Who do you think the Zodiac Killer actually is?

Arthur Leigh Allen seems to fit the description. "The sketch of the man seen at Lake Berryessa before the attack on September 27, 1969, depicted a Caucasian male adult with a round face and dark hair. The girls who helped to produce this sketch described this man to investigators as a white male, between 28-30 years of age, with dark hair that was parted on the left side, at least six feet tall, stocky build, approx. 200 to 225 lbs., with a round face, rounded eyes, thin lips, a medium nose, straight eyebrows and small ears." Zodiac Killer FACTS - The EYEWITNESS DESCRIPTIONS and/or IDENTIFICATIONS

It's the small ears part that most makes me go with Allen. I have not see the Netflix documentary.

A group called The Casebreakers claim he's Gary Francis Poste but this was said by Journalist Colbert, who has said a Bureau whistleblower confirmed to him the chief suspect was Air Force veteran Gary Francis Poste but I have read also the FBI has not said.

Gary Francis Poste's ears are not small, in fact they are large, which makes me consider more towards Allen. Allen's ears in different photos really do not look too small but that big face of his may be the reason the witness felt they were.
When in doubt.. go with Occam's Razor.

It is interesting that someone believes there were four Zodiac's working together. Because that is how many my suspect told me there were! I have seen two of them together, stalking me. One was older and larger than the other. One had a shaved head and wore wigs, the other had brown curly hair worn in a pompadour, as Mike Mageau described. He has a lazy right eye, and his face and mouth are slightly paralyzed. That is why his voice is very odd. Both are still alive!

Curious what Zodiac experts think of this angle. I haven't studied this case much so am a deer in headlights lol...but I am wondering if this idea can be ruled out or if possible.
It's definitely interesting that this was Elizabeth Short's actual boyfriend, and that he had all this surgical experience.

The thing about his interests in Oceanside is very interesting because an early murder in which Zodiac is suspected is the murder of cab driver Ray Davis, who was found murdered in the St. Malo Beach area of Oceanside in 1962, and there was a bus threat in Oceanside in 1962. But jmo, this Margolis was not a CA native, and I think with the various locations Zodiac chose, again jmo Zodiac was (likely) born and (definitely) raised in California. The bayonet they mention with Margolis-- it's interesting, but he's definitely not the only suspect brought forward with a knife/weapon that could be indicative of Zodiac, either because of the blade or because of some symbol on the weapon. The cipher-- also interesting, but other names have been given when those ciphers are approached by other researchers.

Not being flippant when I say this, but I'd almost be looking for someone a little along the lines of a Forrest Gump-like character who just turns up everywhere, in Gump's case, he's in so many places that matter in contemporary American history. So looking for Zodiac, would be looking for someone that is everywhere he "would be" if he were Zodiac, and is into everything he "would be" into were he Zodiac He knows Vallejo. He knows Lake Berryessa. Bay area. Napa. If you think he killed Ray Davis, he knows Oceanside. (And also has some fascination with cab drivers because he definitely murdered cabbie Paul Stine years later.) If you think he killed Cheri Bates, he knows Riverside. If you think he murdered Donna Lass, he knows Tahoe area. If you think he's involved with Judith Hakari's murder and the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders, he knows-- other murderers, and works with them occasionally. Knows guns, knows knives, according to himself also fire and rope. Into medieval costumes. Knows Mikado. Putting two and two together with Mikado and the heavy concentration of Japanese immigration to California, I'd assume he's a lifelong citizen of CA with some extensive interactions with Japanese culture. Is aware of ciphers. Can put together relatively complex designs. Knows certain area newspapers. Knows tricks with airplane glue to attempt to hide fingerprints. Certainly enjoys playing twisted perverse jester and isn't afraid of attention, so long as he remains anonymous.

For that very reason with anonymity, I don't think someone like Margolis is him. Zodiac jmo truly led a double life, there was a complete schism. There's too much on the surface with Margolis for him to risk such "flamboyance" of the Zodiac strain, but again all jmo. Zodiac does what not many murderers do: he publicizes his own murders. So he was meticulous about protecting the alternative reality behind his "pseudonym."
