Why haven't any Friends, Neighbors, CoWorkers talked ?

She is quite sneaky about letting them know after the fact. The most stunning example of this is in her AUGUST 4rth interview where she mentions for the very first time that one of KC's friends brought her a bag of Caylee's things that KC had left at their house. Her grand-daughter is missing, someone brings her a bag full of Caylee's things and she didn't contact LE to turn it over? Naw. Not me. I'm not buying it.

How is it possible to be sneaky in telling someone something they do not know about?

"Officer, I found a pair of Casey's pants in the car and I took them out and washed them not knowing that I shouldn't do it," she said sneakily. :waitasec:

Cindy was 100% cooperative when she was interviewed by the police during the initial investigation. She offered up the entire car without a search warrant. She washed the pants out of ignorance before she even called the cops. At that time she did not even know the depth of the situation. IMO, this business that CA covered evidence on purpose has no validity.
She has done some whacky things but this is certainly not one of them.

Pink P. I couldn't agree with you more about CA being sneaky! I lost all respect for her when she started lying and accusing KC's friends for Caylee being missing!!

Everyone but KC was blamed for anything and everything!

JBean with all love and the utmost respect, I beg to differ Cindy knew when that car was brought home what it smelled like, she waited over 6 hours to say it.

Do you have a link to Cindy ever accusing any of Casey's friends of being responsible for Caylee's disappearance?

Why would Cindy have even told the police about the pants if she was trying to hide something? I listened to her interviews with LE and she was adamant about several times where local LE had been present and said or did nothing with things that later became questionable issues, at least on blogs. I am speaking of course of the car, which was initially described by Cindy as having a smell like a dead body, ietems retrieved by LA from Tony's place and brought to the Anthony house....there have been other instances.

I find it sadly amusing that Cindy is being villified for being (in a word) opinionated...about her daughter's guilt and her granddaughter's fate....by some of the most incredibly vicious opinionated people I have ever seen.....based upon nothing more than their own presumptions. I see her son being suspected of incest based upon nothing but evilminded, wild speculation, with not a scintilla of evidence of veracity. Vicious nastiness is shrouded from challenge by a nefarious IMOO, of course. Seeds of hatred being sown among the ignorant and gullible sprout lavishly and wildly and produce nothing more than unfounded bias and more hate.

This is a woman....this is a family....whose very core existance has been tested by a tragedy few of us can even begin to imagine. Because they behave differently from what we perceive ourselves would...they are guilty of every nasty accusation one can carelessly fling their way??? I pray God none of us ever have to deal with anything similar.

The last time I looked this is still the USA and our constitution says innocent until proven guilty. I believe that applies also (and probably more so) to grieving families, who have been subjected to the worst from within.....they deserve better even if they suffer "differently".

There is a mentality that is quite pervasive nowadays: that repeating a speculation reinforces its validity, irregardless of it's association to the truth, most often furthered by catch phrases that gloss over the inner workings they are purported to address. I personally find it to be less than constructive on one end of the spectrum and detrimental on the other end. Responding "in kind" without constructive criticism ignores the benefit of fair play and the search for a deeper understanding.

Conversely, I also choose to believe that WSers have Caylee's best interests at heart, and will voice opinions with that aim in mind. In all of this, Caylee is the innocent victim who has lost her voice. Both Casey and the A's have the benefit of counsel.

She told them on August 4rth about something that happened on July 23rd...About something very significant and important that could shed light on the whereabouts of her missing grand-daughter...

One can pick sneaky or stupid. I'll pick sneaky.

ETA - BTW, if you go and read or listen to that portion of the interview, it's quite obvious that she "blooped" and hadn't intended to say anything about it at all. She got lost blathering on about irrelevant information and it kind of slipped out...

I think during the 911 calls you can hear Cindy come to realize what is happening. when she made that first call she did not have a clue. But by the time she made the last one you can hear the bells and whistles going off in her head. I have no problem with any actions Cindy took at the beginning of the investigation.Even LE consistently said she was cooperative and helpful. She offered up everything and opened her front door to LE.
She had no reason to tell them she washed the pants at all. no reason whatsoever, nor did she need to reveal she brought a knife in from the car.

A person is supposed to share their suspicions (it was not an accusation) with LE - it helps solve crimes.

IIRC, she washed the pants on the15th prior to calling LE. What happened on the 23rdPP?

I beg to differ. Had she not told them about this and had they found out through other means, she would most definitely be facing an obstruction charge right now.

Maybe it's a good thing tho- trying to keep my thoughts positive - what if that's because she has classy friends who don't do that sort of thing? Even if they had horrible things to say, I wouldn't think highly of anyone who would "tell all" about her secrets. And could we really trust them at that point? Most people that do that kind of thing do it for self-gratification - unless they got dragged into this mess and had to clear their name, like so many people who's lives have been ruined over this case.

I agree. The lack of talk could indicate that Cindy has good friends and is thought well of by co workers and even former patients.

She did not tell them that she'd washed the pants on the 15th. She told them later.

Yes, and when the detectives asked her to bring them in, she said something like, "Well, I've already washed them." She didn't really want to give them anything. Grrr...

Exactly. She and George returned home with the car, they were furious that Casey's negligence in abandoning the car had cost them hundreds of dollars - this on top of the other money she'd already cost them. Cindy was upset that Casey was keeping Caylee from her and probably upset that Casey had done something that caused the car to stink to high heaven. She was unable to find Casey and was a bundle of nervous energy - so she started cleaning the car.

It's very clear in her voice during the 3rd 911 call after Casey admitted Caylee had been missing for a month that Cindy's thoughts started to drift to the unthinkable. By then it was too late to undo any of her actions.

IMO, she did tell the responding officers and they didn't care, because they were looking for a missing child. She didn't tell the investigators until the 4th and imo it was because she was trying to recall every detail.
As I say, she has done some really wild things during this investigation, but I don't think this is one of them.
I don;t think LE has even found this to be an issue have they?

okay I have had this debate too many times and I don't have the energy for it tongiht LOL. carry on :)
