Missing child believed to be in Milwaukee

Police say three-year-old Major P. Harris is the son of a homicide victim and that he was last seen in La Crosse on October 9, 2021.

Authorities believe he may have been taken to the Milwaukee area sometime between October 9th and October 12th.

Specifically, police say the 2600 block of North 37th Street, near West Clarke Street, is an area of interest.

Harris is described as standing three feet tall and weighing about 40 pounds.

He has shoulder-length dreadlocks and brown eyes. He was last seen in a dark blue t-shirt with nave blue shorts.

Police say before he went missing, Harris may have been traveling in a black 2008 Chevrolet Equinox with Wisconsin license plates reading ABE2804.

Police looking for endangered missing toddler

Harris has a small birthmark on his right buttock, a small abrasion on the right side of his face and has delayed speech according to MPD.

MPD said he was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt with small pocket on left side, navy blue Nike basketball shorts and he was barefoot.

No information but he's been missing awhile, did they just now find the body of one of his parents?

BBM. This is a VERY rough area. I would not be surprised if plates were taken off the Chevy by now and/or the suspect is in a new car - there have been several car thefts in this vicinity.

I'm concerned about the conflicting info that i'm seeing in regards to the last sighting of little Major.

According to this article he was lost seen in La Crosse, WI in Oct. 9th.
Amber Alert: Milwaukee police searching for missing 3-year-old boy

According to another article though, "Major was last seen at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday in the 2600 block of N. 37th Street in Milwaukee, according to the amber alert, which said he’s the child of a homicide victim."
Wisconsin Amber Alert: Major Harris missing after homicide

Either way, why are we just today getting an Amber Alert?!

I hope that somebody has been keeping tabs on this sweet child.

I am local to this case and I think the reason the Amber Alert was just issued might be that the homicide victim was just now positively identified as Major's parent. Major looks like he is local to La Crosse but was brought to Milwaukee where his parent was killed sometime between last Saturday and Thursday. Saturday may have been a custody swap day, perhaps.

Milwaukee police confirm this is the homicide connected to the Amber Alert for Major Harris. Harris was last scene around the same time as this homicide, police say it was his mother who was killed. Hi neighbor! I'm local too. It just raises a lot of questions when the adults around a child can't say when he was last seen. Obviously, and tragically, the last person besides his abductor, might have been his deceased mom:( Was she jst now identified? Discovered? or did they just now realize that her son was missing? Hoping for a good outcome for Major!

Who is the suspect? Is he the father? Relative? Stranger?

All we know as of right now is that he likely killed Major's mom.

I'm pretty sure the Amber Alert notification going off literally shook the walls of my building because everyone was getting it at the same time. I know from experience it takes Milwaukee County ME 1-3 days to positively identify homicide victims/notify their families. If Major's mom was found Thursday morning it might have taken all day to notify her family of her death and then they tried to figure out yesterday if Major was accounted for and realized he was not there.
