Its a shame Sandra's disappearance hasn't gotten more coverage. Imo she would've been heard from or seen by now.
I don't like it when someone gets away w disappearing another human. Jmo

Franklin woman missing for six weeks, friends and family hold prayer vigil

A Franklin woman is still missing six weeks after she reportedly left her home on March 26.

Sandra Eckert, 70, was last seen leaving her home in her gray 2005 Dodge Stratus with the Wisconsin license plate 319LGT late that night.

Franklin police told 12 News Friday they do not have an update on the case.

Sandra's friends and family hosted a prayer vigil for her at Ken Windl Park near her home.

There has not been activity on Eckert's social media, phone or bank since she went missing.

They followed the car for a bit because it was bar time on a weekend, sort of a standard practice considering how many drunk drivers in WI. Its my understanding police cars automatically run plates when they are behind a car
Welcome to Ws Retracedskyline, thanks for chiming in with that interesting tidbit!

I'm so glad there were people gathered for Sandra.
Why some cases gather steam while others struggle..?
I wish one of the YouTuber's or podcast people would pick up on this case.
I work outside the home, all I have time for in the evening is to skim and catch up on all my cases. I wish I could devote time to this kind of case. Sandra needs to be found.

Her hubby spoke at the vigil. "The kids and grandkids need her, and uh, we need her back. I need her too." His attempt at crying would have looked better had he dropped at least one tear. The reporter's face at the 1:29 mark is about how mine looks right now.

I don't understand why she was still driving around at 3 a.m.! I wish the cops had seen who was driving. Also are there bodies of water around there she could have driven into. It has happened many times before

So nothing? A human disappears and nothing but maybe gladness from one person? I feel like this is exactly the outcome most murders are hoping for. Even if the car and Sandra are found in a lake it still needs to be look at. just as any human disappearing, especially when a wonky marriage/home life situation arises. Imo

Did they check bodies of water???

I'm local-ish and so sad to see there haven't been any updates on Sandra. It's surprising (and scary) to me that in 2021 a car and person can disappear.

Great discussion of Eckert body language here; it's the second case on the video.

Hello, nice to see people still thinking about Sandy because local PD doesn't seem to be. We got her case listed on NAMUS database, so if somehow she's found in another state at least her info is out there.

Missing Person / NamUs #MP85772

There was a massive search effort back when she went missing by authorities, and also friends/family. I don't know that anyone has checked the lakes/rivers all that closely.

Family desperate for answers after Franklin woman disappeared 10 months ago

Jan 15, 2022

Sandra Eckert, a 70-year-old Franklin resident went missing in March.

Her family is still searching for answers 10 months later.

WISN 12 News asked her daughter, Kelsey, if driving off at night was unusual of Eckert.

"Absolutely. She wouldn’t even drive to my house during 'rush hour' of COVID," she said. "She would not have ever taken a car in the middle of the night. That wasn’t her car, she never drove that car, she wouldn't. It's just simply not part of her character."

Now, the family is offering $50,000 for information to solve this case.

Police did search the couple's home in April, 2021. The search warrant is filed under a seal in court. No one has been charged or publicly named a suspect.

In addition to the reward, the family and friends set up a website with additional information, images and a way to submit anonymous tips.

Police urge anyone with information to call the Franklin Police Department 414-425-2522.
