In this particular close area I'd say very safe but go 7-8 blocks north and west and I'd say no. We had lunch at the nick today and it was really good. I've been to a number of weddings there all beautifully done. I was married around d the corner at the villa terrace decorative arts museum.

What a beautiful place/venue. I'd love to visit and take the tour of the Villa. It looks like spring/summer would be best because of the beautiful gardens there.

The building really appeals to me. I love the atmosphere colonial styles create in towns and cities. I see the brass plate there.

Is this area generally safe though?
The Knickerbocker Hotel seems like it would be a nice place to visit.
My husband's grandmother lived in Hales Corners. I don't know why we never took the time to explore Milwaukee.

O/T... But my very first thought was..."What a cool building!" :)

Such a tragedy.

A few peeps may recall that I recently commented about the uncanny circumstances that sometimes crop up in cases. That's happened frequently lately. Then someone said, Uncanny would make a good handle. Wish I would have thought of it!

Here we have uncanny circumstances imo. Or maybe I've not paid that much attention to Kenosha news before.
Whatever happened to the guy Kelly supposedly had contact with (possibly had dated or was planning to) who is from Kenosha?
It was reported that she met him through OKcupid. Did he use a disposable phone?
It is possible that a married man would misrepresent his hometown when making his profile.

I hope the man who disappeared from Naperville, who was found in Kenosha, has nothing to do with either situation.

First time posting here. Just curious, the Kenosha police department released a statement a few hours ago about the woman's body being found in Chicago and the Kenosha man being in custody however they are not releasing the name until after the autopsy. Just curious why one media source would disclose the victims identity and a police department saying the identity of the victim is being withheld. Right when I read it I immediately thought of this case which is why I checked to see if anything had been said but it seems like it is, just different information.

I've been a long time reader of the forums here, probably years, but only recently when some missing persons that were from areas I am very familiar with, did I attempt to join. By the time I got all the registration worked out, that case was over so this is the first time I'm actually posting.

First time poster here as well (and hats off to Woe.be.gone for inspiration on my handle). ;)

I noticed on Milwaukee area newscasts tonight that police have brought in cadaver dogs to work the landfill site, which pretty much confirms that the "clue" they are looking for is a body. Sad news.

I hope this link is allowable. Just noticed its a blogspot - thought it was a news outlet.

Can't figure out why LE isn't releasing his name unless they're figuring out what to charge him with and don't want to name him until then.
I found the above article with a picture and his name. Here's an example of how you can't tell a book by its cover. He looks so normal, doesn't he?
Apparently they were dating for about a year and a half. Now two lives are ruined. I believe I read a headline that indicates Erin was a mother too. Terrible loss.

Oh that's great about your WS name - sounds great!

The landfill search is not great. Wonder why they're concentrating there, I mean, if the reason is based on more than just a hunch.

Furthermore, the reporter explained that Kelly was last seen going into bf's (still reporting him as bf) apartment building.
The landfill they've been searching, for three days now, is where the trash from his building ends up.
We can probably deduce then that there's no evidence that Kelly ever exited his building on her own.

I wonder if there's any chance he enlisted an accomplice. They should check the video for any person leaving with a suitcase who didn't walk in with one. What if someone else helped him and took the suitcase far away.
Does anyone think LE scrutinized the video over the following days looking for other possibilities?

On another note, I wonder what reason he gave to whomever for leaving his computer at their place. I read LE located his computer somewhere else. Was it at his mother's house? Iirc they said they tracked the computer down at a friend's house. Although, he was found at his mother's house.

Thanks Woe.be.gone. - I've lurked here off and on for several years but this one caught my attention because I now live in Chicago (yes, I actually am Canadian but recently moved here.)

One other VERY disturbing piece of information I have turned up tonight is the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 criminal complaint against KZ, which includes graphic descriptions of the material found. I found it so completely revolting that I am not comfortable posting the link but can say it is in the same Journal Sentinel repository as the criminal drug complaint. Google it and you will find it (hint: kris zocco criminal complaint pdf.)

There are some more details in it about what was found in the apartment that makes me wonder if Kelly may have stumbled upon it, causing KZ to take action. However, if he was that sensitive about her finding it, I don't know why he would have left it there for police to find.

The complaint also indicates that there appears to have been no cleaning of the apartment since the first warrant was executed searching for drugs. It seems he may have just left jail after the initial arrest and headed straight to his parents' home rather than returning to his apartment. Maybe a sign of guilt - not wanting to return to the place where bad things may have happened?
