Why Have George and Cindy Requested a Video Visitation With Casey?

WFTV reported on the 6pm news that in their motion the Anthony's are "DEMANDING" that non-videoed visits be allowed "before, during and after the trial". Bill Shaeffer says it probably won't happen.

I'm wondering if the DT haven't clued in the A's of the possible guilty conviction and maybe the DP could happen and the A's want to plead w/ her to confess and take a plea. Considering CA's behavior and demeanor this weeks something is sure eatin' at her.

rbbm:

I would like to personally DEMAND the Anthony's tell the truth. Truth that LE, the FBI, and the SAO can verify and be satified with. This is my DEMAND to the Anthonys ... Enough said.

I guess they're pretty sure she'll be found guilty of something if they want to be able to visit her in jail AFTER the trial.

I was wondering if anyone knows why, in Lippman's motion for private video visits for his clients, he states when listing dates of jail visitations released to the media so far:

"e. January 16, 2009 between defendant Casey Anthony and George and Cindy Anthony jail house tape visit released to the media"

???

Does anyone else remember this visit? Even the media (which I know is not always reliable) states the last visit between them was August 14, 2008, and that is what I remember, as well.

Can anyone enlighten me further? TIA

 The supposed "missing" video shows a release date of January 2009!

Nope, can't find one from 1/16/09.

The only jail visit references to that date that I find are:

Thanks SOTS, but that is not the way Lippman's motion reads- take a look- it does not say the date(s) video's were released- it states the dates of the visits taped by the jail... strange.

Otherwise it is a sloppy job on Lippman's part?

Something just came to me ~

Regarding George reporting his gas cans stolen:

When he got them from Casey, was the duct tape on the cans???

If part of a plan, and the tape was missing, "they" could say or explain that the tape used on Caylee was from the gas cans.

Sorry, - watching HLN and they just showed a big calender of their timeline, with the date of the 23rd being circled in red, and in large letters, "GAS CANS??"

My mind is just whipping right now.

I have always believed that the Anthony's knew from the get-go what happened, put their heads together to come up with a plan of a kidnapping, but that Casey got to busy "getting busy" and things fell apart.

As far as the accident that is being leaked out - I've also always felt that there was a fight on Father's Day, that Casey stormed out and left Caylee.
Her parents thought that Casey had Caylee, and Casey knowingly left Caylee behind.
Caylee did get in that pool without anyone knowing, and the flurry of phone calls was Casey finding her in the pool.

The Anthony's would have been responsible; Casey could show that she was at Tony's, and the grandparents had Caylee.
Cindy is/was the main breadwinner in that family, and she is the only one that stood to loose anything, her means of making a living.

Oh well - not meaning to derail things....but that's always been in the back of my mind.
Cindy is the one that had the plan, and Casey got distracted. When the car got towed, and it stunk so badly, they thought they were left with no alternative but to call it in, since they thought the tow yard would?

Sorry to go off topic.

I think a pool accident could have happened. It happens all too frequently. But I would think that if it had been a pool accident while Casey was gone, GA and CA would have called 911. A medical examiner would have termed it an accidental drowning and there wouldn't have been the need for an elaborate cover-up.

I do remember both GA and CA expressing concern that within that first week after Casey left they found the pool ladder up against the pool and a side gate open. I think Mark Fuhrman reported that when he was working as one of Greta Van Susteran's on the scene reporters.

Oh my........well, if one took place, we'll be seeing it very soon I bet!!!

Perhaps a major mess up with the new attorney on record; wanting to make sure that all dates were recorded and correct??

Oh.....this could be a wonderfull oportunity for some popcorn and a stiff drink if they really did see her on that day.
What, just a month shy of Caylee being found???

CM/JB need to learn to use WS- anytime he needs an answer to a question he could find it here.

At least he didn't say "inmate Caylee Anthony"

It is extremely important that the posts remain ON TOPIC especially since we are getting so close to the trial and waiting patiently for Casey to respond to a visit with her parents and the motion that the Anthony's attorney has filed.

There are numerous threads regarding specific issues regarding this case and they can be obtained by doing a simple search.

If there is a certain issue you are interested in discussing and are unable to find the thread, please contact a moderator for assistance. Thank you.

HLN is reporting that CA/GA want to visit ICA without the cameras rolling.

Not so..HLN

The A's are not asking to NOT record the visitation they are asking that the video be SEALED and not released to the media & the public.

IF Casey allows the visitation and IF a BIG IF the video is sealed..the visit will be captured on video and the Prosecutors would still be able to watch the video

I don't remember reading that they are asking or demanding that the jail NOT video the visit?

I thought it had to do with NOT releasing the video to the media & the public.

I will have to read the motion again.

It did. There is nothing in it that I read "Demanding" anything.

:dramaqueen: at work saying anything else.

BINGO ! Spot on and dead right.

There is nothing that the Anthony's can't tell Casey through Jose, either by his mouth, or by a smuggled letter to her as before that they have gotton away with.

What sticks out in my mind, loud and clear, is one of the first visits where Casey tells her parents, "Don't worry, I haven't said/told anything".

Well, well, well..........I guess it's time to "tell" now and get it out without Casey having to take the stand.

Her parents have always wanted non-videoed visits, now all of a sudden, they make it crystal clear that they do want it taped??

They also know, that with this tidbit being leaked or told, that every media agency in Florida already has the paperwork put together and waiting for the final dates and time stamp to get it to the court house before the Anthony's would even walk out of that visit.

They want something "out" ~

They are so transparent.

No, this may already be answered down thread, but Mr. Lippman, their lawyer, said he will file to have the tapes sealed if they are allowed to visit.

Well, they are "allowed" to visit, but ICA and Baez have to "accept" the visit. No point going down there to sit around if ICA is going to refuse them when they get there.
