I think we are fast approaching Doyle territory, "“When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”

I think LE just cannot wrap their minds around the improbable, IMHO.

To me it is impossible that anyone involved would still be clueless enough to think they were "doing the right thing" if that was ever the inducement. Beyond comprehension that this could be the case. I honestly have a hard time with this being a group activity.

They might not if they truly believed that what they were doing was in the best interest of the child. I find that easier to believe than that three people involved in a child's murder. (Off hand, the only cases I can think of with that many people involved in a murder were either gang or cult related - which wouldn't appear to be the case here.)

I could see Terri recruiting maybe "one" person to assist her in a premeditated act, clean up, etc. but, beyond that...I don't see it.

Are we supposed to believe the suburban housewife had a veritable Breakfast Club of people willing to involve themselves in a felonious act on a child of a Friday morning? It is too outlandish for me.

I am scared if LE has no idea who this person is they think they are looking for, after all this time. They should know every single person Terri has had in her life in any way, for the past year or two at least, with the FBI in on the act, etc...The FBI can usually figure out who terrorists are talking to and meeting with secretly, but not Terri Horman?

And, let's not forget, the batphone plan wasn't exactly a success.

One of my problems with "Terri did it!" has always been that she's required to be both ends of the spectrum at the exact time -- meticulously planning and carrying out this abduction and possibly murder, leaving behind no evidence or trail that ties her to the crime or crimes, but completely inept in everything that followed.

How many times can LE prod the public's memory without it becoming a little bit ridiculous? Sooner or later, some clown out there will hit on the right description that LE seems to be looking for, just by process of elimination. Seems like the defense at a trial would have a good time with all of this.

lol I bet you are right!

Unless the bat phones were a red herring that LE was supposed to find. One would think that if this WAS planned in advance, she would have bought phones in advance - maybe the 2nd set that the friends bought were supposed to be "caught," knowing the police would keep looking until they found SOMETHING - but LE still doesn't have the "real" secret phones.

Honestly, I'm just waiting for the big AHA! moment to be that DS was sexting Michael Cook, thus confirming that DS did pose for TH, but not in the way anyone hypothesized.

Cypress – You’ve put your finger on the problem I have with the “Terri plus accomplice” scenario. When the murder for hire and sexting with the landscaper surfaced, I thought the case would crack wide open in brief amount of time. Terri left a trail the width of I-5 that led straight to her door. They found the landscaper’s number in her phone record. When a husband is murdered - and the wife has an alibi - the next place LE looks is at her contacts and associates.

LE is up against a brick wall if Jason’s suggestion that they search the property of DeDe’s aunt is among the most promising of the 4,000 tips they have. It would require untraceable communication and split second timing for Terri and an accomplice to executed the kidnapping and “disposal” of Kyron, and leave no solid evidence behind. I don’t believe that Terri has the brains, balls or discipline to pull of a Ted Bundy style kidnapping.

I agree, and I will add a most unpopular opinion, that despite her imperfections, bad choices, vices, and whatever else may be plaguing her, I believe she loves Kyron.

I know this belongs on the theory thread but I think this will turn out to be much simpler, albeit tragic; either a morning gone horribly, hideously wrong w/Terri or a predator "doing his thing" on a hectic morning, in and out without raising an eyebrow. No grand schemes, hence no slick cover-up or alibi, just Keystone-type antics from Terri nd friends.

ITA...

In some ways, if it's a predator, it's a lot simpler, IMHO.

I don't know if this has been posted already but...

"Investigators have learned they have reason to believe it was not DeDe Spicher, the friend of Kyron Horman’s stepmother Terri Moulton Horman, who was seen in a truck the morning Kyron disappeared, according to sources."

If LE doesn't think Dede was in or around the truck at Skyline that morning, but felt strong enough about her presence in or around the truck sometime that day to distribute questionnaires about her to the community, does that now mean LE believes three people are involved in Kyron's disappearance?

Holy frijoles.

So now we're up to three.

How long before we're at four, five, a dozen.

Good grief.

This truly shows how little LE knows...

ETA: not a poet! ;)

Exactly.

More people involved is less believable, for one thing. Two? Maaaybe. Three? Now we're getting into the ridiculous.

And with every person added to this scenario, the chance that one will tip their hand grows exponentially.

Bingo.

Diabolically planned in my opinion. Starting with The Science Fair. One day the school would be full of adults that wouldn't raise suspicion. Probably a bit loud and chaotic. Perfect for .......

Dear God I hope Kyron is OK.

Wonder if truck guy looks like Dede's FBF.

Wonder if Dede gave Terri her child advocate FBF's phone number so he could advise Terri on 50 ways to leave her lover ... and keep Kyron.

This is getting ridiculous. We're going to find that the Ocean's Eleven did it. No, scratch that, the Ocean's Twelve. Thirteen. Fourteen.... Unless it's the Seven Dwarves?
How is Terri or anybody going to get a posse involved with helping to hide a little boy?

Maybe they all just saw the Turf Technician and the truck has nothing to do with any of it.
