So they just let this friend go, like, no big deal for assisting a mentally ill convicted murderer escape?
If she didn’t actually help her escape she could have helped her friend by calling LE immediately when she knew where Geyser was. Not help her get further away.

I know, but I don't think they should have just immediately released her. She wasn't obstructing police from finding some shoplifter. It's a convicted murderer with mental health problems.

Just spitballing here, but if I remember correctly, Geyser had started to identify as a male. Perhaps the acquaintance similarly identifies as such and this is why there's so much confusion over whether or not the 42 year old is male or female. Just speculation on my part.
