Today, I am just a Wisconsinite doing what little I can to help #FindJayme. Incredible to see the support of the community, and to volunteer with 1,999 other people to find any evidence in this case.

Two thousand volunteers join the search for Jayme Closs in Wisconsin | Daily Mail Online
Two thousand volunteers have joined members of law enforcement to search farm and woodland around the Barron, Wisconsin home where Denise, 46, and James Closs, 56, were gunned down and their 13-year-old daughter, Jayme was abducted last week.

Trucks crawled bumper to bumper as thousands gathered early Tuesday morning to start the foot search of a five-and-half-mile radius around the Closs family home that is expected to go on until dusk.

'Searchers are being organized into 13 groups of 150 volunteers accompanied by four or five DNR (Department of Natural Resources) and, or State Patrol staff as leaders,' DNR Warden Supervisor, Russell T Fell, one of hundreds of law enforcement officers assisting the Barron County Sheriff's Department said.

'Everyone has had to register and their driving licenses have been scanned partly just to ensure that everybody is accounted for but also as an investigative tool.'

The search teams extended in a 5-mile radius surrounding the home of Jayme's parents, Denise and James Closs, after the couple was found killed on Oct. 15.

The FBI tweeted a thank you to all the volunteers who made their way through "roadsides and cornfields in Barron for items that may be related to the disappearance."

One local resident, AH, said The family needs answers. We need to find her, our winter is coming. There are no words to describe how important it is."

Funeral services set for slain Wisconsin couple whose daughter is still missing
The Closses both worked for the past 27 years at the Jennie-O Turkey Store plant in Barron and were married 15 years ago in Las Vegas.

James Closs, who was raised in Ladysmith, was described in the obituary as a passionate Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan who was fond of recounting his own "glory days" as a high school athlete.

Denise Closs, born in Chippewa Falls, loved tending to flowers, feeding her birds and "helping everyone, any way she could," the obituary read.

Bank account established
A fund established for the family of the late Jim and Denise Closs, and their daughter, Jayme, could reach at least $30,000 this week, according to a family member.

Cameron resident JS, whose wife, J, is Denise Closs’ sister, contacted area newspapers last week to announce he had set up an account for the family at Sterling Bank.

JS said one donor had already offered $10,000, and has information that Jennie-O Turkey Store, where Jim and Denise Closs were employed, has also been gathering donations.

“I have heard that (the Jennie-O donations) could be at $20,000,” JS said.

After Massive Ground Search, Effort To Find Jayme Closs Enters 10th Day
When the hours-long search ended in the afternoon, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said his team is investigating some of the items collected.

So far, nothing seems to give them major leads in the case, which means the biggest lead so far are the two vehicles that came up on nearby surveillance.

“Those vehicles were in the area at the time of the incident,” Fitzgerald said. “They are vehicles of interest and that is why we need to locate [them]…why were they in the area and maybe they saw something.”

The vehicles in question are a red car, believed to be a Dodge Challenger, and a black SUV, believed to be either a Ford Edge or an Acura MDX.

Jayme Closs search: About 2,000 volunteers comb through swamps, cornfields; sheriff calls support 'overwhelming'
The Salvation Army was responsible for making sure the volunteers had adequate food and water during the arduous search.

“Each bag had a sandwich, chips, a cookie and fruit,” The Salvation Army's Duana Bremer said, according to CBS in Minnesota. “This is really heartwarming because you’re looking at every aspect of life helping.”

The volunteers were told to walk slowly and yell "Stop!" if they saw anything notable. Video posted by TV station KMSP showed the searchers walking in a grid pattern in tall grass. They were told to look for such items as a cell phone, a weapon or a piece of clothing.

Disappearance of Jayme Closs - Wikipedia
The night of the disappearance a 911-call was made from the home of the Closs family around 01:00 am.[2] While the operator, did not speak with anyone, they heard a disturbance and a lot of yelling. When the dispatcher attempted to call the number back, they received the voicemail of Denise Closs.[4] Upon arrival 4-minutes after the call, Police noticed that the front door had been kicked in, and her parents; James Closs (56-years-old) and Denise Closs (46-years-old) dead, due to gunshot wounds.[5]

Two vehicles were spotted on surveillance footage near to the home, with police identifying them as vehicles of interest, and as a red or orange 2008 - 2014 Dodge Challenger and a black 2006 - 2010 Ford Edge or 2004 - 2010 Acura MDX.[3] Neighbors also claimed to hear two gunshots around 00:30 am on October 15, but dismissed it as hunting was common around their home and did not call 911.[6]
