So he and his mother were estranged for a period of time and have issues. That explains why she’s not there. I don’t believe she’s on the witness list! That’s cold as heck for her to not be in the courtroom during this trial as his mother!

His Momma bought him his phone....He's 40

This interrogation, and DB's answers reminds me of Casey Anthony's Disney trip!

including paperwork 30 min. verdict

Yep, those “yes sirs” stopped as soon as he was was starting to get confronted with truths

If DB would not have represented himself, the jury would have no idea what his voice sounded like and he would have had a better chance (like 0.00001%) with his SODDI defense. Oops.

I like this detective. He figured this guy out to a T pretty quickly.

I can imagine what he is thinking during these constant interruptions by this guy as he is trying to testify.

And of course Brooks’ pain intensifies as he is being confronted.

Hahaha BUSTED! As soon as they leave he gives up the act!

AND this guy is so worried about his "girls". Animals like this having kids.....those kids have no chance. You can see in this interview he is exactly like he is in the courtroom...he has been doing this his entire adult life.

I am so impressed at the detective work done in Waukesha.. just a small community in Wi. this is great work for any city.

watching this det. interview I wish Wi. had the DP. This man deserves the DP. I feel it applies to him as there is no mitigation here at all.

Hm this detective made several errors. He’s impatient and confrontational. Of course he’s going to clam up after you show him the carnage he inflicted. My understanding is that the typical strategy is to minimize the crime so the suspect feels comfortable to confess. That’s how they were doing it and then bam he’s showing him a video?

Was just going to say the same thing. Poor me, I was railroaded, oh my shoulder. This interview shows the jury who he really is.

I believe the detective did give him chance after chance, prior to showing the videos. He previously just showed a pic of DB driving the vehicle while on the parade route, and then a picture of the severe damage to the car. Much to infer in those, but DB is no dummy. He had a chance, and was playing the denial game.....which he continued to do. Kind of like the kid in the "I see dead people" movie. " NOT THERE! NOT THERE!!"

DB is an adult...who cannot face the consequences of his own actions

I felt this Det. minimized it for some time but the next day changed tactics. His interview is certainly not a confession but I think the state spent so much time on it as it is pretty revealing and now that everyone knows so much more it is even better. He was pressing Det. to see if anyone was dead...he knew the carnage he left and I think knew some were probably dead.

I disagree. DB had many opportunities to tell the truth. DB was trying to take over the conversation, such as he does. The detective decided to try a different tactic. This interrogation would have gone on for hours and hours with DB deflecting, changing the subject, playing the victim. DB had stated he was a God fearing man and a Christian. Maybe the detective was trying to appeal to that side of him. JMO

it is unnerving to see DB use many of the same tactics on Det. Carpenter as he is doing now in this courtroom. When he was dismissed to the other courtroom he got out that bible and started reading it hoping it would be seen on camera. this guy is so transparent.
