According to the complaint, Elijah was found with “bruising on his jawline and neck on the left side, as well as bruising on his upper left arm,” as well as wearing a blindfold while he was sleeping. Baur took this photo of Elijah at 3:13 a.m. on February 14 at 3918 Mishicot Road in Two Rivers, Vang’s apartment.
The criminal complaint states the last known photo of Elijah was taken on February 15 at 8:24 p.m.
Investigators say Vang told Baur that Elijah "can be placed in the bathroom while they have sex."

The criminal complaint says Baur told Vang her 6-year-old daughter "can sleep in the car."
Investigators say she arrived at the apartment at about 2:30 a.m., leaving her older child alone in the car.
Authorities were also able to extract a deleted picture of Elijah from Baur’s phone, dated on the 14th. It showed him on a bed, blindfolded, and that he ”appears to have bruising on his jawline and neck on the left side, as well as bruising on his upper left arm.”

This article calls JV KB's boyfriend, which *I think* is the first reference I've seen to a romantic relationship between the two:
I find it interesting that they weren't cohabitating. Part of me wonders if KB gave JV more compensation than half her tax return and in exchange he "disciplined" EV and allowed her to believe they were in a relationship. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit imagining that he's the mastermind, but typically when people are in love (to the extent these people could feel love) and want to "co-parent" (term used very loosely), they live together.
It’s hard not to think about this case and I’m wondering about several things. Why did Katrina take photos of Elijah, to “remember him”? Blackmail Jesse? Someone else? Having him blindfolded, why? So he cannot see someone or something? The bruises, did Jesse hit/push him? Did he fall during a cold shower? Fall from exhaustion from standing for hours? On Feb. 18-19, did Jesse give Elijah a sleeping pill or other drug and caused death? With Katrina’s several visits late night/early morning is odd, but maybe she wanted to go when she wouldn’t be seen? The last time she was in town and they drove around, did they hide his body and waited to move him on the 19th with the car in question? Is there a third person involved that moved Elijah using the car? I’m curious to know what Jesse’s response was for where he was during the seven hours LE mentioned they’re looking for video of the car? Who was at the bus stop for his son at 3:30pm? The cell phone data put Baur in the area again on February 16th, where it is alleged that Elijah was left alone in Vang’s Two Rivers apartment for several hours while Vang and Baur were in Manitowoc.

In the last known images that have been shared of Elijah (from the auto facility), he was noticeably bundled up inside the business.
To me, he looked overly bundled up, almost uncomfortable. Only a small portion of his face could be seen.
I do realize weather outside was likely cold, but to sit inside for a longer period, typically people remove their coats.
JV was likely trying to hide all the bruising on his little face and neck.
I just can't fathom how a mother, who allegedly fought to get out of a previous DV relationship, tried to get herself clean, got custody of her children back, just turns around and goes back, willingly participating in having her child abused again.

The owner of Ross Auto Service in Two Rivers said, according to his customer records, Jesse Vang came into his shop on Feb. 16 with a small boy. The owner said surveillance images show the pair inside the auto repair shop.
The owner said Vang came in for a service and was there for about an hour with the child.

For the first time, volunteers searched in the Green Bay area.
They largely focused on the Baird Creek trails on the city's east side. The group planned to also look at UW-Green Bay, but an organizer said the school told the group to stay only on the trails, so the decision was made to focus more on Baird Creek between Danz Elementary School and McAuliffe Park.

No, I didn’t say that because it would mean he was still alive (although, of course, I hope he is). But because he hasn’t been found and they were looking for that unrelated car.
There have also been numerous cases of kids being sold besides Shaniya. Luz Maida just recently happened. And Joslyn Smith from SA! I mean, just google “children sold for drugs” and see page after page of examples.

As far as bundling up while in the auto shop, the picture I saw he was in a coat with a hat which didn’t strike me as excessive especially in WI during the winter. It also may have been cold in the auto shop, I know I’ve been in some that aren’t heated too well - likely from the doors constantly opening and closing out into the service bays.
It did strike me as odd that UWGB told searchers to stay away from the school and just on the trails; there has to be a reason the search has taken them there.

Gathering held in Wis. Dells to bring attention to Vue and Yoblonski
Just over a dozen people met at a tree in Wisconsin Dells where neighbors say 3-year-old Elijah Vue used to play.
WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV) - It’s been over two weeks since Two Rivers boy Elijah Vue was last seen, and more than nine months since James Yoblonski went missing near Devil’s Lake State Park.
Saturday evening, a gathering was held to honor both of the missing boys.

Many of the people at the vigil say they live in the apartment building next to Saturday night’s meeting spot, where Vue’s mother Katrina Baur used to live.

Neighbors of Baur say they were completely blindsided by Vue’s disappearance as well as the charges Baur is now facing.
Many of the attendees at Saturday’s event say they will be searching the Baraboo area for the two boys on Sunday.
Community hosts vigil for missing Wisconsin boys, keeping hope alive
During a somber yet hopeful atmosphere, the Wisconsin Dells community came together for a candlelight vigil to honor 13-year-old James Yoblonski and 3-year-old Elijah Vue, both of whom remain missing.
Following the vigil, attendees released balloons into the sky and offered prayers. Many expressed their commitment to searching until further updates are received.
