All of this is so true. We go to casinos in Mississippi during the year. We play card games. We are close with all of the pit bosses who do an excellent job especially with customers they know by first name.

We know we are constantly under camera view. I remember just this past August I won a big hand where tax forms had to be filled out. Before leaving the table I looked up and waved with a thumbs up. Lol

Later my hubby and I were walking back to our room and one of the security managers stopped me to tell me how beautiful everyone in the camera 'sky' thought my outfit was. She said everyday I am there the women who work security always look forward to seeing my outfit for the day.

So they certainly watch every minute of what is happening on the casino floor at all times.

I am glad they do. It makes me feel more comfortable and safe. Even if you win big money they will offer to lock your winnings in their safe instead of using the one provided in the room.

However I think the only reason the casino was even mentioned is LE wanted their excellent camera footage showing the roadway that would show any vehicles passing on the main road around the time this happened.

It's nice to be able to get help with "eyes to the sky". If it was a guy that was complimenting you would it freak you out at all?

If everyone is too frightened to talk, that usually means they have knowledge of some kind...which usually means LE knows as much as they do, in small towns. LE prides themselves on knowing the scene and the bad guys in their towns and counties. So I can’t really imagine what this great fear is, other than generic fear of a horrible crime. Everyone is afraid when a terrible crime happens, but how does that stop one reporting actual knowledge if you have it?

If you know who the killer is, they likely know that you know already, so you are already in danger. The safest thing is to get your info to LE. But I don’t get the feeling anyone has any real knowledge or evidence to impart. No one is bragging about this kind of crime, imo.

Could neighbors and people be being told to not do a million interviews. Jayme has been missing, about a month? If she is alive her kidnappers shouldn't know what police know or suspect.

All trash areas from the plant and their town must be searched. Why there hasn't been a landfill search as of yet is beyond me!

I live within about twenty miles of four casinos, one of them is very much closer. Hope I am not murdered or go missing...I guess it would be presumed I had racked up debts?

No. Lol in fact many of the pit bosses are men and I receive very nice compliments from them and men we dont know sitting at our table. Most of the time we sit at one table for many hours. Over the years I have been given compliments by many men and women.

The men seemed intrigued by my long fingernails. Lol they ask me if they are real and of course I say 'yes' they are my real nails.

The women want to know the name of the nailpolish I use. So they asks different things and are friendly and respectful.

There have been occasions I have felt uncomfortable and some men who seem to want to set too close but most are not that way probably because they know the staff will come down and deal with them.

We have really met many nice men and women over the years. What can damper everything is to have a loud rude man or woman or couple at the table and its even worse if they are drunk.

It spoils it for everyone but most of the time the casino will have someone come down from management to talk with them.

Imo

I found it discouraging that Fitzgerald seems to be entertaining "psychics" in this case. No offense to those of you who do believe in that sort of thing, but those comments alone tells me LE really has nothing to go on.

He doesn't find tips like " she's in a barn " helpful... but some "psychic " telling him to look by a body of water prompts LE to go look at bodies of water ?

Wow. Color me frustrated and confused.
I think LE often just gives lip service to that so that they are not accused of not following any and all avenues to solve the case. From the comments I read that he made (maybe not the same ones you are talking about idk) he didn't seem to be taking it very seriously.

Someone had mentioned many posts ago that James might have won a big casino jackpot. Their theory was that someone could have observed and followed him home to see where he lived. The casino would have known both from the cameras and the tax report that he would have had to fill out if he won a jackpot. And the cameras would show anyone in the area who might have been observing him when he won.

Where has it been said there was shooting through the door?

Early on it was said by family members to the media before they went quiet. Pictures of the door show damage so it was violently breached by force whether by gunshot, kicking or battering ram. Someone went through the door by force.

I prefer not to think about people I can't see watching me.

On a Sunday nearly one month ago, Jennifer Smith held a birthday party for her grandson at her Barron, Wisconsin home. Jennifer’s sister Denise Closs, who lived just a couple of miles away, came to the party with her husband Jim and their 13-year-old daughter, Jayme.

Haven’t we been told James was NOT at the family party??

I'm way behind so you guy probably already discussed this but they corrected the article to say James was not there he was at work.

This falls in line with a question I had about his Dryden interview. Fitzgerald said he has (or is working on) a timeline of their whole week leading up to this night. Someone asked a question about that day and he said he knows about the party, what time they left, and where they went afterward. (Clearly speaking of Jayme and Denise). He says something to the effect of, theres no reason to release that days timeline because theres nothing the public could offer from it that would help the case. But then....someone asks if James was at the casino that day and he says he dont know. ?? If he has a timeline, does it not include James? If not, why? If it does include James, did 'I dont know' mean the same as 'no comment'? He surely has a yes or no answer to that question.
My guess is the I don't know meant, as you say, "no comment" or i can't tell you. At least I hope so because if he actually doesn't know that would be very concerning.

I don't gamble. So, IMOO the 1st time i read the 911 log, the mention of gong to the casino, I assumed it was because an officer for a special LE team worked there on the security team. LE was having a hard time reaching tht person by phone & someone was sent to get them. Video did cross my mind as did the possibility an important member of LE being there for their own reasons. Maybe that was a naive thought. MOO

There's also the possibility that there's nothing for them to know. As much as I hate having cameras pointed at me, I know I wouldn't want to go on national television just to say that I don't know anything. Until I hear otherwise, or see convincing proof, I'm going to believe what everybody who knew them says: they were warm, friendly, helpful people who didn't deserve the deaths they received. I also choose to believe that Jayme is/was a quiet, friendly, helpful and busy young girl who did nothing to bring about her abduction or the death of her parents. If it turns out that I'm wrong, I'll readily admit it, but for now I'm sticking with this. MOO
What is odd is that no one besides the family & dance teacher has said anything publicly
about interacting with the family in the days /weeks leading up to the crime . Not even a co-worker confirming that they saw James working on Sunday. IMO.

when the family was speaking about returning to the house they said it left even more questions, if I got that part as I think I did. it would be a cleaned up scene but there must have been some things that seem odd even knowing what the end result was. moo

Are they supposed to go back and look for anything that could be missing or out of place?

I don't think that, maybe so, I don't know. it just sounded like something puzzled them even though they knew in general what had happened there.

if it is a sudden ambush why aren't dad and mom just shot in their bed or near their bed? why would someone come in like it seems, fast and LOUD, why not just quiet and precise?

I get hung up at different points each time I try to reason this whole thing out. today I am hung up at the front door, that is where it seems the first violent contact was made I cant move on from there without understanding at least some part of it.

Something brought him to the door. IMO they either knocked or made a bunch of noise trying to kick the door in. Whoever it was probably was not an experienced cat burglar and didn't know how to go in quietly if the doors where locked. I know I would have no idea how to get into a locked house quietly.

Or they might not have cared how much noise they made going in the front door ?....... I have wondered if they left with Jayme through the front door or the side deck doors ?

It seems rare I agree. That rare move when the sheriff held that town hall meeting, closed to the media insyred that IMOO. I will always wonder what was said. But, i can imagine he explained why it's a bad idea to yammer to media. At first i thought maybe he gave examples of media gone wild. Doubtful. Its a positive sign IMO. We don't want Jayme to be in further danger bc some idiot decided to blabber on MSM. Unfortunately, the statistics are NOT good at this point.

It seems a lot of embezzling is because of gambling, Gambling can destroy families. That is really horrible.
I know a young woman that was convicted of embezzling $30,000 to support her gambling addiction. Would never have thought her doing that. I was stunned.
