Why Not Burke?

I could see that during her interrogation with Tom Haney. "You're going down the wrong path buddy!"

And that was the mild PR.

Scary. That's the word I'd use.

Yeah she was a firecracker all right....and the type you don't want to see unmasked.

Oh and I believe the Patsy-UPS story posted earlier in the thread. That's her with the mask off.

Imagine THAT behind closed doors and not in public.

singularity,
Sure that's how Patsy deals with what she reckons are her inferiors, she definitely has the entitlement attitude. You can see this in her discussion with Nedra over money, i.e. JR earns it, we spend it, thats me paraphrasing.

So Patsy is no fool, she has a degree, the looks, and knows how to put guys in there place. So when it comes to staging JonBenet's murder why does she fall down on the important details? Stuff really only known to her, or surreptitiously to Burke Ramsey?

If the case really is PDI some exposition is required, other than theories from books where the author has a vested interest, e.g. Steve Thomas.

This is actually Nedra. I don't think Patsy would have played this way with John. Yes, Patsy spent a lot of money, but I don't think she would treat John that way. When Nedra was around she was the matriarch of the family. She'd prod John.

“Well, as long as Mr. Ramsey brings the money in,” Nedra said, “we’ll spend it.”

BoldBear,
Well maybe? Patsy spent lots of money on her pet projects one of which was JonBenet, the previous one Burke had been abandoned.

Patsy went on trips everywhere particularly to pageants accompanied by her sister and mom, this cost lots of dollars.

I reckon JR opened his wallet and looked away for a quiet life.

I guess you didn't understand what I said so I'll say it again. Patsy spent a lot of money and that's well documented. But Patsy wasn't flippant with John. That would have been outside of her character. She got her way by using southern charm, not through demands.

Nedra was flippant with John. She was the one who told everyone what they were going to do. She was even more of a force behind JB's pageants.

I also understand how you can say that Burke was abandoned as one of Patsy's projects. That doesn't mean that Burke was suddenly stuck in a box. Seriously, do you really think that Patsy was going to be out teaching Burke sports? She didn't grow up with boys. She was a girly girl. Burke had scouts and she got him basketball lessons. I can't imagine Patsy taking-up an interest in planes and trains for Burke. I think she'd tolerate being a soccer mom, but I don't think she'd like it.

BoldBear,
You might be 100% on everything you opine. What matters to me is how Patsy's focus moved from Burke to JonBenet. Its not about the specifics, the details can be micromanaged whether not its JonBebet or Burke thats at issue.

.

If Patsy shifting focus is what matters to you, why not also bring up that Burke's issues started to decline when this happened while Jonbenet's started getting worse?

I realize it doesn't fit into the BDI narrative but why bring up half that issue? I guess that's what "not about the specifics" really means.

singularity,
Well everything is on the table. Burke being sidelined by Patsy well that plays right into a BDI. since he can be characterized as neglected and resentful. i.e. he wants to whack JonBenet for getting all the attention, even strangers at pageants seem to like her.

The case is likely BDI with Patsy staging for BR. If your going to stage a crime-scene then eliminating gotcha mistakes is an up front issue. This never happened, looks like the parents arrived late to find JonBenet apparently dead?

They then fixed it as best they could, with Patsy talking everyone round in circles: Don't go there pal.
