I agree he is doing a fine job. I'll never forget his press conferences. He was full of emotion and seemed to be shedding a few tears himself.
Heaven only knows what those men saw in that crime scene.
Probably enough to make a grown man cry!

When was the house cleaned up? Before or after the burglar was there?

Has LE stated DC/Jayme were seen on camera anywhere between the family gathering and the C home? Any receipts in DC car or handbag?

Do we know what time DC/Jayme arrived home?
Could the perp(s) been waiting for them in the house?

I would imagine there would be a lot of blood and they would have run through some. Hopefully there is a footprint.

Hard not to drop a hair. I wonder if they vacuum or how that works.

Very basic technology is deployed by the forensics team lol - you won’t believe it but it’s literally vacuuming by sellotape ! Seriously ! Well maybe not sellotape exactly but yes hairs etc and fibres are collected by utilising sticky tape and placing each piece onto a piece of clear Perspex.
That’s why it takes so long to process a Crime Scene. It’s a long and arduous process but can be very rewarding. Hence why the whole investigation is a team effort.

as i recall the clean up crew was spotted at the house of monday or tuesday and the breaking was friday night (technically saturday morning) so after.

I think its a little early to considerate it a cold case. I know it seems that they have exhausted all efforts to find her, but you never know when the right tip may turn out to be a lead. And don't forget those two vehicles are still out there somewhere. Jmo

No, not even by 5:00 pm today on Thursday. They are still reporting that they are waiting to notify kin before releasing any information about who the deceased person is. I'm sure Jayme's family could have been notified by now so I doubt it's Jayme. My condolences to the family who did lose a loved one though. I feel badly that they still apparently don't know what has happened yet.

Sorry - although I appreciate that I wrote this on your post, and subsequent it read as though I was referring to what you had written, I apologise because I should have really made it a post in itself as it wasn’t directed at your comment at all, i just read your post and I’ve been meaning to write this for a while to give everyone here an idea of all that’s taking place because there has been so much back and forth discussion over all the threads , dissecting every word of the 911 call log. So I just thought I would try to give some idea of all that’s actually taking place so that some of the questions can be answered and put to bed so to speak.
I understand what you were trying to convey and I appreciate it and although I’m sure you didn’t take it personally, I sincerely hope that you didn’t as it wasn’t meant that way. I’m at that menopausal age whereby if I don’t write it when I think of it, I forget about it until prompted, like I was by your post.

I do think we have to take into consideration the police were actually there reviewing the crime scene at the time they made the assessment James was shot opening the door and none of us were there.

They know why they believe this to be correct.

There are many ways they can come to that determination as they reviewed the crime scene.

I have no reason to believe they are incorrect.

I did not know that but I have had the idea they have been searching for a phone forever. Remember the first search down the highway. Then the 2000 search all around the Closs home. Now they are searching media. I think MOO is that they are having a tough time getting those phone records with NO PHONE! Another case I followed somebody in the know posted that information.

I have looked everywhere but cannot find an overhead map where I can look around for other houses. It's driving me batty because I see nothing but the Closs home and the neighbors next door. Any help with a link would be much appreciated!

Have you tried Google Earth or the U.S. Topo Maps app?

Also, Gray Hughes Investigates shows over head views of the Closs and Smrekar homes along Hwy 8 on this YouTube video (link below). I think on this one he says the homes are 230 yards apart, too far for the neighbor lady to see the Closs yard or Jayme get off the bus. There are thick woods in between. I also doubt she heard shots coming from the Closs home at 12:30 a.m. like she claims.

What kind of situation do they have in the Barron area? Do they have something in Barron or would Rice Lake be the closest place for a soup kitchen?

Meth heads would alienate all of their friends and relatives eventually. Where do the homeless go in the Barron area? Are there shelters?

I don't know about the Barren Area but in many rural places where everything is so spread out people have to drive or at least get a ride to any place that provides food. Where I live I only know of a few in churches and one in a Senior Center and they are all open on different days. In the city it's a whole different story. I volunteered in one in the city that was open every day and many, but not all, people walked.

I thought they could still get the cell phone data without the phone. Does it depend on the service or the actual phone?

Yes that was one of the thing mentioned. Le has to get a warrant for the cell phone company to release that information because it's ruled private information. With the hope Jayme is alive somewhere it might be double hard to get her cell phone records if she has one. She is entitled to her privacy according to the courts. Just thinking she might have to be missing a certain number of days before they can even file. Humm.

You actually can get all the text messages, Snapchat, WhatsApp Instagram etc data from the servers alongside call data , without personally being in possession of the phone ( in the U.K. because we don’t have the Amendment rights that you enjoy ).
But the mobile phone companies will only do this if it’s decreed a life or death situation.
However, what they can’t geg is data that’s saved to the phone as opposed to the SIM or the cloud .

If you use the Google Chrome browser, using The Google Earth program. You can do a search for Barron County, WI and see all kinds of stuff from an aerial view and move around the area with your mouse. You can zoom in and out etc.. The program only works using Chrome, so Firefox, Edge, Safari etc.. will not work. Click on the image for a enlarged photo
