What is wrong with these people in this community? It seems they have no care? I can't believe they don't have posters up for this sweet little girl. I find it SHAMEFUL.
James came home from work and he was shot! So what happened at work?? Doesn't that make you wonder?!

I don't think this means there is something wrong with the people in town.
It's the electronic age. Maybe they are depending on that to get her face,and word out there.
You can get worldwide coverage that way. Reach more people.

If I were looking for a loved one in my family, I’d be out on every media outlet, printing and hanging posters and being much more vocal.

The family and friends also encourage people to hang posters when traveling at every gas station and rest stop when they travel anywhere, which is a great idea. They do plenty. I just do not understand why the home county or main routes do not have billboards and such or an area business or two take the lead and do so and request donations if necessary. Maybe they do not want this crime pointed out and perhaps for good reason but as you said, with someone missing you have to put her face out there and not just on the internet if you want her found... I don't know, there is probably some very good reason this is not done but I sure do not fathom what that may be...

Are FB and LE able to view a log of who all might have viewed her Facebook page?

I know that Search Warrants for her SM would show with whom all she might have communicated or been friends with, but does FB have a log per say that they can share with LE who all views a certain Facebook user’s page? I don’t recall any reference to this from past cases.

Here’s another thought, were any of her recital videos, etc ever posted on YouTube? Sorry if already mentioned. (Ugh so creepy to even think about this, I know people who post their children’s recitals, etc all the time on the web...).

What I think would be more beneficial... and I don’t know if u can do this...

Is Jan 1 2010 to Oct 15th 2018. Search history and viewing history on Facebook google Instagram...for any closs family members..

Give me every hit in that time frame... if it’s not grandma/friend or other... there’s a point to pursue...

Unless it’s totally random.. has to be some digitial trail out there..

Above my pay grade ...and might take dealing with actual cos... but I would pursue the pre crime digital tracks...

JMO but THAT'S what we're waiting on -- one of THOSE people to come forward with the tip that breaks this wide open. Then cars will make sense, surveillance videos will make sense, digital and physical footprints will make sense, the weapons, the motive, all the ugly details. We need that ONE PERSON to come forward with that ONE TIP so LE can put all its resources to bear, to bring some kind of justice for Jayme. I had hoped that the appeal from Jayme's aunt would niggle the conscience of someone who knows something....
I simply cannot fathom the pain her family is feeling... waiting, worrying. Somehow may the new year bring a flurry of tips to bring this sweet girl home.

agreed...someone knows something, they always do. Even if this person is a loner, there's most likely still something someone else knows. The Unabomber lived in extreme remoteness yet still communicated (via letters) with his brother and sister-in-law and that was the nail in the coffin. i do hope someone is brave enough to send in a tip soon. I know it's scary, i know a lot of people stay quiet out of fear which i do sympathize with. But please please do the right thing...

I recall the sheriff saying that they would find Jayme, and I thought at the time, don't promise something you may not deliver on. At this point, I find it quite discouraging that the police and FBI have come up with zero leads to follow. And I don't believe they are holding back or pretending they don't have leads. They should be basically starting over with a new team and investigate more thoroughly every single sex offender and violent natured person in town. I see they are advertising for a 'death investigator'! Wonder if it is directly related to the Closs case.

I’m still trying to play ‘catch up’ in this case, and have a couple of questions:

(A) A driver reportedly said she was in the black SUV (1/2 ‘vehicles of interest’) at the time of the incident. Is this more or less confirmed? If so, has the other vehicle (car) also been eliminated?

(B) What is the relation to the casino in this? I have seen it in the report that security there was contacted, but am unclear why - after the child was kidnapped.

I also believe I read that the initial search radius was 14 or 15 miles — which would have coincided with the casino’s distance.

Why Jayme wasn’t killed inside the house is the most stymying part. I know the investigators believe she was in the house (I believe that may be something from the 911 call) but, in trying to make sense of it, is trying to find a way that is possible, that Jayme was in the house. You would think there would be footprints in the blood if the perp(s) went through the front door of the home to drag her out, or she would have stepped through it if a gun was pointed at her and was forced out the front door.

So two theories, and both involve the deck on the side of the home.

1) The screen door off the deck might be another entry or exit point. No word one from the dispatch report if it was opened or closed or locked when first responders arrived. The door off the deck could be a way she could exit (as I recall, her bedroom was close to that area) and was caught in the yard.

2) Two people were involved. One breached the front door. The other was stationed on the deck.

My opinion only.

I'm thinking at least two perps, but I'm including the garage as a point of entry in addition to the front door.

They were said to be a big deal and only those makes, models, etc. Now that has been somewhat backed away from and yet they still exist on posters and such.

With regard to B, No one is sure there is any connection. The call to them could have been for video camera footage or it could have been for something else. Since it is nearby and draws people to town and has security cameras, imo it could have been any of those reasons. Or all of them. The search initially did seem to center in that direction and only that far...

Quite honestly, little is known by the public and theories are thrown about, the casino is one. I rule nothing out although there are a few I think unlikely.

When Kyle Jankins was arrested... and later cleared ... the first thing they said was no car so he’s not our guy... which was odd to be that certain....

Is it possible that on the 911 call they hear a car start in closs driveway ?? The door is open/off the hinge...

I’m just thinking if u hear distant yelling.. u might hear car ignition and if u do ..that would be great reason to contact mfg to confirm ignition sound..

I dunno... seems odd to rule someone out that coulda borrowed car... and why are u certain there was a car ??

So there is a 1268 US 8 address in AMERY WI which is 26 mi. away from 1268 US 8 in BARRON. Straight down the highway. Does anyone think it’s possible that it WAS actually mistaken identity and Barron address used instead of the other? Maybe this has already been talked about but I was just looking around for grain silos , etc.. and googled the first part of the address and came up with that other address. Did not realize.....I’m sure this is not news to LE ....

Also—in the very early days of the investigation LE asked for camera footage between Barron and Amery. I assumed it was because it was the opposite direction from the way the cops came to the Closs residence....

exactly...it's all just so unclear. which i understand is part of keeping certain things just for LE's knowledge plus they themselves don't even have much to go on. but are those two cars really of interest or not? i honestly don't know. and who knows about the casino. to be honest i'm not even solid on anything other than what's in the 911 log and the fact that two adults are dead and a teenager is missing.

Some other info that's come out even from Fitz himself has seemed a little contradictory so i'm not holding on to much in this case aside from the bare facts. (And I mean no offense at all to Fitzgerald, i truly think he's doing the best he can and asking for help, but i haven't been able to connect some of the things he's said. For example- horrible gruesome scene but also instant death, no DNA recovered, and perp wasn't more than 5 ft in home. Both could be true of course but on the surface it's hard to grasp)

one shot outside door takes James / one right inside takes Denise ... both head shots .. gruesome and instant... one step in perp hears baron wi 911 what’s ur emergency and he’s gone ... I think other Sluethers are correct 911 call ruined the evidence from building up...

In fairness to Fitzgerald... one year ago home invasion and murder by 3 people due to nasty divorce ... he had text / calls info and case wrapped up in about 3 days ...

It would be nice if we knew why he was cleared, what the alibi was for the night of the murders, etc. I too think not owning a car means nothing. I won't hold my breath that we will see that information anytime soon

for sure. and i really didn't want to come across as critical of FItz, my point was more that the crime itself as a whole is confusing and right now i only feel comfortable with the basics.
