i know a few here have suggested it; the closs house was demolished:
Closs home, site of tragic killings and kidnappings, torn down

Wisconsin home where Jayme Closs was kidnapped and her parents slain is torn down

"The bank that owns the house had it demolished Tuesday, erasing the property outside Barron, Wis., where the 13-year-old was abducted and her parents, James and Denise, were murdered last fall.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald confirmed that his agency released the crime scene back to the estate several months ago. The bank that owns the house, which sits about 2 miles outside of town, consulted the surviving relatives before tearing it down."

I'm actually glad to see that house gone. Jayme doesn't have to go by and reliving everything with that house still standing.

I’m just seeing the news on HLN that the Closs Home has been demolished.

Quote from HLN Morning Express with Robin Meade:

HOME WHERE PARENTS WERE KILLED TORN DOWN

Jayme Closs Statement
May 24, 2019:

“I don’t want to even see my home or my stuff because of the memory of that night. My parents and my home were the most important things in my life.”

If I remember from back then, the Dad owned it and had paid it off. I do hope the Dad remodels it into a positive, happy place if he doesn’t sell it.

True, but only to a point. She would still see the yard, the property, and the missing house. It may be a long time - if ever - before she can travel down that road without such memories.

Hoping for continued healing for this brave young Jayme.

We know that we saw it was for sale or it was going to be.

I wonder if pressure was put on the bank to tear it down.

They had the mortgage so they lost the money outstanding whatever that amount was.

I hope this is some kind of donation on their part. Not sure how it would work

I'm glad to know that the Bank deferred to JC's wishes.

Nonetheless, it's clear to me that the bank didn't make inquiry with Closs family initially or they would not have spent money on update/remodel.

Based on the earlier house listing, this expenditure was evident, and not something done if they planned to tear it down.

I believe the tear down was the result of public pressure, and lender wanting some goodwill in the community. MOO

From the posted pictures briefly posted it didn't look like a remodel/update was done? Damaged doors and rug(s) were replaced within a month or so but that would of been prior to foreclosure IMO.

You must have missed the new bathroom pictures. My point being if this was a "tear down," there would not have been anymore than doors to secure the property, and not a listing and photos uploaded on realty site.
