ajt, I didn't see that one, but I saw Whitney in an exclusive not all that long ago. You're so right about the users most likely going back. For Whitney, I think she knows better, just can't do better, due to her drugs. So sad, but yes, the kiddies need to go to somebody who loves them and doesn't use. Nice to see you here, you old 23 year old, BTW. :-)

I can feel my bones creaking as I type!

Anyway, I could never even imagine someone beating on me! There would be a fresh can of whoop-a$$ to open up! I was raised as a redneck....you just don't do that! ANy man that beats on a woman is really half a man anyway.

Yes, her children need to be gone. It is definettely not healthy to let them see her use, or to let them see him hit her.

Not sure how old the children are, but they are now well on the way to become men who beat their wives, women who marry men who beat their wives, and drug abusers themselves.

It's very true, money and fame do not buy happiness.

Doesn't she only have one child? Bobbi I think her name is.

Some people are just glutton for punishement, I guess.

Jeez...they are a band that I love but expect NOBODY else to have heard of!!......They do rank up at no 1 in my list...and their politics are absolutely 'closer to fine'!!!!

They were great, in the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh, probably 1000 seats max...it is such an intimate venue. Also saw Courtney Pine there. Even if you don't like jazz you absolutely HAVE to appreciate one guy playing the saxophone beautifully for 20 minutes (talking physical effort here...and three changes of reed!)

Anyway, I love the Queen's Hall, it is a fabulous venue.

I must extoll the virtues of Kirsty McColl, I don't know if you download music, or 'share' it as I do, but I think if you like the Indigo Girls you should look up Kirsty (great female vocalist, tragic story). [/B][/QUOTE]

Thank you for the suggestion! I am always looking for new artists/music!

Have you heard of Deb Talan? I was flipping through channels on tv one night and caught the credits at an end of a movie that I didn't watch....a song called "Forgiven" was playing...it was beautiful! I saw that it was sang by an unknow artist to me...looked her up and blindly bought the cd...it is one of my new favorites! If you like the Indigo Girls...I think you would like Deb Talan's-Something Burning CD! EVERY song on that cd is great! It has a lot of acoustical guitar and she has a really awesome voice! Let me know if you get it..I would love to hear if you like it too!

Again, thanks for the Kristy Mc Coll suggestion! I will check her out!

She does seem very ungrateful - a real prima donna.

It's rare to actually find good singer songwriters anymore.....I love music that makes me think!

  • #32
That might have to do with the times, which could include that almighty dollar. Dunno.

Yup....Hey Imon, where is the thread that was talking about the Lisa Steinberg murder in '87? I can't remember?

  • #34
I think it was by Candy, perhaps in the JB Forum, I'll help yah hunt. :-)

Thanks!!

Okay, ajt, try the thread in the JB Forum started by Barbara called Darney Hoffman Does It Again. Could this be it? Let me know if you need a link to it, okay?

MrsMush:

You are right. They only have one child together. He has one (maybe 2) from different women. Don't know who they live with.

DId the other kids come along before or after Whitney and Bobby were married. It seems that she is just on a natural course to self-destruction!
