I am just floored by this. I can't believe AB is still walking around breathing the fresh outdoor air. IF they don't charge him I think I'll just roll over and have a heart attack. There is no way this man wasn't involved in this. She could not have done this alone and he lived in that house. :furious: There is one thing I believe from EB's mouth/handwritten letter: "what he did afterward was kinda horrifying"

There is only one thing I'd like to hear from Adam ... WHY? Someone should put a rope around his goolies and tighten it until he answers that question truthfully.

I've thought about this - not arresting anyone soon. Wait, could this just be a "stock" answer from LE? I mean, c'mon why would they say "oh yea, as soon as we start the press conference we will be taking him into custody." Putting this statement out there does nothing but allow AB to conitnue to think he's not under the umbrella of suspicion - but we all know he has to be.

I think if theyare going to arrest him - it will just happen. No press conference, no tweets, nothing - but a nice big ole mug shot from the jail.

Hmmm. Since the day of AB's last arrest, I have visited the Hickory PD's bulletin site (http://www.hickorypd.net/p2c/DailyBulletin.aspx#) at least daily. (The site lists all arrests, accidents, etc. from that day.) That frequency has increased to at least hourly in the last two days.

I am now unable to get on the site, and have been for the last half hour or so. I know it's probable that the demand is just too great at this time, with many watching for any news of an arrest in this case....BUT... I'm wondering if they've taken it down to avoid the public knowing about certain arrest(s) until the PC.

As always, JMO.

Everyone feels he is involved with her murder. Really, I am not surprised that he is still free. They probably don't have evidence that points directly to him. If they did, I am sure he would be charged by now. EB's jailhouse letter doesn't really mean much of anything as far as involving AB. Her ramblings don't hold much weight.

I completely agree with you! I have noticed in Zahra's pictures when she is standing that she leans on her right leg and it "appears" that she has all of her weight on her right leg. I am wondering if this was due to an ill fitting, too short/small, prosthesis.

A poster early one in the general discussion threads (I am sorry I don't remember who it was) stated they have a child with a prosthesis and they require 4 new fittings a year.

I believe that Zahra had no medical insurance, had no primary care physician, no proof of citizenship, no one advocating for her, and she suffered from medical neglect at the very least. I am still of the opinion that Zahra died from systemic organ failure because those symptoms mimick a "virus". I don't know why I believe anything that EB has stated yet, but this one line has some "ring" of truth to me (in my gut). I think CPS was waiting for the family to enroll her in school (since there were no independant eyes on this child over the summer - ie: teachers/doctors), whe the family took her out of school they did that deliberately to make sure no one would find her or even know about her after the new move.

I have nothing to back this up - but to take this whole discussion back to topic - there is no way AB could deny watching his child die. I think EB was a punitive parent who wanted Zahra to not only be punished but also be "hurt". Just my opinion.

It is very apparent to me from the photos that this was ill fitting and was not being monitored by a team. On the other side watch how fast i bet zahra could move on her crutches...i know mine could out crutch my running, they adapt very well from an early age

I'm not concerned that he hasn't been charged yet. I think LE is taking their time getting everything in order (waiting for confirmation of evidence and conferring with the state attorneys, etc.) so they can charge him to the hilt. Remember EB isn't charged with murder yet either-just obstruction along with her outstanding warrents.
It's coming peeps-be patient. I know it's hard cause our emotions are so raw right now. Zahra will get justice!!

I don't understand since it was AB who called 911 and said his daughter had been kidnapped...I truly believe that he knew darn well his daughter was not missing, so why has he not also been charged with Felony Obstruction of Justice, we know that EB was charged with that for admitting she wrote the ransom note, now you have the other parental figure who actually made that call so I would think that is a Felony charge they could have him jailed over.

My beliefs are the same as yours, but I suspect they can't charge him unless there is proof that he knew she wasn't missing or that EB wrote the ransom note. So far I haven't seen any evidence of that although we all suspect it to be the case, as does LE, I would assume.

They probably believe he knew she was dead as well but as long as he maintains his story how do you prove that?

She admitted to writing the note, that is all the evidence they needed there for an indictment.

If he says he believed the note was written by kidnappers when he made the call it is a pretty defendable charge.

Thank you so much Allusonz! I am glad you are still here and I feel you have much information to offer. Since there have been so many others speculating about the effects of an ill fitting prosthesis - would you mind lending your expertise over on the "Possible COD" thread here (see link below)? I have a few theories in mind, but your personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

It appears that North Carolina is a Grand Jury State which would make the serious charge of murder subject to indictment. EB was charged with a lesser crime thus her incarceration over the randsom note.

They might charge AB with child endangerment or something like that and then up the charges later. But, they may wait until they know from autopsy any mechanism of death. So that they get an indictment for exactly the charge they wish to bring.

Do GJ convene at only certain times in this district or can one be specially convened to hear this matter?
