concerns me that they could be involved in some way if not involved they could have seen something too. we know when they were told to leave but we don't know when they were first there
You never know, maybe that is where the first vehicle descriptions came from

Obviously they were stopped and questioned because they have their info

I mentioned many odd things above and as we know there are many more. Another one is the girls driving by. I remember for some reason in the beginning this was thought to be a girl and a boy not two girls. Now it is said it is two girls. I just do not get that. Where were they coming from at that age at 1 or 2 in the morning? This, to me, might be the oddest thing in some ways. And why keep driving by? Were they looking for or knew the perps? Were they looking for Jayme to pick her up, did she run for the road? It may be nothing and again, not accusing them, I just find it odd. Panty thiefs, young teens driving by the scene to the point they are told to leave, the perp(s) apparently never passing any LE and lucking out... This is one sad and tragic case no doubt but it is also one very odd case. jmo.

This has ALWAYS bothered me! I have not really seen it talked about that much either... or I really missed something.

Why were they driving past SO MANY TIMES?
What did they know?
How did they know police were there?
Who were these girls?

Questions that I believe should be answered since they were there within minutes of police getting there!
.

According to the dispatch log, one was 18 and one was 17
Thanks. That does make it a little more odd that—at that age—they were out passing a crime scene repeatedly. At this time of night, it seems a parent might have prevented this. But who knows? Maybe their parent worked night shift and they were alone and got curious about what was going on too.

Any chance they were family and were out looking for her/calling for her?

I think in the dispatch log they were even identified if i remember correctly?
They were identified with name, dob, and addresses One was a minor, the other one 18
ETA. The minor was identified by initials only

Probably just cruising, saw all the flashing lights, and wondering what was going on.........

Cumberland and Barron are 19 miles away, right? That’s honestly not what I was expecting. I thought maybe they lived down the road and heard the sirens.

Do we know what time those girls were stopped? Was it right after or much later after the story had started to leak out?

911 call was at 00:53:26. Reference to women being asked to leave was at 02:08:50.

So they had already driven by multiple times within an hour of when LE identified 2 bodies down. Hmmm

And do we have any indication of whether they are related to the family and could have potentially been part of a network called while LE looked for the missing girl?

The two young curious girls repeatedly driving past the crime scene, were known to LE at the scene, and told to "Go home."
I have to wonder if, since LE knew the girls, LE could have dismissed any involvement and just sent them on their way without searching the trunk or car or asking any questions.

I have never heard or read any indication that LE knew the girls

Is there any indication when the family was notified? Or who in the family was notified?

I just got to thinking about these girls again. About a month ago I was looking into all of this and really came up with nothing. I just figured that for whatever reason they were in the area, they came across a lot of police activity and were curious, I would be too. Since they most likely couldn't just stop the car, they kept driving by.

Since it has been brought up again, I hope I am correct in saying that because they kept driving by, LE would have investigated them and possibly even checked they're phone records to make sure that they were not some kind of a "Look out "
I also "hope" that they were investigated and not just dismissed.

if you don't like the log sideways here is another link that has a large part of the log at the bottom of the page and it isn't sideways.
