White Truck Focus and second person in truck.

I seen 3.
Makes sense to me.

More seriously, Dede could be the unwitting/common connection to the third party in the truck.

Work out from Terri's circle. Find Dede. Work out from Dede's circle, find 3rd party. Hopefully, in working out from the 3rd party, find Kyron. :praying:

Maybe the reporter just made a grammatical error, or a just plain sloppy reporting error. After all, the reporter wrote that the person was "in the truck", and that's not what LE said.

So maybe the reporter was just as sloppy with saying "third person". Maybe since this reporter is reporting that sources say that LE says that it's not Dede, that it's a third person. Not three people, but a third person, in a sloppy way, meaning actually a different second person, other than Dede.

If this reporter is so uncaring, or has such poor writing skills, that they can't accurately report LE's simple "in or near the truck", why would they be any more careful in accurately conveying whether it's a second person or a third person?

This is getting ridiculous. We're going to find that the Ocean's Eleven did it. No, scratch that, the Ocean's Twelve. Thirteen. Fourteen.... Unless it's the Seven Dwarves?
How is Terri or anybody going to get a posse involved with helping to hide a little boy?

Maybe they all just saw the Turf Technician and the truck has nothing to do with any of it.

LE could well believe the witness or witnesses saw the Turf Tech, and are trying to rule out. That's what LE does - rule in, rule out. They may be pretty sure they have an unreliable witness, or a reliable witness with unreliable testimony about a person in or near the truck.

What do they do? They can't just ignore the witness's testimony. No matter what it takes, they have to either confirm it, or rule it out. It just may be that, as unfortunate it was to have to go public with it and cause confusion to the public, as expensive as it may have been, this may be their only choice to either confirm it or rule it out.

They *can't* tell the public if that's what they're trying to do, or they run the risk of just getting more bad witnesses, or nobody at all who can help them confirm or rule out.

A thread was started last night for that article, and that thread was merged with the White Truck thread, so there's already existing discussion about it you might want to check out here:

That means possibly three people involved ..wasnt there three bat phones purchased ...and arent they looking for one of the bat phones ...seems like they are looking for another person now also.

It seems to me the person by the truck must be female. Otherwise, it would not have taken LE this long to almost rule DeDe out.

My recollection is that the phone were purchased later.I haven't heard other than rumor that any are missing. Maybe we need a fact or fiction thread, so these rumors aren't elaborated on and made part of the story?

Kyron went missing on Friday, June 4. The phones weren't purchased until more than 3 weeks later.

The phones were purchased after Kyron's father, Kaine Horman, moved out of the family's home.

Kaine moved out Saturday, June 26.

I'm thinking Murder on the Orient Express . . .

OT: While it's probably not as well-known as the movie you mention, the litany of suspects reminds me of The Last of Shiela (early '70s). jmo

I guess it's possible they ruled DeDe out by determining where she was that morning, not by finding a witness who was at the school and said it wasn't her. If that's the case then it would tell them nothing more about who may have been in/near the truck.

Another rumor courtesy of Bruce McCain who has nothing to do with the investigation.

"It looks like Dede's opening up," attorney Bruce McCain, a former captain of the Multnomah County, Oregon Sheriff's Dept., told "Early Show" co-anchor Monday. " ... This is not a search-and-rescue. This is a forensic search for criminal evidence, more than likely, something very specific that Dede told them about. It could even very well be one of these untraceable cell phones."

Do we have a confirmed date that the Dede flier was distributed? I have August 9 stuck in my head, but I'll be darned if I can find where I got that from. The first news stories I can find are Aug 10, and they refer to the flier having been already distributed (past tense).

TIA
