Do we know for sure there aren’t posters?

There may be on a bulletin board inside a business. I have no idea. Some of this stemmed from me. I am saying if you walk in a gas station (I only went in one), and head for the bathroom and then look through the rows to grab a pop and snack, I saw nothing that would tell me (if I had not heard) that a big crime with a missing child occurred. And there is nothing on Highway 8 that caught my attention all the way across from MN. And in that case I was paying attention. Let's get her a billboard!

I apologize if someone answered this already. Wisconsin has public court records. Enter either parents name and you will come up with a probate case. You can find more info and chronological events there, along with the executor/named sibling, GAL, attorney who filed and judge, etc. It is a sister in each family for their respective brother's/sister's estate.
Thank you. Appreciate the info...

Billboards are expensive, The billboard company domated billboards. I forget the name of the company but they were huge,

There should be fliers up in all kinds of businesses. Maybe they could contact the Jacob Wetterling foundation. I think it is out of Wisconsin now. They need help with publicity.

This case perplexes me. I know the most likely explanation is the one that requires the least imagination.

So then I think...

-Someone was mad at a Closs family member and attacked them. Maybe Jayme’s parents sacrificed themselves so she could escape. If she was injured, she could have succumbed to her injuries and just hasn’t been found yet due to the nature of the rural land. Or the perps chased her and overtook her, possibly even as LE was searching the house and trying to make sense of what happened there. If this is the case, they wouldn’t likely let her live as she has just witnessed a heinous crime.

- Someone was obsessed with Jayme and felt it was necessary to dispose of the parents in order to be with her. Either because the perp felt the parents could guess their identity if they were allowed to live...or because they wanted Jayme to feel alone in the world as a way to manipulate her.

But, sure, I have considered more outlandish possibilities.

Meth rings, for example.

I even stopped to wonder, outlandishly, if Jayme could have survived and police put her in witness protection to try and prevent the vicious killers from hunting her down. But that seems outrageously unlikely given that they did eventually release an Amber Alert. So those top two less imaginative theories are where I land.

I meant a billboard like near the bathroom in a gas station with regard to posters. I can say in MN bathre

My general billboard remark was the small ones in gas stations that are generally by the bathrooms as you wait in line. As for one on maybe Highway 8 outside, a big one, well many have offered on other sites to contribute to a larger reward. I just thought the same could be done for a highway billboard. With the Wetterling case, it has been compared and yet there are no similarities except as to how it was handled that I have read. The parents were not killed, the guilty one was let go early on and ended up decades (?) later being the guilty one and they have hindsight in how they handled it and how they wish they had. Worth listening to I would think. Two other boys were witnesses, etc. It did not occur in the home. No other similarities.

I’ve been looking back on previous threads- is there anything that indicates that Jayme was actually there when her parents were killed or is there a possibility that she disappeared earlier (after family gathering)?

Home could mean anywhere ... at home could mean in basement or garage arguing or just in basement garage doing whatever...

Phone picking up her voice in garage or driveway ... who knows..

Maybe she was on Netflix 12.52 ... dunno

I think someone may have just knocked on the door. And when Jim went to answer it, they shot him through the door repeatedly. Meanwhile, his wife dials 911 and maybe hands off the phone to Jayme (telling her to hide) while mom goes for the gun or tries to help her husband which puts her right in the path of the perp.

Maybe Jayme hides with the phone, but she realizes when the perp enters the room that the noise coming from the phone (such as the operator’s voice) will give away her location to the perp so she shuts the phone off herself.

The two young curious girls repeatedly driving past the crime scene, were known to LE at the scene, and told to "Go home."
I think in the dispatch log they were even identified if i remember correctly?

Sadly, another thought is that even though it is good 911 calls back on a hang up call, it can alert perp(s) that 911 has been called if they hear the phone ring and to a spot someone is hiding that they did not know was there if someone was scared to death and trying to contact them silently and not speak. Just another random thought today. That is not judging anyone, often connecting will keep the victims in touch and the perp may flee and probably more often that is the case. Prayers to the family and may she come home safely.

What is wrong with these people in this community? It seems they have no care? I can't believe they don't have posters up for this sweet little girl. I find it SHAMEFUL.
James came home from work and he was shot! So what happened at work?? Doesn't that make you wonder?!
If you look at the Family Facebook "abducted" page ( It is public and it is not a place to discuss theories ) you will see that there is very much the opposite going on. Lots of fundraisers, shirts, bracelets, recent pictures and more.

That is a very informative tool. I wonder who Charles G. is?

Cheyenne and JLR. I read JLR was a minor that's why only initials were used.

I definitely wondered the same thing at first.

If he might be after a trophy/momento post-crime.

Or if he even could be holding her and have come back for clothing to give her. Obviously this makes no sense, but if this person is truly not well, then I wouldn’t expect it to make sense.

The fact that LE cleared him makes me think that he has an airtight alibi and is a known entity around town. But still...I hope they are watching him just in case.
If he was holding her it’s not good for Jayme unless he has / had an accomplice helping to sustain her with food and water. He spent time in custody for this offence and I’m not even sure he’s been released as yet (he may have been but I’ve not heard either way).

A bit different of a subject and forgive me if it has already been discussed but I have not seen it. Is there anyone on here that knows about death, rigor mortis, food in the stomach and how accurately those sorts of things can give a time of death? Or even a time of injury? It is something that crosses my mind on occasion with the difference in the neighbors' account and that of LE, or four minutes versus 1/2 an hour or longer, etc. How accurate these days can they be? I have no idea, just wondering if anyone does.

This was hotly debated in the JonBenet Ramsey case. If you google that case and the pineapple in her stomach I’m sure you’ll learn a lot that may be helpful. Keep in mind that case took place in the 90s (?) so info maybe a little behind current technology.

I would still like to know why no petition for even a temporary legal guardian. she is 13 and has had no legal guardian or representative for the last 74 days.

the girls from the log? LE got their names and info. I don't see any way he could be one of them
I just got to thinking about these girls again. About a month ago I was looking into all of this and really came up with nothing. I just figured that for whatever reason they were in the area, they came across a lot of police activity and were curious, I would be too. Since they most likely couldn't just stop the car, they kept driving by.

Since it has been brought up again, I hope I am correct in saying that because they kept driving by, LE would have investigated them and possibly even checked they're phone records to make sure that they were not some kind of a "Look out "

Do we know their ages for sure?

concerns me that they could be involved in some way if not involved they could have seen something too. we know when they were told to leave but we don't know when they were first there
