she has cooperated with state...gave them that video of him in her backyard with vehicle prior to parade disaster. He will be making a big mistake and bet he either tries to recall some of the witnesses (note when he is finished with a witness judge asks "any more questions" and he always says "not now"...or just rests. He will take up 1/2 with more crap
I too noticed DB saying “no further questions AT THIS TIME. Can he recall any if he wanted? My understanding is the prosecution can present a rebuttal to DB’s defense. Can DB recall any witnesses for a re-rebuttal? Sounds like testimony portion of the trial will be over on Monday or Tuesday. I expect DB to throw a major fit if he was planning on recalling his witnesses.

DB was successful in wearing down the court last week (IMO). We all saw and heard it. And it was painful to bear.
I am hoping that Judge Jen D was/is able to re-strengthen her fortitude, and press on. I would like to see and hear her stress, "First, only and final warning, Mr Brooks...You will be removed from the courtroom if your improper behavior continues".
Then, remove him! No more dancing and debating with this disruptive clown!

The same with muting, while in the other courtroom. One and only warning...then mute.

Next, is proceeding with the case...which he will attempt the same old....ONE warning. If he chooses not to, he's done.

No more games. She's worn out, but she will continue...

In my head, on Monday morning when court resumes, I will have the music/song "Green Onions" by Booker T and the MG's playing in the background. It's all good! (Look it up if you are not familiar with it)

Judge Jen can and will get through this. The trial will continue, we are almost there!

I get the sense there will be some Big Bang finale fireworks between judge and the sovereign entity during final week of trial.

My guess will be, that yes..DB 'called' her as a witness. Also, my guess is that DW should probably have an attorney advising her at this point.

Yes. I think she will be there and testify truthfully. I say this based on my impression of her in the Fox6 interview. moo

If the mother does come to court and does actually get to the testifying part will she lie and tell the story the defendant wants and expects her to tell about not talking to any police and not handing over the ring doorbell video which would give the defendant a win against detective Casey or will she tell the truth which can probably be proven by police with chain of custody documents? Either way I feel a big blow up coming…..and if she doesn’t show up I bet there will be more conspiracy theories from the defendant about police coaching and intimidation…….so actually there will be a big blow up no matter what she does, but if she lies in court she might end up in the cell next to the defendant, so they won’t need to talk on the phone every night. My opinion only.

So then she will verify what the state has indicated that she sent the photos of the baby to DB per his request? That would be great. I do think she may well have legal help in dealing with this...she may want to be out the message of his mental illness and about the only way he can get that in. It should be interesting. I will not be surprised if he tries to recall some that have already been up. I think the judge will come back Monday with the end game in sight and maybe be a bit more tough and follow thru on her threats.

You know, I have an ominous feeling about tomorrow. By coincidence, while listening to oldies, I came across the Mamas & Papas song, Monday, Monday.

Here are the closing lines:

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day
Monday, Monday, it just turns out that way
Oh Monday, Monday, won't go away
Monday, Monday, it's here to stay
Oh Monday, Monday

I just went back and watched his initial hearing about a month after the event. He is bent forward in his chair sobbing throughout. Dramatically different from what we are seeing now. I wonder if it was an show for sympathy or he had some dramatic revelation while incarcerated that led
to the attitude change.

I am listening to some of the late Sept. hearings about competency and his "pro per" representation. Clearly he was even then setting up his appeal ...he is proudly stating he has never said I don't understand...only "Im informed" etc. You can see what he was doing even then. Judge Dorow made it clear "I'm informed" going forward it the functional equivalent of "you understand".

It’s absolutely to try to gain sympathy. He has repeatedly feigned injury for the most minute things when the going gets rough for him. It’s all about him and nothing else. moo

I thought the same, but last week I found another view of that hearing and I'm not sure there were any tears

I watched this too...what a mess he is and you have to wonder how that public defender could sit there with her arm around him??? I think there should have been no bail. That criminal history is one case after another where he got shorter jail time...so many breaks and such low bail required. The system has a chance to put this guy away long ago.

It appears as though DB has served more time for smoking weed than quite a few Domestic Violence and Battery charges. THIS needs to change. MOO

<modsnip: defendant’s mother is a victim> If he spent any time incarcerated, it was jail not prison which will be a totally different environment for him that he will hopefully spend the rest of his miserable life.

Darrell Brooks trial: Criminal history dates back to 1999

House of Corrections where he has served time (jail not prison):
Milwaukee County House of Correction Inmate Records Search, Wisconsin - StateCourts

i think if that judge that set the $5mil bail would never have been as tolerant of his behavior as is Dorow. That judge was so disgusted.
