While attending the Waukesha Christmas parade, an SUV tragically entered the parade route and struck 40 victims. Two of those victims were children, Tucker (age 12) and Jackson (age 8) Sparks. The entire family is devastated and their parents, Aaron and Sheri, are at the bedsides of their children who are both at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Tucker, is recovering, but sustained road rash and a fractured skull. They are closely monitoring his head and spine. He is stable at this time. Jackson, age 8, underwent brain surgery on Sunday evening. Doctors will be testing for brain function and brainstem activity today (Monday, November 22nd). He needs a miracle.

It is just unimaginable what they and other parents,family and friends are going through.
Prayers being said and love sent from across the pond.

DB got lucky with his choice of houses there. He found a super trusting and unaware person who made him a sandwich and let him into the house! Had he pounded on the door of an angry, armed person who was listening to the police scanner, it could have ended very badly for DB.

Very true. That may have been exactly what DB was hoping to do. Vivid example of why we should never let strangers into our homes.

Well, I don't think that he will be eligible for bail this time, and I hope that he will not be a threat to women, young girls, or pedestrians for the rest of his life.

It should not take the act of killing someone to finally put a repeat criminal away for long time. It happens with DV, carjacking, robberies and assaults.
I have so much I would like to say but will leave it to focus on the victims.

This guy certainly did not accidentally plow through this parade. He had plenty of opportunities to stop his car.
It remains to be seen what his motivation was for this heinous crime.
I will add, however, that I have never seen any criminal’s social media presence taken down as fast as this killer’s was.

Props go out to that FOX news reporter who heard on the scanner about the perp’s DL being left on the dash and immediately started investigating and posting. Never underestimate the power of the Internet to investigate things like this.

The more people <modsnip> try to downplay the fact that 2/3 of massacres are perpetrated by domestic abusers and that this monster had run over the mother of his child mere days before going on a vehicular homicide rampage, preferring grasp at straws to try to prove a different motive that stokes the racial unrest they personally financially profit from, the more the very problems with criminal justice that led to a judge releasing a clear threat to society on $1000 bond are reinforced and enabled. IMO

We see it time and time again: An abuser runs over a former romantic partner, and then runs over dozens of strangers. An abuser shoots a romantic partner, then shoots dozens of strangers. When are we going to take the crystal-clear, proven link between domestic violence and mass murder seriously? Relying on evidence rather than propaganda and "opinion" is the way to stop this horrific violence from happening again! A judge not believing domestic violence is a serious threat is why Brooks was not behind bars two days ago. We must not make the same mistake.

I have been trying to think of the ways a defense attorney will spin this case. From the looks of the recent mugshot, I am going with insanity or mental illness.

Probably will go with insanity or mental illness because he is in my opinion. The issue is whether he’ll go to jail for a long long time or a mental facility for rehab and get out in the near future.
