I made the mistake of looking at the imageshack link. Immediately I was repulsed and horrified. Then I just felt so sad...we discuss these things daily here on WS, but to SEE it (and forget the blurring....what a joke) was beyond shocking to me.

On the drive to pick up my DD, I got really angry. How can people do this to children?!?! And how can people enjoy passing stuff like this around to other sickos?!? I just don't get it!

As an aside, I did not report the link because I know it has been reported by many other people. I have to admit, though, that I'm really nervous that I clicked on it and now my IP address is associated with it. I truly didn't expect to see what I saw. I thought there would be more blurring and less....reality. It was way more graphic than I realized it would be. Should I be worried that I clicked on the link??

Anyone know the circumstances around TD going missing? I know he's listed as an endangered runaway but I can't find even a single news article about what happened. How can a child just up and go missing one night and the family doesn't stage a media blitz? Argh. So frustrating. Anyone else have some kind of backstory?

Also, I don't know if this will come into play later (in terms of when the video was released) but, TD went missing on May 12, 2010 from Toledo, Ohio.

I agree with all that you said, and I personally cannot believe that the images on imageshack are still there. I also clicked on the link so I am sure they have my IP address as well, I even clicked 2 or 3 times just to see if it was still there today, and it is.

At first I was nervous that I looked, but I doubt anything will come of it, but it is verified that we belong to Websleuths, also if they would ever go so far as to look at our computers (which I absolutely do not think would ever happen, but theoretically) to see what other websites we were visiting, they will see we are posting here at the same time and on this thread and trying to identify the boy in the photos, which is what they asked the public to do.

I was horrified by what I saw, those images are not blurred by someone who is doing it for the right reason IMO because WAY TOO MUCH is visible, and so many of those stills ARE NOT NECESSARY FOR ANY REASON, but I am not worried that I looked at or will be in trouble for looking. I am horrified and disgusted by what I saw on so many levels, but no, I don't think we would be in any kind of trouble at all.

But how many teenagers/young boys who have seen this story on the internet and the clues how to get to the imageshack sites, and have found this, and passed it along to their friends as kids will do? this is the stuff kids are curious about and I can see that linked getting passed along to curious innocent kids, who will look and pass it along, or curious NOT so innocent kids, I THINK THAT PAGE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN PRONTO! most people are too scared to actually ever click on real child , but having this link available makes it very easy to do to, I know it was easy enough for ME to do it, and I would NEVER seek this kind of thing out on my own, but it was there because of LE/ICE ASKING us to try to figure out who this boy/teen is.

Yes, I am outraged, what can we do? it has been reported numerous times, I can't believe that at least the comment on the msnbc.com article about how to find the images is still there, it should be deleted, this stuff is illegal and a crime, why are those photos still there? I am more outraged about that than trying to figure out who this kid even is at this point.

I'm not going to explain why because id have to explain a lot but basically you cant make an image better or clearer to see the computer would have to somehow know what's there. Imagine a blurry tree. The computer would somehow have to know the leaves, bark detail, shadows etc that you cant see. Obviously that's not possible.

I don't know it that comment was directed at me, not important, but I am talking about facial image recognition software, even Google images, you can drop any photo on there and find images on the internet that are a match or very very similar. Even facebook now has facial recognition technology. re: Google images: Now I did drop the distorted frontal view photo that LE provided onto Google images, and I got lots of images to view through, but many were Asian, people with VERY large foreheads and VERY large nose bridges, people with Down Syndrome, which this boy does not have. I tried to drop one of the photos that were screen capped from the imageshack videos onto Google images, but it was connected to the another photo, and I only got a few hits that were completely irrelevant, and I am not good enough with computers to try to figure out how to separate them, and the images have rightly been removed from websleuths. and I'm not going back to that imageshack page to try to create my own screen cap of a good front facial view of the boy/teen, because they are absolutely available there.

I post that or similar in threads I read where people discuss LEs technology with images. Im in the industry and know first hand. Most people don't know and I'm trying to educate everyone as it is a very common misconception.

I agree, don't think this is him. Earlobes are more detached, face shape less narrow, eyes tilt up...all different on basement boy from TD.

Yes! Please help out and please don't look at the non-MSM images. There are still plenty of ways to sleuth without going there.

That freakin' lampshade from the cropped stills is really bothering me. It's one of the most distinctive things in the room. Probably grasping at straws....as if identifying the lampshade would help anything.

My first thought was Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Hard to say.....

I could be seeing what I want to see, but the two basements look very similar. I wish I could post pics with arrows to show what similarities I'm seeing, but I'll just try to describe. In TD's friend's basement, there is a part of the ceiling that juts lower than the rest (similar to a beam) where it meets the pole everyone was talking about in thread #1. There appears to be a similar effect in the photos released by LE. Also, the thin, high windows showing daylight appear to be similar. Yes, I realize this is a basement and many basements have those type of windows -- but many don't (including mine) and it's worth noting the similarity. I would also like to note the presence of large pieces of furniture in both basements that are being used as furniture (i.e. bookshelves, china cabinets, etc) as opposed to simply being stored in the basement.

At the very end of the last video on TD's friend's myspace account, the camera gets picked up and you get a quick swipe of the right-hand side of the basement. There, you see what appears to be another support pole, a couch or futon, beanbag chair, and television in a console. It's very quick and I've tried to pause the frames but they get blurry when I do that. Is anyone else able to grab screenshots of those last few seconds of the video -- and, mods, is that something we might be able to post here without posting the person's name whom we grabbed the screenshots from?

You are doing something that falls in line with training I received that is considered EXCELLENT. My one instructor used to always say DETAILS, DETAILS. Those little things can add up, so include them whenever you can. Is there already a time line started on this? Because if you can add what Rougelatette says here to a theory perhaps it will be easier to reach a conclusion.
