She didn't just talk to the press when they were outside her home. She invited them in and posed for pictures and interviews. She called in to publicly talk to the sheriff even though he already had the information. I watched the interview on the DM site and in that she said they were in bed and she had to shake her husband and ask if that was a gun shot but at another point she says they weren't in bed because they had just gotten home. They also talk about the helicopters going over and he says "its uncomfortable" then tries to fix that statement by adding oh no really uncomfortable but blah blah. It seems like one will say something then the other will try to correct it or make it sound better.

I did not see it, but interviews leave out a lot. They film for a long time and then splice stuff together.

I have been interviewed by the media in the past, and that is what happened every time.

Really?? It was the feds or so it was said that they told her her clock was off--maybe they did not interview her but the way i recall it they told her her clock was off... which i took to mean they did both, interview and tell her that...

I can't ever recall either the Sheriff or the FBI telling the Smrekar's that their clock was off? However i do recall Mrs Smrekar saying that the FBI told her that the only word heard on the 911 call was 'help' - is this possibly what some of us are thinking of?

It was in the DM article. She says the sheriff told her that her clock was off in the video and in the text it says they told her they heard someone yell help on the call.

I can't ever recall either the Sheriff or the FBI telling the Smrekar's that their clock was off? However i do recall Mrs Smrekar saying that the FBI told her that the only word heard on the 911 call was 'help' - is this possibly what some of us are thinking of?

I will be honest--I never watched them on "video" until recently. I do know what articles said and people "quoted". I also know the call log shows no apparent contact with them unless there was and it is not noted by name or address. It was kind of like the story that went straight to Radar about overall man. This case from day one had so many Wetterling references it was odd. I never accessed the rags(?), other than to read what was shared.

I remember reading a few days ago ( I think it was on this thread) about a woman reporting a strange encounter with a man at fast food place not far from Jaime’s home. Her teenage daughter was with her and this stranger who was sitting alone just started talking to them about how someone could have girls buried in many states and not get caught.

She didnt report it until after she read that Jamie was missing. The FBI asked her if she would recognize his voice.

Today there is a report of a man resembling BG in the Delphi murders (Abby and Libby).
He was arrested for sexual assault of a young girl. He is not being called a suspect for Abby and Libby at this time. There is a voice recording of BG.

Its a long shot, but could they be connected?
BG seems to “hunt” his prey in the woods. He is comfortable there. Lots of woods around Jaime’s home.

Just my thoughts. I havent read of any LE publicly connecting these two cases.

Someone made yesterday what seemed like probably a very innocuous remark but it got me thinking. And I went back to first instincts (before we knew anything, and quite honestly we still don't)... And I have been on the same page it took me onto all day today and yesterday... It isn't the best thing, it isn't the worst thing, but it turned into a bigger thing... Just talking out loud... Things can snowball...

I would have to really look but as far as the guy you are talking about at the fast food place, I believe it was determined the it was all made up. I believe the woman even confessed.

I cannot even confirm it is their house but I feel it is [...] IF it is their house, between the two pics, it encompasses a fair amount of the kitchen area. The cabinets and flooring, door, etc. seem to fit the date.

I was thinking they found the address so fast because they said they received Denise's voicemail when they called back... Its possible she uses her first and last name on the voicemail especially if she did as much charity and volunteer work as it seems she did. With a first and last name from the voicemail I would think they could quickly pull up her address.

I don't know whether this works, but brainstorming and all...

...what if he/she/they grabbed Jayme first, and were on the way out the door with her when James and Denise heard the commotion and ran to help her? So maybe James was trying to yank the door open to get at Jayme when he was shot? And Denise was trying to call 911 but was shot before the call completed, and fell on the phone, causing it to disconnect?

Marvel of editing? They didn't edit his sentences. He clearly says "If i'm only in your house four minutes and I only step 5 feet in" on camera, not edited, from his mouth.

That's the point.
It wasn't from an interview with the DM. That particular information was taken out of context from an interview where he was explaining why there may or may not be DNA information. I haven't re-found that particular interview, but it was given as a hypothetical and was NOT in any way saying they had evidence to those specifics.
