WI WI - Rose Bly, 21, St. Croix Falls, 21 Aug 2009

Good point about we don't know how many cousins Rose had. Additionally, what if she had a friend with a similar name to one if her cousins? We don't have Rose's words on what she was doing that night, we have her husband's. People can make mistakes, maybe he heard a name and just assumed she meant her cousin therefore this is what he reported to the police?

So, in that case, we don't know who she might have been going to see and it's possible that person set her up.

Speculation by me, moo, just a suggestion... However, something in this case is awry. If people report what they believe to be the truth except it's a mistake, then it would definitely mess up trying to solve the case.

does anyone find it strange that after her husband took a polygraph test they just let him go i thought that a polygraph is not correct half the time so how can they believe him my gut is telling me that the husband did something specially to divorce rose 3 weeks after she went missing what does he know and what isnt he telling us

From my experience as a lawyer, polygraphs are done mainly to satisfy the public that something is being done. Anybody in the industry or lawyers who work with polygraphs realize they can be inaccurate and the interpretations can vary from tester to tester, day to day. I'm sure they were investigating him with that in mind. Cases this old, they are waiting to find the remains or get a tip and feel they have exhausted the avenues they know about.

The husband divorcing Rose so soon after she went missing said to me he believed she had left him and the child(ren) for another man. He didn't want her back and he was getting legal custody for when she came back and tried to take them. That's the only reason I could see for those actions. It also occurred to me that if he had known or thought she was dead, there would have been no reason for the wasted expense of a divorce.

Certain things require either a divorce or a court finding the person is deceased. With kids involved it might make more sense to do the divorce because then you have orders in place in case she shows up again one day. Maybe there were other things he needed to take care of quickly, it’s hard to say.

For this case, I’m still interested in that one female FB commenter who thought her ex boyfriend was the perp.

Help Find Rose Marie Bly
You're talking about JJJ who said her husband had a bunch of newspaper clippings of the Rose Bly case in his basement?
I couldn’t find that specific comment, but there’s enough absolutely batpoop suggestions and comparisons on that thread. What opinionated nonsense, comparing people thirty years older, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 scams… yikes.

I found the "Ryan" and Jenna that would fit a restraining order, BUT, the date of 2019 doesn't fit, nor the state of MN. However, I did find her and another person she had a restraining order against, we'll call him D.G. Now, he fits the criteria. I took all the addresses that he, "Jenna" and Christopher Larson lived at, especially in and around 2009, and mapped them.

DG lived at 7512 W Balsam St, Webster, WI, 7442 Clemenson Dr, Siren, WI and 404 Traffic Ave N., Frederic, WI. Christopher Larson lived at 1544 County Road West, Frederick, WI, 1.9 miles from DG, sometime before and when Bly went missing. I think DG fits the person Jenna/Jennifer was referring to more than 'Ryan" does. DG also has ties to MN according to Ancestry.com's U.S., Index to Public Records, 1994-2019
Also, notice below, DG's addresses (third image) He lived at 7442 Clemenson Dr. in Siren, WI. from 2009-2012. Siren is just 15.3 miles east of Grantsburg, WI, where Bly's car was found. Cushing to Grantsburg to Siren is a straight shot. RG could have easily gotten a ride from Grantsburg to Siren after dropping the vehicle off. He might even have worked there.

I think LE should find out if Bly, her cousin and Larson knew RG or if RG ever frequented the tavern in Cushing that Bly never arrived at (or at least never arrived inside) or whether he worked or socialized in Cushing or Grantsburg.

What say you?

I never got back to this case after you found all this. Great sleuthing! I think it’s worth submitting to LE - go for it! 👍
