Just getting word about this prayer service to bring #JaymeCloss home safely. Tonight at 7pm. Just down road from the girl's hometown of Barron. At St. Peter Catholic Church in Cameron, WI.

Sheriff reinstates his statement from earlier that if it does not come from him or the podium, it's not relevant.

‘We want to bring Jayme home:’ Investigators release new pictures of missing 13-year-old girl

“On Tuesday, he declined to elaborate as to why investigators believe Jayme is not a runaway, saying that disclosing more information would compromise their investigation.

“I’m telling you, Jayme is missing and endangered,” Fitzgerald said.”

Snip

“"Often, someone in the community will have knowledge of a crime and may not realize it," he said. "Individuals who commit acts of violence may display changes in their behavior and individuals around that person may observe those changes."“

Jayme was last seen at a family gathering Sunday afternoon, Fitzgerald said. Her grandfather, Robert Naiberg, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that nothing seemed amiss at the gathering, which was to celebrate the birthday of a grandson who is cousins with Jayme.
“She was quiet as always. She was a quiet girl,” he said. Naiberg, 72, said his daughter, Denise Closs, and Jayme attended the party, and that his son-in-law, James Closs, was working and couldn’t make it. He described his daughter as “thoughtful person” who brought “a little gift for everybody” at the party.
The FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are helping in the search. An Amber Alert was issued without a description of a suspect or vehicle. Meanwhile, deputies searched the area around the family’s home with drones and infrared equipment and talked to Jayme’s friends and middle school classmates, hoping to develop some leads.
Sheriff: Missing Wisconsin Teenager in Danger, Not A Runaway
Note: I feel so badly for this grandfather as he begins to speak of Jayme in past tense. May he be comforted with the surrounding of his family and community.

Sheriff again reiterating that *official* info only comes from his Barron Co office. Other info & speculation NOT considered credible. That seems to dismiss the idea #JaymeCloss is/was in Miami.

Loose transcript...

Reporter: Can you please respond, Miami Police tweeted this morning. Can you respond to that?

Sheriff: Yes, we followed up on that tip. The information did not come from this podium. It is not credible information.

No updates. Just a show of support from local administration.

  • #391
Well that was the most 'nothing' briefing ever.

When asked if they know about the cell phone, Sheriff responded: "We have identified that cell phone." He said he was not able to comment on whose cell phone that is.

Miami is not credible.

Any word on traffic cameras in the area?
I-94 would be the closest interstate. So many country roads leading out and around Barron.

I hope no one jumps to conclusions and tries to analyze the grandfather talking about Jayme in the past tense!

  • #399
So... no autopsy results. No new information.

No autopsies yet. Doesn't know how long "he" had been dead.
There was a gun at the scene, not saying if it was used?
Dang it,
Chi "not classifying as anything other than she is missing and endangered"
