Maybe only because I’m originally from the UP, but this also really stood out to me. I’ve been surprised this hasn’t caught more attention here.

I was wondering whether Ontonogan County has some sort of specialized search capability that they wanted to utilize?

It kind of looks like they have two single car garage doors there. I think the two vehicles are the Closs family vehicles. I'm not sure anybody else notice the doors there?

Yes. Those are their vehicles-- the red truck and the white car in the driveway.

Ironically LE seemed to know who they were. Called them out by name (and initials).

Also DOB and info. I’m guessing they stopped to question them and cleared them. It gives me even more confidence that they’re leaving no stone unturned.

Also looking at google maps aerial view of the area, it looks like all the houses are pretty close. But I keep hearing that their neighbors wouldn't have heard. But this really kinda looks like suburb area and I just have to believe someone saw something.

Do you think james might of come home and saw a strange vehicle parked outside the house and decided Park up the road a bit to go investigate? Seems a bit strange to be parked that far away, so maybe he had a feeling something wasn’t right and wanted to sneak up to the house without being heard.

Not sure. It could have been his usual spot to park. After reading other responses I guess it would also not be out of the question for LE to move the vehicles in order to make room for the evidence truck and ambulance used to take away the bodies.

Reviewing whiskers' facts. What does everyone make of the people who repeatedly drove by the house at 2:00 a.m. While the police were there. Who does that?

Someone in a previous thread said they were relatives but I saw no source for that. They were teenagers, allegedly.

I just went back a few pages looking for where that was said as well, so I’m curious about this too and who made this comment.

So I’m going to throw this out here..

Could she possibly have been abducted and already located, being kept in a safe place, and LE is continuing with the “she’s still missing” aspect, to obtain intel on who did the abduction and murders, as she’s been too traumatized to give an account of what happened, and that’s why there’s been no more info, no reward, and nothing more than the sharing of media posts, as well as why family haven’t been speaking out about it?

Jmo, all LE knows for sure is that Jayme is missing...meaning cannot be located. They do not know how she came to be missing. Did she run, and something happened to her later? Was she taken by force? Is she deceased but not yet found? They do not know.

I looked at the google map of their house, and it looked to me like their closest neighbour is on the other side of a grove of thick trees. So I can understand why the neighbour said she couldn't see anything much when she looked out the window, and didn't hear more than the 2 gunshots.

Im from that county which is why it stood out to me. The casinos up there are not in Ontonagon County..... theres really nothing there unless someone had a hunting cabin up there, MOO.

It is hunting season in that county now? I wonder if a family member was up there hunting for the weekend and they needed to contact LE up there to look for the person. In order to either make sure Jayme didn't go hunting them or simply to notify family of the murders. JMO.

First, a huge *thank you* to Whiskers16 for the superb recap. Really fantastic and so helpful!
Second, "bullet-riddled bodies" sounds so Bonnie and Clyde! What on earth could these two people who worked at a turkey factory done that merited ending up with bullet-riddled bodies?!!
Finally, as for the neighbor who called the Victims "reclusive"...well duh...one of them was always sleeping, since they worked opposite shifts. Thus, the quiet. Was it just me or did anyone else get a vision of Mrs. Cavitz from Bewitched when ready that statement!

Amateur opinion and speculation only

I don't believe that their bodies were full of bullet holes. Those are the kinds of injuries you would see with a machine gun, or something like that, with bullets spraying all over the place. The DM is consistently unreliable. It's right up there with Radar on Line.

It makes sense (and I wish it were true!) but to continue with a nationwide search for her?? I don’t think so. :/
