Tomorrow marks one month since Kathleen Ryan was discovered deceased & seriously burned in a flaming car. Why has everything gone radio silent?

Does anyone have an idea when the coroner might release Kathleen's "preliminary cause of death?" I've been checking, but have not seen anything.

Coroner: Body in burned vehicle is that of Milwaukee woman
"Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper announced Thursday dental records confirmed the body found late Saturday is that of 56-year-old school teacher Kathleen Ryan. Cooper says additional testing is needed before he releases the preliminary cause of Ryan's death."

It's possible the coroner may not be able to determine the cause or manner of her death, isn't it?

I saw something on a private Facebook page for a school in Wisconsin. It caught my eye because the parent warned others about an experience their daughter had while driving to Milwaukee from Chicago. I'll share details that are pretty generic.

This parent said that while driving alone to Wisconsin on a SATURDAY, daughter noticed (Vehicle described by not shared by me) following her for 45 minutes. She felt she was being tailgated. Parents warned her that if van crashes into you don't stop. Keep driving.

She noticed the van around Gurnee. It followed her all the way to the school in Milwaukee, then to the police station (where the van continued on - went straight). She was able to file a police report and the police did escort her back to school!

I think I may give the van's description to police and maybe reference the fact that Milwaukee police were involved on Saturday. I'm sure it is a long shot.

Link?

I experience cars behind me when I drive too, especially to busy areas. Maybe im just not as paranoid?
I'd take this facebook post you say with a grain of salt. Like a chain letter.

Earlier on when googling this case I accidentally happened upon this crime. I bring it up only as a curiosity. I’m not saying they are related.

Similar only in that: unsolved, burned car, (ironically both Pontiac but different models) along what looks to be somewhat woody, sparsely-populated neighborhood very near a main highway. This victim, Davita Ward was shot. The distance to where Kathleen was found is about 80 minutes.

What I find MOST interesting or SAD is that this (Davita Ward) case was called in as car fire, put out WITHOUT noticing a body inside. I guess fire put out, car left on site, and then later someone else calls in to say a body is inside. Burned-out car in Gary homicide belonged to missing 29-year-old woman, police say

Woman found in burned-out vehicle in Gary was shot to death

FYI, I looked and couldn’t find a thread for Davita Ward.

Just checking in . . . I see it’s now been one month and sad to see, there is no news.

Carmel's emotional season ends with loss to DePaul Prep in 3A sectional semis

Honoring “KR”: Ryan said the Corsairs were like a tight-knit family all season. That was on display with a “KR” patch they wore on their uniforms.

Zack Ryan’s mother, Kathleen Ryan, was driving from Wisconsin to see Carmel’s game against Chicago Sullivan on Feb. 2. But Kathleen Ryan, a devout Carmel basketball fan, never showed up for the nonconference game. Police found her vehicle on fire in Warren Township. It was later confirmed that Kathleen Ryan, 56, died in the car fire.

The only coroner's report I can find has not been updated since February 5th, and does not list cause of death. The article cited above in post #631 was published in the Chicago Tribune, but was written by a freelance reporter (see below), so I am skeptical of the accuracy of his statement about the cause of Kathleen's death. MOO.

Bob Narang is a freelance reporter for Pioneer Press.

I wouldn't read to much into the wording in the article.

The reporter doesn't know any more than we do as far as how or when Kathleen died. Come to think about it, he might know even less than we know.

We are coming up on the 6 week mark so hopefully some toxicology reports or finalized autopsy reports soon. LE may keep them quiet though, if they provide such data as to get close to a suspect.

I'm surprised nothing has been found out yet!

I read this article quite a while ago, and it paints a pretty graphic picture as to what exactly there is of this poor woman left, like you mentioned. It explains to me why there's been so little info coming out about her and I honestly do wonder if this case, or incident, can ever be resolved?
It surely is a puzzle :(

My mind keeps wondering back to this sad, sad case. What happened to this Mom, Grandmom and wife? I do hope LE is working behind the scenes to solve this most perplexing and frightening crime. Why?
