In this particular close area I'd say very safe but go 7-8 blocks north and west and I'd say no. We had lunch at the nick today and it was really good. I've been to a number of weddings there all beautifully done. I was married around d the corner at the villa terrace decorative arts museum.

The building really appeals to me. I love the atmosphere colonial styles create in towns and cities. I see the brass plate there.
Is this area generally safe though?
The Knickerbocker Hotel seems like it would be a nice place to visit.
My husband's grandmother lived in Hales Corners. I don't know why we never took the time to explore Milwaukee.
O/T... But my very first thought was..."What a cool building!"![]()

Body of Wisconsin woman Erin Ziemendorf, 30, found in car trunk near Chicago Greyhound station
First time posting here. Just curious, the Kenosha police department released a statement a few hours ago about the woman's body being found in Chicago and the Kenosha man being in custody however they are not releasing the name until after the autopsy. Just curious why one media source would disclose the victims identity and a police department saying the identity of the victim is being withheld. Right when I read it I immediately thought of this case which is why I checked to see if anything had been said but it seems like it is, just different information.
I've been a long time reader of the forums here, probably years, but only recently when some missing persons that were from areas I am very familiar with, did I attempt to join. By the time I got all the registration worked out, that case was over so this is the first time I'm actually posting.

First time poster here as well (and hats off to Woe.be.gone for inspiration on my handle).
I noticed on Milwaukee area newscasts tonight that police have brought in cadaver dogs to work the landfill site, which pretty much confirms that the "clue" they are looking for is a body. Sad news.

Oh that's great about your WS name - sounds great!
The landfill search is not great. Wonder why they're concentrating there, I mean, if the reason is based on more than just a hunch.
Welcome to WS, UncannyCanuck!
