It sounds like the dad opened the door and was shot, since that’s where the body was found. And then the mom shot? Maybe tied up? And poor Jayme was in the house for a half hour after the murders until the 911 call? Omg, that poor girl. I wonder how she was able to call 911, maybe she told Siri to call? I cannot imagine the horrors she must have already experienced. I hope they find her, soon.

I actually live 10 mins from Barron. I’ve driven by that house a billion times. If someone had been watching her and learning her routine, family routine, work schedules, etc in order to plan the kidnapping out then it wouldn’t have been suspicious at all to drive by that house numerous times a day even. The home is right off of a major road in the area.

Before the Miami sighting is dismissed, just a thought, the murderer/abductor may have first driven to Miami and then flown back to WI. He or She may have taken Jayme back to Miami on a plane with car waiting at the airport. This however would seem to suggest Jayme was willing to go, otherwise she surely would have made a scene at the airport.

They should have every gas station and property owner check their surveillance cameras and property.

Since someone stated earlier that the pictures being used of Jayme are when she was a little younger, anyone have a more current picture?
I would like to share it. LE is asking that her info be shared on all SM as far as the last update I saw.
Thanks in advance,
Chi
The one picture I've been seeing on the amber alerts from Twitter was one that Jayme had as her profile pic on Facebook from August 17th.

And it is 1 hour later in Miami due to the time zone change so the time of the alleged sighting in Miami is only 12 to 13 hours from the 911 call.

I said this yesterday that law enforcement is, for whatever reason, not using the most recent photo of her. Not using a photo of what she looks like (older) makes no sense to me but apparently this is how law enforcement wants to do it and it is only going to lead to tips and calls across the country of alleged sightings that won't be her.

Worse, now people are going to see news stories in their area in other parts of the country and say - "Oh, she is in Florida" - and they aren't going to have an eye out where they are. The Miami sighting is blowing across nationwide if you look at the Google News feed.

what i don't understand is ... it seems really irresponsible for the Miami police to be the ones blasting it out since this theory is so easily debunked or at least shown to be highly unlikely ... driving is totally impossible and unless they pre-setup a fake identity for her it would be almost impossible to get her on a plane with no paper trail. Of course they have to follow up on the tip and the plate number, but you would think they would be more low key about this.

They might be able to trace the weapon back once they analyze the bullets. Might be able to look up who owns that type of weapon in that area.

School portraits typically are taken early in the academic year. I hope this is true in Jayme's case, and that LE obtains her most recent photo from the studio.

This reminds me of the Jennifer Short case in Virginia in 2002. Both parents murdered and the 9-year old daughter missing.

So wouldn't the killers car have been spotted that night by a passersby if that road is that busy? Thank you in advance.

If the dad was shot once he opened the door then this was a very premeditated plan before they even entered the home.

Imo the suspect knew before entering the parents home no one was coming out alive but the murderer and Jayme.

We have sitings in almost every missing case. Most recently in the Mollie Tibbetts case.
Every once in a while, they are valid, like when Shasta was seen.
I don't know if it's possible, but flying would be the most viable option in my humble opinion.
Jayme is a victim. I don't want to "go there".
Right this moment, I don't think the siting in Florida is credible, but since LE is reviewing the footage that will put a stop to it or accelerate this case like crazy.
National attention, such as CNN and others to come this morning, are often the key.
I think this story was just on the Today show, or is about to come on. I haven't had the tv on today, but someone sent me the info.

I only see one court case online related, however it was a divorce. Everything else checks out clean from the family.

I noticed something that troubled me a little bit here. In a town of 3300 people, there are 19 sex offenders who live within a 3 mile radius of the town center. 27, if you count the ones who have an address with the local jail.

EDITED: Sorry, I posted something based on a totally wrong date. Deleted!

Some random thoughts after a night’s sleep. James (Jayme’s Dad) was a sportsman and there was a pic of him with a bunch of guys preparing to go hunting posted on FB. That translates to: he owned guns. Guns are valuable as is ammunition. (I go to WI auctions, most guys are crazy over guns in rural WI) There is also a growing drug problem in rural areas. I noted Barron County news, lots of meth arrests and this foreboding article from May 2018: Meth monster returns to Chippewa Valley and is extending its reachj

So aside from the scenario that Jayme was stalked and kidnapped, she may have fallen prey to some people caught up in that business (somehow). Users, dealers . . . Consider all possibilties.

They should have every gas station and property owner check their surveillance cameras and property.

The closest neighbor to her home is about 700-800 ish feet away. The home is also on the outskirts of Barron in the country a little. There are no street lights or city lights around her home. It gets very dark out there at night due to the limited light pollution. Hwy 8 would probably be pretty quiet that time of night as well, especially considering it was a Sunday night and most people went back to work the next day. So there wouldn’t have been many cars driving by, if any at all. Also around this area of Wisconsin most people don’t have home cameras. They might have trail cams up for hunting season but the trail cams mostly likely wouldn’t have been placed close enough to the home to catch anything. In the unlikely chance that someone did have a home camera, her home would’ve been so dark and far away for anything to probably be made out.

'UPDATE: Viewing surveillance video with gas station owner right now. Video isn’t clear, but the young girl in the vehicle in question doesn’t appear to be restrained or in a captive situation. Detectives returned to PD to enhance image and ID. @WPLGLocal10 @WISN12News'

Even though it says that she doesn't appear to be restrained or in captive situation doesn't mean she isn't scared. She may be tired, they may have given her something to "relax" her so she would not be combative. MOO

I read the divorce was 10 years ago and Jayme is 13. Was the female victim her biological mother?
Don't know where you would read that since a search of Wisconsin State Court Cases shows that both of her parents were divorced from previous spouses years (at least 4 years) before Jayme was born.

In the day it’s busy as it’s the main way people get to the twin cities, or from the city of Barron and to their homes in the country. At night there aren’t many cars, especially a Sunday night/ early Monday morning. As everyone is sleeping for work the next day. I think that’s why it happened that day of the week tbh.
