You ever play SOCOM? Most of the game is planning an attack and carrying it out. Even missions that require you to extract a person.
A gamer? There's a thought. That would lead me to believe this person is anywhere from late teens to early 30's.

Taking it even further - if this is a gamer, could this be another possible motive? That is, this person or persons select a house where they act out an extraction? Quite a bit far fetched but more believable than aliens from another planet abducting Jayme.

Imo none of the three victims are to blame for what happened to them.

I havent seen any evidence released by the proper authorities that has supported any of the three brought this on.

I tend to agree with you, however, why doesn’t LE state that Jayme was abducted?

I’m not blaming the victims, but if LE doesn’t believe any of the victims were involved or brought this on in any way, why don’t they say so?

I agree completely...

The latest from Fitzgerald... was that an actual interview?? Or series of prepared statements from both sides.. he doesn’t seem to be doing ton of interviews if any..

If u follow first 24 hours.. calling fbi than later 4 teams going over Crime scene..
Watch his old cases.. I think he’s good.. don’t think perps left him much.. and might take 6/10 months to get break or somebody to talk.

Ohio was 8 people killed... took them over a year.. had to be 5x the evidence in this case
After I seen the DM video I figured it was clips and verbiage taken from another source. But if thats true, I have not been able to locate it. Its odd how they put it out there though. Im glad he does do the podcasts, too, but why exclude the everyday news that all the people watch? If I didnt follow this site, I would miss alot of those, moreless hidden, gems. It just makes me wonder if theres a reason for it. Its one of those times when - when there is nothing, every little thing feels like a big deal. Its out of the ordinary from what Im use to seeing so it got me thinking. Idk. moo.

Think about the attacks where perpetrators trained with video games. A diseased mind sees something they like and then acting it out in real life becomes the ultimate goal.

I’ve been following this feed for a bit and finally made an acct. I have a a simple question bc I’ve seen/heard conflicting reports so please excuse me if these have already been answered.
Was dad shot thru the storm door, actual door?
There has been no confirmation by LE that James was shot through either door.

Who says it's unfamiliar. It might very well have been someone who knew the Closs family. And even might have been at their home at some point in time.
And there is also night vision gear. I wonder if the door usually would have been unlocked. If so, it could have been a different scenario, in which the perp would have gotten into the parents bedroom totally unnoticed.

Does anyone know what the hunters who hunt at night use? Do they have some sort of night vision equipment?

Most wild game is illegal to be hunted between sundown and dawn, although many hunters will be on their stand before the sun comes up. The only night hunting I'm familiar with is hunting raccoons or bullfrog gigging. In the case of raccoon hunting we wore inexpensive headlamps that ran off a battery pack on our belt so we had both hands free. Some duct taped a flash light under the barrel of a .22 rifle as a secondary light. Most hunters aren't going to be sophisticated enough to buy thermal imaging equipment.

There are many small tactical lights that can be attached under a rifle or shotgun or even some handguns that have rails in the receiver. Going to a dark house at night, I can see that. These lights are bright enough to blind someone and cause them to freeze while they turn their head or close their eyes giving the shooter an advantage.

There are photos of the glass door being taken as evidence with the glass intact, if that helps. The wooden door has still not been factually verified by LE as shot through, but there is a great deal of speculation about that.

Im curious about Fitzgeralds communication tactics. Typically news like this case goes through local media outlets. This is the first time I have seen LE use under-the-radar podcast interviews as well as have video chats with tabloids, all while not continuing to talk to the reputable local and national news. The last tweet I can find from Paul Blume, who once was all over this case, is right before Thanksgiving and it was simply a recap of what was already stated. In one interview the sheriff says its important to keep the case focused in the media, so why isnt he doing these types of interviews with more popular sources? Ive always felt he sends subliminal messages in these interviews, but is he utilizing these sources knowing he will reach certain people? Or why? I dont think it would necessarily bother me as much if these interviews were in addition to say a word once in awhile with CBS, Fox, NBC, etc. or even a news personality, like Paul, who was once providing consistency through Twitter. Im also curious about the silence of the families, particularly Jim's, and wish I understood why. If this was my sister, and I truly didnt know what happened or where her child was, I would be pleading with anyone and everyone I could for help. Jmho.

Maybe because MSM isn't asking for interviews. He's also smart enough to know that the perp and a lot of other people like us will be looking for anything related to the case online. I'm beginning to think they have a POI, but no evidence yet.

Also sometimes LE should refute rumors and speculation if it shines a poor light on the victims, rather than just ignoring them. The more rumors that go unchecked, the more the public begins to believe they have merit, imo.

But...the lack of anything stolen still points only to targeted for me. Short on time or not, I can’t imagine leaving behind visible items of value, especially cash.

There’s a reason I ask this. If dad was shot thru the door, then a pistol wasn’t used unless the killer(s) had X-ray vision. Shot thru storm door, pistol possible but if it were me, I’d want more bang for my buck. Shotguns are best used for home defense for this reason. 8-10 projectiles vs 1.

A comment was made that wallets and valuables were visible. Were they all laid out together like they had been gathered?

I live way down south and our storm doors are much like ur car windows when broken. They crack but won’t shatter. You know, hurricanes and all here.

Yes, that is what I was thinking. If this is the case, that leads to the possibility that the killer(s) have no personal connection to the Closs family, but rather they could have selected the house and family because it met certain criteria. And now that I'm thinking further on this scenario, this house looks like a pre-fabricated home. If that is the case the need to be familiar with the Closs home decreases. If the killer(s) have access to a similar home in the area they simply do a walk through at that similar house. Of course, you still don't know where the furniture is located, but you can minimize that problem by not going any farther than 5 feet into the house.

Not stated that they were. Just that they were still there.

Fitzgerald has talked about this. He said that saying she is "missing and endangered" vs saying "abducted" is basically the same thing. LE just can't put her as abducted in the system until they know for certain that this is true.

He has said that he can't say with 100% certainty that she wasn't involved. But that they also have no reason to believe that she was.

Basically, they are stumped. So they are open to all possibilities.

LE knows more than they are telling, guaranteed! They can’t/won’t show all their cards. They can and will mislead at times in hopes someone gets too comfortable and messes up.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm in the deep south, as well. The glass was not cracked that you could tell in the photo that I saw, especially not in the way of that tempered glass way that I think you mean. I think if you go back to one of the page 1's of the threads, you might be able to see one of those pictures.

One thing I do not understand since dad owned firearms, why not grab one prior to going to the door if there was a disturbance? I had my crazy neighbor bang on my door at 2am and the first thing I did was grab the pistol off my nightstand. Had someone trying to break in at 1am, grabbed the shot gun and aimed for the door with finger on the trigger.
