I wish they could tell us if they knew whether the vehicles of interest had both front and back license plates. 31 states, including Wisconsin have front and back plates, while 19 states, most importantly Michigan, have only rear plates.
Great fact to remember.

Press conference was as expected. Sheriff is working with very little. Vehicles of interest likely came from eyewitness accounts of vehicles in the area of the Closs home or the Jennie o plant in the days around the murders. Unfortunately these cars are quite common across the US.
I thought he said the cars were from video from local businesses and home cams?I didn't hear him mention the factory or casino.

There’s missing questions on here, but I think the answers surmise what the questions were.

Three vehicles?! Jesus.
Not three vehicles. Those are only stock vehicle photos. They think it’s an orange or reddish orange 2008-14 Dodge Challenger or a black Ford Edge or Acura MDX. The latter two vehicles look somewhat similar And eyewitness or video evidence must have been hazy.

The CCTV where they've picked up the vehicles must be of terrible quality if they can't even decide if the Challenger is red or orange!

Also could they not get in an expert from Ford? I'm sure a Ford employee would be able to tell you straight away whether it's the Ford or the other vehicle. They look similar but there's definitely obvious differences between the two vehicles.

http://www.fox9.com/news/two-vehicles-of-interest-in-jayme-closs-investigation
Cameras captured surveillance video of two vehicles that were in the area around the time of the shooting at the Closs home in Barron, Wis. last week. Jayme Closs, 13, has been missing for a week. Her parents were found dead in their home.

One vehicle is believed to be a red or orange 2008 to 2014 Dodge Challenger. Investigators are uncertain of the make and model of the second vehicle. They believe the other vehicle could be a black 2006 to 2010 Ford Edge or a black 2004 to 2010 Acura MDX.

In a rural area like this, an SUV like that may not be as common as one would think, many people still drive much older cars. In a town like Barron I bet my 2013 model vehicle would look really out of place.
It’s tough, because you have two different model suv’s in a very common color.

That Dodge Challenger on the other hand...

The 2 darker vehicles are quite common. Dodge Challengers are not. IMO

Another thing to note ftr we have seen in other cases where many local arrests are made. This doesn’t always indicate a connection, rather an increased focus by Law Enforcement on the area as they canvass and sweep. They are dotting their i’s and connecting all bases; additionally a local might as a result be more inclined to talk if there’s any “word o. The street”. LE, if aware of an outstanding warrant, etc, has to follow up on that as they are made aware. (Unless they choose not to make an arrest for a specific reason, such as keeping an eye on someone.)

With a case like this, people may have ignored the criminal aspects of people they know. Now, they are being ratted off. No one likes soemthing like this or they wonder if they could be next.

I was looking at the daily mail earlier and they have a cctv footage of a vehicle similar to one of the black ones. Sorry don't know how to link. And sorry if way off base I'm not familiar with cars from outside the UK

Questions ? Social media result? Where was mother found in the house? HOw many gunshots? So much more...
Thoughts on why they aren't releasing the location of the mother.

If it's a two person team, they hope that someone flips, or if there is a confession from a singular individual, then that person can walk through the layout of the crime and would have key information that wasn't available to the public. In this case, the location of the body (unlike, say, a weapon used or clothing they think the perp was wearing) doesn't do much for the public in helps of alerting LE of a potential criminal.

Usually, I think LEO do this to secure a confession/analyze its potential truth.

This is the first time I'm thinking they have more than I think they have, if that makes sense! Much more than the two vehicles, too.

I disagree with this. If there is a vehicle of plenty I have seen in Wisconsin it is a Black Ford Edge.

I see farrrrrrrrrr less Acuras in the Midwest than I do Fords in my experiences. If we have to choose between an Acura MDX and a Ford Edge, all my money is on the Edge. Sometimes I feel like when I'm in rural Midwest it's a completely different world on the road. I see American cars I've literally never even heard of. Far less likely to see imports.

Question: was the night of the deed a clear one? partly or mostly cloudy? How about the moon - full, half, quarter, waxing, waning etc.? TIA.

Depending on the quality of footage, the Dodge can be pinpointed to the year made based on badging and striping packages. This is a car enthusiasts car and they are not as common as one may think

On the SUV, badging, grill style, lights, etc should give away the make, model and year. My guess is the footage is not great.

This is MOO
