We don't know if the dog did or didn't run outside. We don't know whether it was found in the house or elsewhere.
I don't think they saw the dog when they first were on the scene. I think the dog was picked up later, according to the log. But I could be wrong. Knowing that particular breed, and like many small dogs, it probably ran and hid in a safe place, like under a bed. Jmo

If James did require a day off following a Packer's game to some it may imply he may have an issue with alcohol especially if he was willing to forfeit the next days wages
Maybe he would take the “day” off from work so he could watch the Packers. Hard to watch the game while you are at work. Why do many assume it is to nurse a hangover?
Just sayin.

Websleuth Rules in part: Until then, please stay on topic, do not start discussing any other cases, and remember while Websleuths is first a true crime discussion forum a very close second is we are a victim friendly forum. 99.9% of the time we can easily be both. In Jayme's case, there is no reason to disparage the parents or Jayme. There is no evidence of any issues with Jayme's parents or with Jayme herself.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Ask any stalker. Unfortunately it’s not that hard to learn someone’s name and where they live in this day and age.

moo.

exactly. I just was reading an article about this that said four of the psychological factors that drive stalkers are delusion, need for control, vengefulness and lonerism. Once they have their target they can pretty much find out anything, and the obsessiveness only grows from there. It also states that "all stalkers are psychologically unstable, either delusional that the person is in love with them or with an undiagnosed psychosis that makes them fixated on somebody."

I have posted the link below..there are tons of articles on this but this one was the easiest to understand quickly....

I definitely think its possible that one of the three victims, through NO fault of their own (I can't make that any more clear), may have become the victim (whether they were aware or not) of a stalker and the stalkers behavior escalated into the unthinkable. Below is the link but its just very basic. I'm sure theres much more on this topic for anyone interested:

Fatal obsession: Why people turn into stalkers and how to recognise the signs

This occurred at 12:30 am. It's entirely possible the dog was crated for the night. Many people do that, especially if the dogs are young. We simply have no info about the dog other than in was recovered alive and taken to family members.

I agree with you, nothing wrong with taking a day off work. And yes, to others, it’s ok for people to drink beer and have a hangover. Seems like he had long term stable employment, so what he does with his days off is not for any to judge.

I think it's at a double (full-size) mattress which is 53" wide vs. a twin at 39" wide. Based on height of deck railing and the woman in the video.

Hadn't seen this one before. It looks like a double or wider. Worth noting that this is the deck door. Which makes me believe that the master bedroom is the room that adjoins the deck. And with the interest that LE was paying to the deck, on the first videos, that mom or Jayme or both had tried to run for it out the deck door.

I was wondering, too. It seems to high up off the ground to be a trampoline but this terrible map I made of the house and what appears to be the object (pointed out by
red arrow) does make it look like a round object. I think your guess is probably correct.
Thank you for creating the map, and sorry for the late reply - I managed to get seriously behind today! :)
Maybe he was working overtime on Sunday because he wanted to take Tuesday off. It's impossible to know what his schedule was, though. We can only guess at this point. Jmo
I had a similar thought, MsBetsy, that he may have traded shifts with someone and was working Sunday instead of Tuesday.

He wouldn't have to forfeit wages, necessarily. He could have made up the time. And Welcome to Websleuths, Intrigued.

I dont think it means anything but sometimes hazel can look blue or green depending on the environment and colors around them. Jmo
It's a funny thing but Genetics only recognizes 3 eye colors: Brown, Blue, and Green. " Hazel" must be decided as either blue, green or brown, usually by looking at the outer ring around the iris. :) ( or DNA sequencing if it's that important to someone).

I have green eyes AND I was also abducted. I never in a million years would have thought there was an possibly correlation but today's chatter about " rare green eyes" has kinda freaked me out.

Something I have noted is dad James liked football- I believe the Greenbay Packers was his favorite team. There was a person who said he would take the following day off from the game to recover. Sorry to bring up a previous discussion, but other thoughts come in and we are off on that tangent, so wanted to come back to that thought.

Packers.com, the official website of the Green Bay Packers

Looks like the Packers beat the 49ers on Monday night, 1o/15. The crime happened on Sunday night.

What was his work schedule? It matters a lot.

Would you mind sharing the source that says James took the day off after a football game? Thanks!

What different lifestyles we all live.
I find 'gun possession' discussed throughout the thread, most informative, as was not aware.
I have been shocked by all the gun totin' members as well, and I LIVE IN TEXAS! LOL.

Just a thought. There has been mention of the possibility of her having met someone on line. I’m wondering if she could have met someone through group text. Kids often have a group text with their friends. My kids have showed me before when someone they didn’t know would show up on the text- a friend would suddenly add someone from another school. This would then give this person access to the other children’s contact info. Once another parent texted my son asking him about something that had happened in school that day. I didn’t think that was appropriate. But parents can get access to their children’s friend’s numbers. Lots of ways an adult could have gotten her number and befriended her through text, maybe pretending to be another kid. It’s really hard to monitor everything that goes on with your children’s phones.

If they were in witness protection they wouldn’t have been at a family gathering. When you go into the program you literally leave your entire former life behind. Friends. Family. Everyone. Everything. So unless they were assigned new family members which I doubt cause how do you explain new people joining your family all of a sudden and da dolly... I think we can rule this notion out.

They also don't relocate you to .... where you've lived your entire life ...

I think the discussion may stem from this article posted yesterday.

Funeral held for James and Denise Closs in Cameron
“Jim [Closs] is the type that he is so much into the Packers that he would take off [work] if the Packers would play on Monday night,” said MR. He would take Tuesday off because he knows he would be too hungover to go to work.”

Haaaa. Excellent point. That’s not at all how it works.

chilling thought - are there many survivalists in the area?
I'm certain there are. Lots of 'different' types of people in central & northern Wisconsin. It seems a haven for people cut from different moulds.
