I keep thinking of that 80’s movie ‘Without a trace’......When they found the kid, there was a huge police escort to get him back home that grew each jurisdiction. Gave me chills of joy... I know Jayme wasn’t far... But I still would like to be in that escort.
Oh man, that teared me up.

KARE 11 on Twitter
Messages welcoming Jayme Closs home can be seen around Barron, including at the local McDonald’s. #JaymeCloss

NOW I am crying AGAIN!
I am just so grateful Jayme is finally SAFE and back where she belongs!

For those suggesting that the alleged perp's looks correlate with his possibly being a violent incel, I would just like to point out that Israel Keyes was good-looking (in my opinion) and well-liked, and so was Ted Bundy.

One of Israel Keyes' victims said "You're a good-looking guy...I would probably have gone out with you...you don't have to do this." He had a fiance AND a girlfriend.

I am so confused. Maybe someone can help me out here. So on the TODAY show they interviewed the woman that called 911 after Jayme was brought to her house. She said in the interview that Jayme was locked up most of the time that she was kidnapped. Sounds to me like they locked her places based on what the woman said. In the press conference LE says that Jayme gave full description of vehicle and gave them the perps name. My question is if she was taken at night wouldn't this be harder for her to get full description of the vehicle? Also I wonder how she knew his full name. Does this mean that Jayme knew him since has connections to Barron?
She may have been kept in a room with a window, had been forcibly taken on 'joyrides' with him or had seen photos.

There was no evidence we know of that Jayme knew him, she could see the vehicle after she was abducted, and the suspect may tell her his full name

Having been looking at the roster before the press conference, his name was not listed on the roster before the presser.
Yes, it was, last night. I saw his photo and initials after someone mentioned it. It was the county jail where Gordon is located and there were only two logged for yesterday. I can't remember what the charges were that were listed but it was not kidnapping or homicide.

He killed both parents so there would be no witnesses IMO.

That is true! Thank you!

But why not find a girl closer to home? And not risk that drive with his victim? He picked Jayme for a reason. But not living right there...how?

If he had a criminal record as a minor, is there a way to find that out?

Juvenile records in Wisconsin are sealed. They are and can be made available to law enforcement. So it would take law enforcement reporting on any juvenile history.

Marking my spot and hoping for answers ... and justice.

I recognise his face too and feel like I saw it on the roster last night.

Sheriff said that Patterson had no contact with family. How could he possibly know that? Two of the victims are deceased and they can't speak. There still seems to be a missing piece somewhere..

No, I don't think it means that. Description of the vehicle could be "black SUV", which she would know if she was transported in it. And he may have told her his name, maybe even only the first name.

I'm not faulting them one bit. They worked harder than one can imagine. There just seemed to be a lot of self-congratulation for what the actual victim accomplished rather than them.

But @zea mays made a good point. They're likely just so stunned and elated that it's coming out a bit inarticulate.

They don't get outcomes like this very often.

In sports when a team mate scores a goal - many do the back patting, even the spectators. I don't see it as self congratulations, just pure joy.

The flurry of family and friends to scrub, hide, deactivate, delete their social media accounts and any connections to this perp.

Did he mean with his family? Not hers?

It was reported that Jayme said she would be locked up when he had to leave (by the woman who called 911 I think)

Sheriff said no connection to Jennie-O

Thank you. I want to know what JP's connection to Barron is. I hope they tell us today at 4pm.

His finding Jayme could be something as random as seeing them in a gas station or McD's, standing behind or beside them and seeing Jayme and then either following them or noticing their last name on their bank card and finding them from there, since the last name isn't super common.
And that is what is so terrifying. This could happen to anyone who goes to a gas station, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. You never know when some whackjob will see you or someone you love & become obsessed. FYI, January is national stalking awareness month. The Clery Act requires awareness presentations to be given at colleges to educate students that they are not ever entitled to another person’s time, attention, affection or body. I wish this were done at the Jr. High & High School level.

It is wonderful to read that this little girl is alive and will reunite with her family. It will be interesting to learn how he found her to target, since there is no known connection between Jayme or her family and this monster.

I hope that she can find some peace and learn to live as normal a life as possible. Poor darling. I really don't know if anyone can ever recover from what happened here.
