the adult unless they were doing something of note, but maybe more apt to recall 1 or 2 with toddler in tow.

FWIW - I didn't think I would remember squat about parking or vehicles from an event 2 months gone. After choosing a random event almost 4 months ago, it turns out I do! - where we parked, who and what vehicle parked next to us, who was walking nearby, what we all wore, who was near to us inside, and other meaningless bits. I was dumbfounded. Then thought - now if 1 kid went missing that night I'd probably remember a whole lot more as it would've burned the whole time period into memory.

So anyone who doesn't pay atttention to the news is going to be thought guilty because they didn't know they were supposed to come forward?

LOL this comment is funny. Yup, and anyone with a white truck in the vicinity and doesn't pay attention to the news - or maybe someone who traveled to the expo! moo

I was at a pretty big event about 2 weeks ago. I've been trying to remember what cars were next to mine in the parking lot. I **think** one was maroon, but I'm not sure. And I have no recollection of any other cars. I do remember how far it was to walk in (but that's because I have a broken ankle at the moment...), and asking for an electric car ride back later, but for the life of me, I can't remember what cars were parked along side me...except for that maybe one of them was maroon.

And this was two weeks ago.

I can't imagine how anyone is going to remember something 2 months ago...

I honestly believe that LE has little or nothing at this point, and this is a grasping for straws. Which saddens me greatly, because it means that someone is getting away with it (my $$ is a SO...registered or not).

And even if this isn't grasping at straws, it's most certainly not going to seem good to a jury, if one is ever convened. A decent - not even good, but just decent - defense attorney will be able to demolish this...in so many ways.

Sigh. Exorcist head anyone??

Well, I know before they grant her immunity, they have to know what she knows and will tell them, so this is like a gift, no? I mean if she doesn't come through with the goods, they'll rescind it.

Does seem a little ridiculous. They have to be trying to corroborate other people's claims of seeing the truck. I surmise they have people claiming to have seen the truck parked in both areas they asked about. Of course it probably wasn't. And they probably have someone claiming they saw another person in or around the truck. So now they have to find out whether the info they have is credible by seeing if anyone else comes forward with the same info. While it was good info for us to discuss I doubt the DA did himself any favors by confirming they had someone saying they saw someone in/around the truck. The power of suggestion is powerful, and they will probably now have people claiming to have seen someone suspicious around the truck in both places whether it is true or not.

But they are being proactive and trying-----because if they don't try, where are they? What may seem ridiculous to us will fill in some holes for them. Granted, they have people embellishing on what they saw, which is why Gates worded his statement so carefully about witnesses stepping forward and only telling what they saw---not what they think they saw or what it might mean. (Not verbatim).

It seems so ridiculous that I think that they know more than they are saying. I hope so.

I think they do know pretty much where every car was parked.

maybe some of TH's associates( supporters), from the school did not

turn in the first questionaire, and this is LE's way of putting pressure

on them.

2 am again? thanks for the heads up emma peel.

Except when something traumatic happens things can cement into place in your mind...
How many people remember where they were when JFK was killed? My mom was on the couch 7 mos pregnant with me.
What were you doing when 9/11 happened? I was asleep on the west coast and woke up to find a good friend at my house frantic with grief. I was wearing a pink pj top and floral jammie bottoms. We drank coffee with cream and I cried for hours solid. My boys never got dressed that day either and we all stayed home from school and work...
So maybe...because it was such a high profile thing, the people at a tiny school like Skyline CAN remember...and maybe those nearly empty Fred Meyer parking lots DID have someone in who saw something...

JMO :)

I don't know, I really think they are trying to identify who was parked to NEXT to the Horman truck. I think a witness saw a car parked there, and I think no one has come forward as yet to say it was their car. Hmmmm?

I sure hope they or anyone else hasn't hurt him and that he's still alive. But even snatching him, for this amount of time, is unforgiveable----and I think a hefty prison sentence for both (also something I'm hoping, if they're guilty)!!

And so while they're out sneaking around doing something that didn't relate to Kyron----where's Kyron?? That's just too much of a coincidence.

What about those who had a white truck at the Expo and sold it. Maybe someone borrowed one. Often people who commit crimes change their daily habits, take on a different routine, sell their car, get a new cell phone. How on earth will these people be reached. Hope they've contacted all rental facilities to make sure no white trucks were rented.

These white trucks are taking on the same importance as the blue barrels in the Drew Peterson case. I'm glad I don't live in Oregon - I'd be looking at them all. moo

Just my opinion, from what I've read I think DDS is probably a witness "after the fact."
She's reportedly missing from her job around 10am (although, at first they thought 11:15am.) If there's another person in or around that truck around the time he went missing, it wasn't likely DDS. But, if there's another person there at the scene at the time Kyron went missing, why would she even need to call on DDS? She would already have the help she needs.
I hope he's being "stashed" alive somewhere, but for some reason, I kind of doubt it.
Not many people would get involved in this mess, or stay involved after all this time.
Also, when LE was searching last weekend, they used tracking dogs. I've never heard of LE using tracking dogs to look for cell phone, or any other evidence, unless it was clothing, or a person.
I'm not sure if she acted with someone initially or not. I do think she's had help after the fact, though.
Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but I see people asking about who else own's a white Ford truck like Kaine's.. I also know that this has been in other threads too... I wonder if LE, especially FBI, have checked with car rental places through-out the U.S. to see who has rental that type of vehicle on or around June 4th....Just a thought... :)

P.S. Being the CSI fan she is... What better than alot of confusion of sightings about the vehicle she was driving and another red-head to boot.. again...just thinking... :)

Heather, yes, I agree.

But I think the difference here is that 9/11 and JFK were immediate, televised around the world, and people were talking right away. I went to work the morning of 9/11, but can't remember who I parked next to - although, I do recall my manager's suit color. We all came home close to immediately...

These were shocking, immediate things, both which were threats to our own lives and safety. Kyron was missing for hours before it was even known he was missing...it was not immediate, nor was it widely shocking, and it wasn't a threat to ourselves. I hate to say it like that, but the only threat that morning was to Kyron...and it wasn't even known until much later.

Further, how many people remember which car they parked next to later on the same day, let alone months later? I went to the barn this morning, and on my way, I stopped for some watermelon (for my horse) and a Starbucks (for me...although he'd love one if I gave it to him...LOL). I've been sitting here, trying to remember what car was next to me at the market.

And I just can't. Not really. I do remember a CHiPs car at the Western Bagle, but other than that, nope...just that there were cars. Because nothing occurred right then to make me think "wow, I better look around."

I just don't think it's a valuable piece of information now. It may have been the day or day after, but now? No...too much time for people to rememer, forget, remember what they want to remember, and confabulate hoping to help the investigation. And like I said, a decent defense lawyer would rip this apart in moments...

Just my moooooooooooooo.....mooooooooooooo....moooooooooo ing all day long...LOL.
