JK wasn’t working yet buying expensive gifts for boyfriend’s kids. In addition, consistent spending at bars, casinos, restaurants. After victim's death didn't hesitant to give away her belongings. moo

WAUKESHA, Wis. - A Waukesha County jury heard on Monday, Oct. 30 an accused murderer's phone calls from jail – and her boyfriend's doubts about her story.

Jessy Kurczewski is accused of poisoning Lynn Hernan with eye drops in 2018 – and stealing Hernan's money. Kurczewski's boyfriend testified on Monday that Kurczewski claimed she, herself, was poisoned with eye drops while out on the town.

"I don’t understand why you're being this mean, it doesn’t even make sense," said Kurczewski on a jail call to Scott Craig.

Kuczewski called Craig from jail in July 2019. Investigators told Craig they were investigating Hernan's 2018 death – and that Hernan was never in a coma.

Jessy Kurczewski, 39, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, theft of property under $10,000 and theft of property between $10,000 and $100,000 after the Oct. 3, 2018, death of Lynn Hernan of Pewaukee.

Hernan was found with a large amount of crushed medication on her chest and a plate nearby, a criminal complaint said. A medical examiner’s report found the victim had a fatal dose of tetrahydrozoline in her system, a main ingredient in eye drops. The death was found to be poisoning.

The Prosecutor played a jailhouse phone call between Jessy and her BF when he called her diabolical. The Defense objected but was overruled bc there was no objection to allowing the jailhouse phone calls into evidence.

The rest of testimony yesterday was centered on Jessy's spending habits. Jessy enjoyed spending someone else's money.

RIP Lynn Hernan

Jessy Kurczewski, the woman accused of fatally poisoning a Pewaukee woman with eyedrop fluid, lavishly spent on bedroom furniture and offered to pay for a trip to Thailand around the time the woman died, witnesses testified.

She couldn't take hearing the truth about being diabolical. Her mannerism in court is disturbing. I can't explain it, however, I'm sure the jurors notice. moo

I'm behind in watching today's testimony bc Dan Markel's case is in trial, too, but wanted to ask if you noticed Jessy has been wearing a gold cross necklace. Wonder if the Judge changed her mind about allowing Jessy the necklace, hair style and makeup ea morning. Who keeps the necklace when not in court?

AP appears upset while testifying. Even though he was a close friend of the victim, he got nothing bc Jessy stole it all. It must be very difficult to go through this kind of pain.

Yes, I noticed the gold cross around her neck... believe she's been wearing it since day one of the trial. I've not noticed make-up (it must be subtle), tho, I noticed the hair. I assumed a jail mate is doing her hair, because it's the usual unattractive braid look (at least on one of the days). Not sure where the necklace is being kept at end of day.

Really sad for AP, LH wanted him as the beneficiary. I was glad to hear someone say they missed LH, and he brought LH to life for me and not just a character being featured in a trial. moo
