Why haven't any Friends, Neighbors, CoWorkers talked ?

true but I thought somebody in her past might want thier 15 minutes of fame and come forward to say something. Just like that friend or neighbor that was on nancy grace way back when she never really had anything to say but she wanted to be on tv.

If someone from her past went on TV and said even one nice thing about her everyone would be calling her a liar and talking crap about her. There would be like 5 threads started about her in a 3 minute time frame. I don't blame people for keeping quiet.

Ok, so I understand your logic - prosecutors would be considered "jerks" by you if they chose to press charges against someone (anyone) who was found to have lied to detectives during an investigation of a missing child?

Yes, CA willingly admitted to LE that she found the pants in the car - after she washed them. It's not hard to own up to the truth after you've had a chance to effect it's worthiness to your best interests in the case.

By the time the investigators needed evidence from KC's car, CA had long switched gears from her initial 911 calls as a frantic grandmother to a desperate mother hoping not to lose her daughter as well.
Why would Cindy have even told the police about the pants if she was trying to hide something? I listened to her interviews with LE and she was adamant about several times where local LE had been present and said or did nothing with things that later became questionable issues, at least on blogs. I am speaking of course of the car, which was initially described by Cindy as having a smell like a dead body, ietems retrieved by LA from Tony's place and brought to the Anthony house....there have been other instances.

I find it sadly amusing that Cindy is being villified for being (in a word) opinionated...about her daughter's guilt and her granddaughter's fate....by some of the most incredibly vicious opinionated people I have ever seen.....based upon nothing more than their own presumptions. I see her son being suspected of incest based upon nothing but evilminded, wild speculation, with not a scintilla of evidence of veracity. Vicious nastiness is shrouded from challenge by a nefarious IMOO, of course. Seeds of hatred being sown among the ignorant and gullible sprout lavishly and wildly and produce nothing more than unfounded bias and more hate.

This is a woman....this is a family....whose very core existance has been tested by a tragedy few of us can even begin to imagine. Because they behave differently from what we perceive ourselves would...they are guilty of every nasty accusation one can carelessly fling their way??? I pray God none of us ever have to deal with anything similar.

The last time I looked this is still the USA and our constitution says innocent until proven guilty. I believe that applies also (and probably more so) to grieving families, who have been subjected to the worst from within.....they deserve better even if they suffer "differently".

Now, after several months and lots of outrageous behavior, probably yes. But I don't think that would have been the case earlier.

WOW ~ that's the exact same statement that Lee A. gave when Casey was arrested the first time.

CA on the stand at KC's bond hearing: "I was in contact with KC every day" in the month KC and Caylee were absent the A family home before it was discovered Caylee was missing.

In the face of CA's own words to 911 operators "I just found my daughter today"...I ask, was she "grieving" on the witness stand?

I think people have been way too hard on Cindy. I haven't always seen her in the best light myself, but this woman is obviously beside herself and at a level of distraught most of us will hopefully never have to experience. Maybe no one has spoken out about Cindy because there is nothing to say other than they thought she was a nice lady and they can't believe something like this is happening to her? I'm not going to pass judgement on this lady (well I'm going to try anyway) because I have and hopefully never will be in her shoes.

I don't find it odd that none of the family's past co workers, neighbors, and students with Casey have ever talked to the media, but it's strange that none have ever showed up online at some of the forums telling all sorts of things from the past.

I respect your passion on this issue. I really do!

I think some of the things being tossed around here as crazy as a Globe cover by people who IMO probably find the very idea that there are people in this world that act like this as wild as aliens and 3 headed babies so they tend to want to keep heading in that direction with their theories.

I don't think those people are doing it to be hateful I think they are simply in AWE with the things they have heard about this family thus far.. so they are running around in left field, their chins still on the ground saying "woahh, well "maybe she"... "maybe he..." .

Other things well, speak for themselves.

Maybe it's a good thing tho- trying to keep my thoughts positive - what if that's because she has classy friends who don't do that sort of thing? Even if they had horrible things to say, I wouldn't think highly of anyone who would "tell all" about her secrets. And could we really trust them at that point? Most people that do that kind of thing do it for self-gratification - unless they got dragged into this mess and had to clear their name, like so many people who's lives have been ruined over this case.

Cindy didn't say it like that. She said "I've smelled the odor...I'm a nurse...of decomposition". It was a fragmented sentence.

Thank you for finally posting this, I have been wanting to do so, but figured that most readers already knew that CA speaks in fragments, as do all the A's. She is just saying:

"It smells like a dead body, I am a nurse and have smelled decomp before." She is giving her opinion of the smell some credibility by adding that she is a nurse, unlike those who have never experienced the smell.

It serves no purpose to put any emphasis on fragmented speech. Thanks again.

I am sure that LE has talked to all co-workers, looking for clues. Perhaps they have been asked by LE or their employer to not speak to the media which is completely normal.

Apparently you do not understand my logic. If Cindy had washed the pants and neglected later to tell LE about them, that would have been a lie...however, I would hope that LE would consider Cindy's state of mind at the time and take into account that she's losing half her family in one fell swoop and not be so petty as to press charges for lying about an innocent mistake. It's not like the pants can be unwashed.

Dude, I'd sure as hell do my best to stick up for you (on the things that I feel deserve defening anyway, I think you know that much about me LOL) but I'd probably end up banned so you'd owe me one! ;)

I'd be more than happy to do the same for you - and I'd make good on that "one" I owe you.

I don't understand your point. :waitasec: Both statements by Cindy were true. What does it have to do with grieving on the stand?

But, LE DID have to come down on CA for lying and trying to obstruct the investigation. She even lied on the witness stand. That is all illegal.

Agree with you re: LA, though. There is absolutely NO evidence of incest.

She is quite sneaky about letting them know after the fact. The most stunning example of this is in her AUGUST 4rth interview where she mentions for the very first time that one of KC's friends brought her a bag of Caylee's things that KC had left at their house. Her grand-daughter is missing, someone brings her a bag full of Caylee's things and she didn't contact LE to turn it over? Naw. Not me. I'm not buying it.

MOO

I wouldn't say anything, unless I knew something directly relevant to the case. THEN, I'd say it to LE. Maybe that's also how many of them think?
