yes, but not sure who is crying. Not sure if it was a video being viewed or someone present.I hear crying in the courtroom
I like the break after the state's presentation. Give that video time to resonate and let the anger build.
So, will he hold his Bible and cry, be defiant and ask for nullification, or both?
Whatever his approach, it will fail.
Just my thoughts.
Otis
The crying in the courtroom is something they try to avoid...usually families are cautioned in advance to not be there if they think it might be too difficult...they must have known about the closing video. I am not sure DB is smart enough to know that he could use it on appeal...not even sure if he heard it.yes, but not sure who is crying. Not sure if it was a video being viewed or someone present.
Closing arguments for state are done.
Brooks just asked if his mic was on and when he was informed he was not being muted he said "jury should know they can nullify" and he was promptly muted by judge who stated "you are muted now"
ETA I think this occurred while jury was still present but not sure. Now we are on a break
State will not need one if the defendant doesn’t muddy any waters……..my opinion only.State doesn't get to give a rebuttal if he doesn't close.
yep a bit over one minute. I don't think he has a closing.not sure this will even go one minute
