Good question!I have a question on the 911 dispatch log. It says date of last contact for Jayme was 10/15/2018. Does that mean someone had contact with her on that date or do they just use the date of disappearance?

Exactly!! In these cases everyone speaks out!!!The really eerie part to all this is how silent the family and coworkers are. I mean lots of families aren't really that close and maybe just see each other on holidays. But you would think at least a couple of them would be trying to get the message out as much as possible. They would be fighting to get on air etc. Also the fact that the coworkers have been relatively quiet as well is so weird. Either they've been told to stay quiet by the FBI or something else.
Welcome to WS, miles414!
It stood out to me (and other posters) as well, so you are not the only one. IMO, if JC/DC family had ties to that area (i.e., a cabin, friends, family, etc--we don't know, so just speculating), and if LE learned of a connection like that after their murders, it would make sense to want to notify the respective county just in case perp(s) were to flee to that area with JLC. I had not seen this exact view of the house before but this photo brought up a few questions. I see a car parked over by the deck. I'm assuming this is a LE car but it got me wondering if their driveway wraps behind the house and next to the deck. Could the perp have parked near where that car is located or behind the house?
My other question on this photo is on the trash can directly behind dad's truck. Do we think LE would have moved the trashcan there? If not, why would dad essentially pull off of the driveway and back up that close to the to the trashcan? Or why park there under the tree at all? It might have been practical to let Denise out of the driveway the next day but it seems sort of far from the house. She could just as easily get out if he had parked next to her/in front of the other garage. Would LE have moved the vehicles for some reason when they processed the scene?
But why? Unless they are talking to the captors who have made that demand?

After looking at the fact post, I have one question I feel like hasn't been adequately answered - WHY was the Ontonagon County Sheriff Dept. contacted? They're at least 6 or 7 hours from Barron. Does this have to do with a suspect?
@Wrenny you are so right. My bad. I was thinking there was no time stamp on that and it was part of initial call and call out but you are correct it is 5 minutes later so it is that officer reporting it as he first saw it. I tried to go back and delete that line but with the thread closed I couldn't edit.Sorry, I dont know how to quote from a previous page, but in post #563 pinkfly wrote: Also because of the unanswered 911 call and call back the operator advised that it was a possible suicide....this was not decided after they saw the scene as some have reported.
The log reads:
1:03 329 advised of a possible suicide attempt. requested assistance from Barron PD. Advised 656.
I read this as meaning 329 told the dispatcher it could be a suicide attempt, and requested PD assistance, then the dispatcher contacted the PD.
Does this mean instead, that the dispatcher advised 329 it is a possible suicide attempt? And then who requested PD assistance? That would still need to be 329, right? And they were contacted by dispatch?
I don't have a link to it handy but you posted a video earlier that showed the medical examiner in the driveway. Is the trash can visible behind the truck in that video?Photo from the opening timeline Whiskers posted:

It kind of looks like they have two single car garage doors there. I think the two vehicles are the Closs family vehicles. I'm not sure anybody else notice the doors there?Photo from the opening timeline Whiskers posted:

Do you think james might of come home and saw a strange vehicle parked outside the house and decided Park up the road a bit to go investigate? Seems a bit strange to be parked that far away, so maybe he had a feeling something wasn’t right and wanted to sneak up to the house without being heard.Photo from the opening timeline Whiskers posted:

Im from that county which is why it stood out to me. The casinos up there are not in Ontonagon County..... theres really nothing there unless someone had a hunting cabin up there, MOO.Maybe only because I’m originally from the UP, but this also really stood out to me. I’ve been surprised this hasn’t caught more attention here.
Good point. All cases like this they are told not to speak to the media. But most still do ie: NG every night and most times it’s people who aren’t even directly connected. With this case i hear nothing but crickets. I think it’s very unusual. IMO
